Omg, America is like the fattest country in the world.... the riches... also the fattest?! America needs to stop eating so much junk and eating "low calorie" foods, because you are still eating the junk...

*green tea helps to loose weight
*so does sleeping
* eating more(makes metabolism speed up...but not junk food)

Also... America has a lot of pimple/face problems

*Witch hazel (toner) helps to reduce the appearance of large pores
* "Collective wellbeing" a natural skincare line takes away pimples better than anything ( + it's organic)
* "KISS MY FACE" lotion called "Chinese botanicals" softens skin and HEALS (it's organic)
* Honey masks reduce the redness of pimples
* getting steam on your face will help open pores
*Scrub helps to take off dead skin and make room for new skin
*DRY BRUSHING/loofa/boar brush, will help detox skin. It will take off all of the toxins which make your skin their home every day. It will help to get rid of ingrown hair and more.

Answer
Okay, you've got some cool pictures and your site looks interestings, but many a good site goes unnoticed because it's not publicized enough.
Basically, if you want your site to work, advertise and post it's link EVERYWHERE. You've got the fundamentals, you've just got to make it accessible to everyone. Tell everyone you know about it, use the link as your 'signature' in emails, direct people to it whenever your answer a question on Yahoo! Answers.
You've got a good start with a cool site, but to make it work, make sure you make people come to it! :)

Whats the brands name you use?
Give me details :D
how do you prevent wrinkles?
how do you keep ur face skin looking NICE??

Answer
I LOVE yes to cucumbers(sensitive to normal skin). It is a natural skin care line, they also have Yes to carrots(dry skin i think), yes to tomatoes(problematic skin), yes to blueberries(anti-aging). Well i use almost everything from yes to cucumbers facial line. I use the calming cucumber facial cleansing gel(6 days a week morning and night, on day of the week night only), Clean and clear Morning burst in oil free (*the orange one; once a week morning only for a more deep clean i guess), Eye love cucumbers Soothing eye gel, Complete care Facial Hydrating Lotion(also yes to cucumbers), Yes to cucumbers facial towles(to remove makeup), and i exfoliate twice weekly with this Aveeno exfoliater that is water activated and gets soooo warm(it feels good but not sure how i like i). And for extra care/special treats(face masks etc) i like to switch it up a lot. I like to wash my face with oatmeal sometimes after washing my face with my one of my other face washes or in substitute of my other face wash(watch bubzbeauty's video on youtube). I use Yes to Carrots C the difference Exfoliating and Soothing Mud Mask for dry to sensitive skin. Queen Helene Mud Pack Mask. Queen Helene Mint Julepe Mask. Queen Helene Grape see extract peel(amazing, you just spread it on your face then wait till it dries and peel off instead of scrubbing off). Honey and lemon/lime mask (Makes your face look glowy and tan and amazingly soft. Just honey with a few squirts of lime juice). Once a week to every two weeks i either use bior pore strips or i use homade ones(MichellePhan on youtube has a video on how to make these)And then lastly i also steam my face to clean out my pores. Yes this might sound like alot but i have amazing skin because of this, i hardly ever have pimples :D and with the face masks i try to do at least two every month and i try to steam my face at least once a month and i try to wash my face with oatmeal at least once a week. (:

Skin care question?? 10 points best answer!?

..........

I just started using a new face scrub and wash. I am 13 years old and luckily, I do not have bad acne at all. I get maybe one or two pimples once every 2 weeks, but I get lots of tiny unnoticeable blackheads on my nose. It makes it look like my pores are huge! The face wash I use is the Neutrogena Clear Pore face scrub. Then after I wash it, I rinse my face with the Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser. I do this all before I go to bed, so I don't put makeup on right after. I just started this routine about 2 days ago and my skin feels great and my blackheads are getting smaller. My only problem is that I have noticed my skin has become somewhat irritated. This is the skin around my eyes (not my circles but below them haha). Im not sure when I noticed this but I feel like it was about 2-3 days ago. Im not sure if this is from my skin care routine or from washing off my makeup (i dont think its that) or because I am testing out new makeup techniques.Usually after I wash my face I put on this dermatologist recommended cream where my blackheads are and under my eyes (i get tiny blackheads there too). But tonight I had to wash it off because it really started to sting around my eyes and they were red under my circles (red and kinda puffy). What could this be from? Just washing it with water and drying off with a towel? It only seems to get red after i wash my face and when I put on the cream. It can't be from the Neutrogena Clear Pore scrub because I have used it multiple times before, but could it be from using both Neutrogena scrubs and pores? Am i cleaning my skin too much? I was told that after a scrub you need to wash your face...is that true? Much thanks!!

Answer
When you say scrub, I'm assuming that it's an exfoliating scrub, so it might be too much for your skin, especially if you're concentrating on those areas where the blackheads are. Try not to use it as much. Limit your use of the scrub to maybe 3 or4 times a week, instead of every night. It might be too abrasive on your skin. Also, if the cream you're using burns, don't use it! Try using a face lotion that has no fragrance in it, and put it on those areas, so that they don't get dry. May I recommend Aveeno's face lotion... You can try to start using the cream again once your skin gets the moisture it needs and heals up, but if it's still burning, then it's just not for you. Good luck :)

Answer
Google celebrities laser skin resurfacing.
http://education.makemeheal.com/index.php/Category:Celebrities_With_Laser_Skin_Resurfacing

My dermatologist do not recommend them. Talk to your dermatologist.

Topping the list of factors you can control is no shocker: Sun exposure is agingâs greatest accomplice. âYou hear it over and over again, but thatâs because itâs true,â according to New York City dermatologist David E. Bank, MD, FAAD, âThe sunâs rays break down collagen and elastin in the skin, causing wrinkles.â

Number one rule: stay out of the sun. Like Mario Lopez, he's a Mexican descent, but he won't even stand outside in the sun to do a photo shoot for a tanning lotion. Julianne Moore is one of those, who like to protect her skin from AGING. She walks in the shade. I grow up in Asia for 13 years, so I was dark, but it took more than 13 years to the color I have now. My neighbor only do errands after the sun had gone down.

Best sunscreen: wear denim clothing, floppy hat, or umbrella. They were invented to protect us from the elements.

I've been protecting myself from the sun since I was 9.

1. Because I don't want to look like a farmer.
2. Because I get too hot.
3. I want to look like movie stars & models, they have blemish-free skins.
4. I don't want to look like an old prune or get moles on my neck & face like my aunts.

No matter, I still got Discoid Lupus (Google it), caused from the sun. It took 12 years for them to fade. Tried all kinds of lotions that were prescribed to me, and none of them worked. More & more now I protect myself and I take my wide brim hat everywhere I go, or use an umbrella. Floppy hats are back in style. In Asia, they use umbrella all the time. Here in the States, people started to catch on, and I see people walking w/umbrella, they are used on the beach, and they sell patio umbrellas. It was invented for a reason and also to protect us from getting skin cancer. Wear long jackets, or denim a lot. Even inside a car, the heat alone from the sun can tan anyone.

RE SKIN LIGHTENING:
The FDA have banned 23 more whitening products. Google it. About 17,600,000 results.
The reason cited for the proposed ban is that studies in rodents show "some evidence" that hydroquinone may act as a carcinogen or cancer-causing chemical, although its cancer-causing properties have yet to be proved in humans. Hydroquinone also has been linked with the medical condition known as ochronosis in which the skin becomes dark and thick. Dome-shaped yellowish spots and grayish-brown spots also are observed in ochronosis among black women and men in South Africa, Britain, and the U.S. Ochronosis has been observed in conjunction with hydroquinone use even in persons who have used hydroquinone-containing cosmetics for a short time. Some studies also report abnormal function of the adrenal glands and high levels of mercury in people who have used hydroquinone-containing cosmetics. For these reasons, hydroquinone has already been banned in Japan, the European Union, and Australia.

Any skin-lightening products containing hydroquinone would be considered new drugs, according to the proposed FDA regulations. The products would require FDA approval before being sold to the public and would only be available with a doctor's prescription.
Skin Creams, Soaps and Lotions Marketed as Skin Lighteners and Anti-aging Treatments: May Contain the Toxic Metal, Mercury.

One YA poster used lemon on her skin: "i use 2 put lemon on my face mostly my chin area, and wat happend it dried it out and actually made it look darker and now looks discoloredâ¦"

Does Simple Skin Care products work good?

Lady Gaga

Answer
Simple Skin Care, organic, or over the counter works, but less products you use, the better for your skin in the long run. It is a billion dollar business, less product poisoning, no matter who made them or how much you spend or how often you use them.

In the beauty industry, there is no industry-agreed meaning for terms like 'organic' or 'natural'. Unlike the food industry, these terms are not regulated for cosmetics which means companies can use these terms pretty freely

Don't believe the hype: "For skin care products, 'organic is not enough,. Some organic products are fabulous, and some are not." ~ Dr. Lisa Chipps , M.D. specializes in removing skin cancer & repairing the resultant wound (laser therapy whiz) in Rodeo Drive.
"Organic skin care products are trendy, but that does not mean nonorganic ones are dangerous," Wendy E. Roberts, M.D. past president of the Women's Dermatologic Society.

Body Lotion. Beauty or Health?

Labels:

Volks

Does body lotion have anything to do with your skin healthwise? or jst Beaty?

Answer
it can definitely work both ways, it helps the skin from drying out obviously so thats sort of a 'health' and 'beauty' benefit in one, because the idealized 'healthy' skin is not supposed to look dryed out & also some lotions come with SPFs to protect against UV rays it basically goes hand in hand because healthy is beautiful & the other way around

Can I dye my hair using Brown Henna Hair Dye?

Labels:

Rosie

Year ago i got a Black Henna tattoo whilst on holiday. I suffered from itchiness and scaring.

I put no thought into this, and dyed my hair a few years later and suffered from MAJOR swelling to the head, and I was hospitalized.
I now understand that I am allergic to Black Henna.

HOWEVER, is there any hair products I can use to dye my hair without causing an allergic reaction? I have done some research and apparently I would be safe using Natural Brown Henna Hair Dyes..

If anyone knows anything more on this subject, i'd be extremely grateful!

Answer
For years, there has been speculation among consumers and health groups that consistent use of hair color can result in an increased risk of certain types of cancer. According to Begoun, this is a real concern, but exhaustive research by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Cancer Institute and the National Institutes of Health has yielded no conclusive answers. Begoun says the research has been both confusing and conflicting: "In essence ⦠there is no definitive proof one way or the other." The FDA recommends that consumers weigh the risk for themselves.

Henna, for example, is a natural hair color that is incredibly drying to the hair shaft, Begoun says. And cosmetics scientists at TheBeautyBrains.com say that henna will only temporarily tint your hair. Although most so-called natural hair-color products use fewer chemicals than most drugstore hair colors, experts say that any change to natural hair color causes hair damage. Experts suggest using the gentlest formula that will yield your desired color and using it as infrequently as possible.
Herbatint & Naturetint are two permanent hair colors that use a smaller amount of hair dye chemicals in conjunction with natural ingredients. Both have fairly decent ratings at MakeupAlley.com (though each gets only a handful of reviews).

Here's a new article I found re: henna, which is supposed to be better for you than reg. box dye. It's a good read!
Google: Henna for Hair Warnings.
Google: Warning-- Clairol Natural Instincts dye recall

If youâre using Henna which says itâs going to turn your hair from black to blonde, then it seems like your using compound Henna, which is not 100% natural. Without getting too scientific, compound henna is when you mix the Lawson ia with a chemical like, metallic salts. The most commonly used ones are Copper, Lead acetate and Nickel. This can arguably damage your hair, leaving it dry, brittle and coarse.

IF A PRODUCT IS LABELED "ALL NATURAL" OR "ORGANIC," IT'S PROBABLY HYPOALLERGENIC.False
Remember, poison ivy is all natural, too! But you probably don't want it on your skin. It is very possible to have an allergic reaction, or other irritation, from products labeled "all natural" or "organic." For example, lanolin, from sheep's wool, is a common natural ingredient in some moisturizers that sometimes causes allergic reactions.

Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.

Google: Teen 'feared she would die' after reaction to hair dye
The allergic reaction was caused by a well-known brand of semi-permanent hair dye Chloe used to turn her hair black for a Halloweâen party. . . . . called for beauty bosses to ban hair dye chemical PPD (para-phenylenediamine) from the shelves. 11-04-11

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time.

Google: A 38-year old mother left in a coma after using hair dye. 11-22-11. SHE DYED HER HAIR MANY TIMES BEFORE, USING THE SAME BRAND.

Google Salon Hair Dye Lawsuits. About 336,000 results (0.17 seconds) Dec. 2011
When it comes to hair care treatments, product use or visits to a salon or spa, the consumer must take responsibility to do their homework and be aware of all the risks involved.

Any quick, natural remedies for making skin break out redness go away?

Lauren

My skin is breaking out, and I have to go to a wedding tomorrow!

Answer
I know you want a quick fix for your spot but to avoid future ones I reccomend proper nutrition. unfortunately a quick fix is rare and you just have to rely on concealor but pimples start from within as toxins are released through your skin and an unhealthy lifestyle will show on your face.

zinc, along with vitamin A, and tea tree oil (also ayurvedic therapies) as over-the-counter remedies available for treating acne.

Essential Vitamins for Skin Care in General

Vitamin A - the first property of vitamin A is its ability to stimulate growth.Examples of vitamin A enriched foods include citrus fruits, carrots, tomatoes, yellow squash, and pumpkin. Vitamin A can also be applied to the skin topically with creams to promote cell growth.

Vitamin B - The Office of Dietary Supplements at the National Institute of Health states that inflammation of the skin is one sign of B6 deficiency.

Vitamins C and E - The American Academy of Dermatology recommends daily oral dosages of vitamins C and E for healthy skin

zinc- A study conducted at Duke University provides evidence that Zinc is an important antioxidant supporting healthy skin.

I find Cetaphil is great but you can find a range of products for your skin and body on Vitacost and it is quite cheap too. As I buy my beauty products from there I have a link which will get you $10 off your first order which is cool!

http://www.vitacost.com/Referee?wlsrc=rsReferral&ReferralCode=3174410

You can search under your skin problem and will find the products you need and they have reviews to help you...check it out its worth it and good luck :)
QUICK FIX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a trick though for pimples that are just starting...rub ice on them, they go down. Then you can make an asprin mask (mix asprin into a paste and load it on the spot OR you can use Mud facial masks, they work a treat! Just leave it on aslong as you can it absorbs the oil out of the area. It really works :) Great make up application works wonders too...!!!

Mederma Skin Care?

Labels:

Q. Does anyone know how good this cream (Mederma Skin Care) works before i buy some for myself??

Thanks!!

Answer
Yes, it does work but you need to use it for quite a long time! My son split his forehead open in a football game which required a plastic surgeon to put everything back together. (Of course it was right in the center of his forehead),

She recommended Mederma but cautioned that it might take up to a year to work on the rather significant scar he had. It is now 3 years later and there is just a very thin light line. You would never know that the entire center of his forehead was split open that required hundreds of stitches, inside and out!

It isn't a quick solution but in the long run it is an effective one.

Good luck!

African American Skin, care. What can I use to tone and clear up my skin?

Tiger Lill

I have been going to dermatologist for six years and tried all of the products anyone can name. I went to my herbalist and he gave me something that will help me but its going to take a while. What can I use SPECIFICALLY FOR AFRICAN AMERICAN SKIN that will also be useful!?

Answer
Caring & treating skin, is not different being Afri-Amer. You'd do the same if you have Asian or white skin.
Sometimes just the oil on your face from make up and lotions, even from your hair can travel to your face causing acne to come out. Others, from stress, hormones & diet or foods.
The less products you use, the better for your skin and less product poisoning. Some skin and hair care products can cause acne. To help prevent and control acne flare-ups, take good care of your skin. For example, use a mild soap or cleanser to gently wash your face twice a day. Choose ânon-comedogenicâ make-up and hair care products. This means that they don't close up the pores. I use a bath wash like Suave, Irish Spring, Dove (for ex.) Bath & Body wash when I take a shower, with a washcloth. Treat your face like the rest of your body, take a shower everyday or wash your face everyday.

The secret is keeping your face clean and oil-free. I also don't use liquid on my face for anything, and very little moisturizer, not even a dime size. Since my face is not dry. Good skin also comes from your good genes. Increase your fresh fruits & vegetables 3-5 servings per day. And programmed your mind to do this day after day, for the rest of your life.

Acne medication could worsen what ever allergies you have, so instead of trying out one product after another, you're actually spreading it around.

The beauty industry is a billion dollar business, they know acne is everyone's problem, but instead of saying soap is drying for you, they have to invent an acne product that can worsen the skin as MANY TEENAGERS have experienced during hormonal change, but as you get older those are completely a waste of time & money!

Google: FIVE FOODS TO EAT FOR BEAUTIFUL SKIN
All the vitamins & minerals you need for good skin care comes from all the healthy foods you eat from Mother Nature.

Google Elizabeth Taylor when she's younger. She had THE best skin. Anyone can achieve that, even in their olden years, if they know how to care and protect their skin. Then you won't be needing so many products by the time you're in your 50's. Now Google Liz now that she's in her 80's. I've met many seniors at the center when I do volunteer work, in their 90's (mom for example) who've taken GOOD care of their skin, and they don't even look half that good as Liz.

Why did John McCain dump his wife after she was crippled in a car accident?

98% Pure C

Does that sound like "Character" and "Family Values" to you?
------------------
Ted Sampley, who fought with US Special Forces in Vietnam and is now a leading campaigner for veteransâ rights, said: âI have been following John McCainâs career for nearly 20 years. I know him personally. There is something wrong with this guy and let me tell you what it is â deceit.

âWhen he came home and saw that Carol was not the beauty he left behind, he started running around on her almost right away. Everybody around him knew it.

âEventually he met Cindy and she was young and beautiful and very wealthy. At that point McCain just dumped Carol for something he thought was better.

âThis is a guy who makes such a big deal about his character. He has no character. He is a fake. If there was any character in that first marriage, it all belonged to Carol.â

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1024927/The-wife-John-McCain-callously-left-behind.html

Answer
She wasn't the woman he left behind, the woman he had coveted while she was married to his friend. She ultimately didn't have the assets or power to launch his political career when he realized that his Navy career was going nowhere.

Plain and simple, he didn't want her anymore and he didn't have the character to try to make it work. He was OUT OF THERE as soon as he could rationalize it. Take a look at the timeline:

McCAIN, John Sidney, III

Born August 29, 1936 in Panama Canal Zone into career Navy family. He attends about 20 schools before he spending six years in Alexandria at two of the cityâs private all-boys schools. First at Saint Stephenâs, and then at Episcopal High School, a private prep boarding school in Alexandria, VA. Nicknamed âthe punkâ he prides himself as a tough guy, seemingly ready to fight at the drop of a hat. He does not excel academically and graduates in 1954.

1954-58 he attends the all-male US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The Naval Academy is designed to give the academic and professional training needed to be effective naval and marine officers upon assignment after graduation. While there, he has run-ins with higher-ups, is disinclined to obey every rule, and graduates 5th from the bottom of his class (894/899). His running total of at least 100 demerits keeps him a regular member of the Century Club. Upon graduation, he is commissioned an ensign.

From 1958-60 he spends two and a half years as a naval aviator in training at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida and the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in Texas. He earns a reputation as a party man, drives a Corvette, dates an exotic dancer named âMarie the Flame of Floridaâ, and spends all his free time on the beach or in a barracks room /turned bar and friendly gambling den. He would later say that he, âgenerally misused my good health and youthâ. He begins as a sub-par flier, with limited patience for studying aviation manuals. In 1960 he graduates from flight school and becomes a pilot of attack aircraft.

1960-early 64 served on the aircraft carriers USS Intrepid and USS Enterprise and is on duty on the Enterprise during the October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. In 1964, he is rotated back to shore duty, serving nine months on the staff of the Naval Air Basic Training Command at Pensacola. He then becomes a flight instructor at Naval Air Station Meridian in Mississippi.

During the 1964 stint at Pensacola, he begins a relationship with newly divorced Carol Shepp, a tall, slim, former model who he knew from Annapolis as the wife of one of his classmates. On July 3, 1965, he marries Shepp in Philadelphia, adopts her 2 children, and their daughter, Sidney, is born in September 1966.

In December 1966, slated for upcoming Vietnam duty, he reports to a squadron in Jacksonville, Florida for A-4 Skyhawk training. March 1967, he joins the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal, On July 25, 1967, Forrestal arrived in the Gulf of Tonkin, joining Operation Rolling Thunder, the 1965â1968 bombing campaign against North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. On July 29, 1967, while refueling to launch attacks, a Zuni rocket from an F-4 Phantom is accidentally fired across the carrierâs deck, striking either McCainâs A-4E Skyhawk or one near it, rupturing the Skyhawkâs fuel tank, which ignites the fuel and knocks two bombs loose. McCain escapes from his jet by climbing out the cockpit. The ensuing fire on board killed 134 sailors, injured scores of others, destroyed at least 20 aircraft, and took 24 hours to control. In Saigon the next day, McCain and told New York Times reporter R. W. Apple, Jr. that, âItâs a difficult thing to say. But now that Iâve seen what the bombs and the napalm did to the people on our ship, Iâm not so sure that I want to drop any more of that stuff on North Vietnamâ. With the Forrestal headed for repairs, McCain joins the Oriskany on September 30, 1967, for a tour he expected would finish early the next summer.

On October 26, 1967, while McCain is flying as part of a twenty-plane attack against a thermal power plant in central Hanoi, (a heavily defended target area that had almost always been off-limits to U.S. raids) McCainâs plane has its wing blown off by an anti-aircraft missile while pulling up after dropping its bombs. McCain fractures both arms and a leg while ejecting from his plane and nearly drowns after parachuting into Truc Bach Lake in Hanoi. He is taken prisoner and transported to Hanoiâs main Hoa Loa Prison, nicknamed the âHanoi Hiltonâ by American POWs. Although badly wounded, his captors refuse to give him medical care unless he gives them military information; they beat and interrogate him, but he only gives his name, rank, serial number, and date of birth. Only when the North Vietnamese discover that his father is a top admiral do they give him medical care and announce his capture. At this point, two days after his plane went down, his status as a POW makes the front pages of The New York Times and The Washington Post. Ultimately, under torture, he does break and gives up critical information on flight routes that result in a major loss of aircraft and lives. He is held as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam for five and a half years.

The Paris Peace Accords are signed on January 27, 1973, ending direct U.S. involvement in the war.

On March 14, 1973 McCain is finally released from captivity and is reunited with his wife Carol, who had suffered her own crippling, near-death ordeal during his captivity, due to an automobile accident in December 1969 that left her facing months of operations and physical therapy. By the time McCain sees her, she is four inches shorter, on crutches, and substantially heavier.

By St. Patricks day of 1973 he is back in Florida. He attends the National War College from 1973-1974, whose mission is to prepare future leaders of the Armed Forces, State Department, and other civilian agencies for high-level policy, command, and staff responsibilities.

By late 1974, after 9 months of physical therapy, he is recuperated to the point he is able regain his flight status.

In 1976 is named commanding officer of the Navyâs largest squadron, the Replacement Air Group in Jacksonville, Fla.

In 1977 he is assigned to the Navyâs Senate liaison office on Capitol Hill in Washington, where he remains until 1981.

By 1979 it is clear that he will not make admiral like his father and grandfather. Having always dreamed of doing something great, at age 42 he finds himself with a stuttering military career and no base from which to go into politics.

His personal life is a mess, and although he is still living with his wife, he is also aggressively courting the 25 year old Cindy Hensley, who he met in April 1979 at a party in Honolulu and is as beautiful as she is rich. Over the next six months, he pursues her aggressively, flying around the country to see her. He begins a push to end his marriage.

In late 1979 the McCainsâ separate. McCain files for and obtains an uncontested divorce in Florida on April 2, 1980. McCain and Hensley are married on May 17, 1980.

On April 1, 1981, McCain retires as a Captain from the Navy and is elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizonaâs 1st congressional district in 1982. He has a new wife, a new home state and a bright new political career.

For a candidate running on character and biography, it is an awkward time to remember. He abandons the wife who had reared their three children while he was a POW, herself gravely injured for 4+ of those years, and then begins his political career with the resources of his new wifeâs family.

Reelected to the Ninety-ninth Congress in 1984
Elected to the United States Senate in 1986
Reelected in 1992, 1998, and 2004 for the term ending January 3, 2011.
2008-Presumed Republican candidate for President of the United States.

This is not a man with a record that deserves any respect. I agree that he has no character either in his personal relationships or in his beliefs, which is obvious by his flip flopping on issues. He is a classic example of someone who has Daddy issues and is desperate to prove himself worthy. He didn't make Admiral but he could be President! Not that he really gives a rats ass about anything or anyone but himself. The guy is a classic narcissist, as is GWB. What is wrong with people that they are so ignorant of mental illness that they don't see who McCain is?

Why would conservative pro-lifers deny public health care for pregnant women?

Labels:

So then, we can be assured that the pro-life crowd will support public healthcare because it will help pregnant women?

Eh, I'm, still working on "why do alleged libertarians think they have the right to dictate what someone else does with their body?"

Property Rights begin at the skin

Do pregnant women still come across as sexy?

Inquisitiv

If so...how...Doesn't the belly kind of detract?

Answer
Of course. But when the behemoth whales get knocked up by some idiot sap then NO.
Many women take very good care of themselves before, during, and after. The health/weight of the mother will effect the development of the baby.
Fat people usually have fat kids which will lead to health problems in the future.
A woman naturally gains about 30 lbs (not always) during her pregnancy. She only needs 500 extra calories a day. When a woman says she's eating for two, she's misinformed or dense.
If she eats healthier, exercises, etc. she'll be attractive regardless.
Being pregnant is natural. The belly skin has to stretch and most women love it being rubbed, especially with lotion. It used to be taboo for women to show it. They were supposed to cover it and wear unflattering, long clothes. People even stared at pregnant women like they were freaks.
A woman is no less attractive if she is or isn't. If she starts letting herself go and sits on the couch as soon as she finds out she's 6 weeks pregnant then she's not gonna look to good.

Skin care and vitamins?

What skin care and vitamins should I be using? I'm a 30 yr old woman. Should I be using anti wrinkle creams and things for prevention?

Answer
It is never too early to start taking care of your skin.

First, you should get proper sleep every night, and try to sleep on your back.

Second, you should eat more fish, along with more vegetables and fruits. Nothing is worst for skin than greasy, fatty foods.

Third, keep your skin clean, but don't over wash it. Especially avoid tap water.

Finally, consider adding a few topical items to your skin care line. a good collaen cream, while not permanently getting rid of wrinkles, can smooth out your skin and prevent the wrinkles from forming deep creases. A good Vitamin C serum can als do wonders for the skin.
Here are a few good ones.

skin care?

Q. how do I get my skin look good and healthy? And prevent it from dryin.

Answer
1) Healthy skin come from good healthy eating habits, if you are not healthy, no matter what you do cosmetically you can't look fresh and young. So include lots of fruits in your diet. Drink fresh juices. Eat protein rich and calcium rich diet

2)Drink at least 10 glasses of water every day as it will take out the toxic materials and make it look smooth

3) Try to fallow 5+ diet. That means 5 hand fulls of fresh vegetables or fruits to your everyday diet.

4) Moisturize it twice a day

5) Scrub your skin once in a week as that will take out the dead cells. But don't forget to apply moisturizer after scrubbing

6) Give facial twice in a month. or at least apply face mask, you can make one at home by adding rose water and olive oil and a spoon of UN boiled milk. if you are buying face pack then add a E-vitamin capsule to it.

6) Don't forget to apply night cream or olive oil before going to bed( if possible take the night cream in a bowl and heat it apply when t is warm ,as that will get evaporated easily into your skin)

7) Add a spoon of olive oil to your bath

What order should I put my Olay Pro-X Skin care on?

Labels:

sing_your_

I recently bought the Olay Pro-X skin care (all 6) and I was just wondering if there was a certain order you were supposed to put the treatment(s) on?

Answer
The directions are under the directions tab on here:
http://www.drugstore.com/qxp208245_333181_sespider/olay_professional/pro_x_anti_aging_starter_protocol.htm

What are the ingredients?

Many beauty products on the market have harmful chemicals in them; do your favorite beauty products contain any of these things?:

* Mineral Oil, Paraffin & Petrolatum â Petroleum products coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatological issues, like slowing cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer & Disruptive of hormonal activity.

* PARABENS â Such as methyl- propyl- butyl- & ethyl- parabens: Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities â mimicking estrogen â and interfere with the bodyâs endocrine system.

* Phenol carbolic acid â Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

* Propylene glycol â Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, may inhibit skin cell growth, and is a skin irritant and sensitizer.

* Acrylamide â Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

* Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) â Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners⦠and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skinâs moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a ânitrosamineâ, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling âcomes from coconutâ or âcoconut-derived" - and is found in many popular body washes and toothpastes!

* Toluene â Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

* WAXES â Such as Paraffin, Candelilla Wax, Carnuba Wax: Waxes are widely used in cleansing creams, eye creams, and moisturizers. Waxes clog pores, creating blackheads and whiteheads. They also smother the skin, which over time creates an enlarged pore problem.

* Lanolin â A yellow, semi-solid, fatty secretion from sheepâs wool is widely used in skin and beauty care products. It can cause an allergic reaction in some people, as well as enlarged pores.

* Acetone â Used in nail polish and nail polish removers, this colorless, volatile liquid is often used in astringents, fresheners, or clarifying lotions. It is extremely toxic and will dehydrate the skin, while speeding up the aging process.

* ALCOHOLS â Such as Isopropyl Alcohol, SD Alcohol 40, Ethyl Alcohol: Alcohols dissolve the bodyâs natural moisturizers and strip the skin of its protection, leaving it vulnerable to infection. Alcohols destroy skinâs pH balance, and since they absorb water, they speed up wrinkling.

* FD&C â When this abbreviation precedes the name of a color, it means that the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has certified it as safe for use in drugs and cosmetics, but not food. D&C colors are usually synthetic, coal tar colors. Theyâre toxic and should be avoided when at all possible.

* Dioxane â Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin. Dioxaneâs carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by âvacuum strippingâ. Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as âcomes from coconutâ.

IF SO, you should throw them away IMMEDIATELY and Tell ALL your friends and family!!! (Extra-virgin olive and/or coconut oils are great alternative moisturizers, and they contain natural sunscreens, until you find something else without these toxins) Hope this helps!!! Good luck!!!!!

SKIN CARE ADDICTS! I need your help.?

danie

I'm looking for a night face cream, preferably a drugstore brand. I'd like one that is moisturizing and helps with skin discolorations/radiance. I don't care if it leaves my face greasy in the morning as long as it delivers. I'm using the Clinique Acne Solutions kit so I'd like a cream that won't interfere with the system (aka non-comedegenic, non-acnegenic, etc) if possible. Thank you so much!

Answer
First off, let me preface my response. IF your skin discoloration is severe, drugstore brand will have little to no effect and you need prescription-strength products or cosmetic procedures. IF you have mild skin-discoloration, you can get improvements overtime with drugstore brands.

There are a few well-formulated drugstore products that can treat skin discolorations. You can use them at nighttime or daytime. And the products don't necessarily have to be in a cream consistency, either. The crucial thing to remember is that you must wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the daytime if you want to maintain that radiance. UV-rays will negate all skin-lightening effects of your treatment products.

I recommend you go to Target or Walmart to shop for these products. Here are my recommendations:

1) Olay Professional Pro-X Even Skin Tone Spot Fading Treatment with Niacinamide, Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine, and Laminaria Saccharina Extract. This is the most expensive production.
2) Ambi Fade Cream, Oily with 2% hydroquinone. Hydroquinone is the gold-standard when it comes to treating skin-discoloration. It gets a lot of bad press online, but they are not based on true science. As long as you used it properly WITH daily religious use of sunscreen, you shouldn't have a problem. This is the cheapest product.
3) Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Night Moisturizer with retinol and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). Retinol promote cell turnover, so you get healthier and newer skin cells overtime. Vitamin C has skin-lightening properties. This is a moderately priced.

Have patience for 1-2 months, and you shall see improvements.

I'm 18 and I have a reddish facial skin. Yes, I do wash my face, (actually I do it twice in the morning and evening) and this is what I use (in no particular order):

(4) Nivea For Men Extra Soothing Moisturiser (daily)

I was wondering if the products I use are to blame (btw I had this problem before I started using them) or if it's because I'm not getting the right victims. Any advice would be helpful.

What are all of the health/beauty benefits of a steam room?

Labels:

Q.

Answer
During a 10-20 minute sauna session, your heart rate increases by 50-75%. This provides the same metabolic result as physical exercise. The increased cardiac load is the equivalent to a brisk walk. There is a nominal effect on blood pressure because the heat also causes blood vessels in skin to expand to accommodate increased blood flow.

Blood vessels become more flexible and there is increased circulation to the extremities. During a sauna, blood flow to the skin increases to as high as 50-70% of cardiac output (compared to the standard 5-10%). This brings nutrients to subcutaneous and surface tissue resulting in glowing healthy skin.

Steambaths and saunas induce sweating to provide a comprehensive cleansing of the skin and sweat glands. Skin is the largest organ in the body. 30% of body wastes are passed through the skin. Profuse sweating enhances the detoxifying capacity of the skin by opening pores and flushing impurities from the body.

When taking a sauna, skin temperature rises to 40°C (104°F) and internal body temperature rises to about 38°C (100.4°F). Exposure to the high heat creates an artificial fever state. Fever is part of the bodyâs natural healing process. Fever stimulates the immune system resulting in increased production of disease fighting white blood cells, antibodies and interferon (an anti viral protein with cancer fighting capability).

Spas and other such therapeutic facilities utilize saunas and steambaths in conjunction with massage to loosen fatty tissue and assist in the battle against cellulite.

Many regular steam and sauna users claim that a âgood sweatâ at the onset helps relieve and ward off the most severe symptoms of cold or flu.
Some of the other benefits associated with saunas and steambaths include:
Relief from the pain and stiffness of arthritis.

Steam is an excellent treatment for respiratory problems, such as; chest congestion, bronchitis, laryngitis and sinusitis.

Revives tired and strained muscles after physical exertion.

The cleansing effect of profuse perspiration helps provide healthy skin and a clear complexion.

Guys how do you define "beauty" in a girl?

Labels:

sweet kiss

I'm only talking about the physical here, although I know that inner beauty is very important as well, I'm just a girl who wants to know what makes a girl beautiful to guys minds.

Answer
a great adaptable personality great all around girl someone not scared to get her feet wet/dirty someone who loves sports or cooks good into nutritional health has a good mind set on what she wants in life very confident these are all good qualities i look for in a woman that to makes up her physical beauty of course a nice butt goes a long way to lol

What is beauty?

Q. in your eyes, what do you view as beautiful?

Answer
Beauty is confidence, contentedness, happiness, and love. Someone who is perfectly at ease with who they are, both physically and mentally; a person that loves and is loved by their family and friends is beautiful. Happiness and health give such a natural glow and radiance that it heightens someone's beauty. When you're in love, the corners of your mouth soften, the lines around your face wrinkle with all the smiles you give, your eyes speak volumes about your partner, and it gives you the confidence to be yourself because you've found someone else that finds you as wonderful as you do.

Confidence is also key because someone who can storm into an office, give a presentation, and sell themselves to their clients is not going to be frowned upon - that determination and motivation is instead envied and admired. Someone who loves themselves is obviously going to have a better demeanor and attitude, and it will be reflected in how people perceive them.

Beauty can be as simple as having symmetrical features, high cheek bones, doe eyes, long sumptuous lashes, and a pouty lip, but that kind of beauty always fades as time ages us, and it's the inner beauty that pulls us through and keeps us young and gorgeous all of our lives.

Answer
I recently went to a skin care person who told me most people just mess with their skin so much it can't stop breaking out. She said the less you mess with it the better your skin will be. She said it allows the skin to 'calm down' when you have a regular routine and don't keep bothering your skin.

I am a 50 year old woman with no wrinkles. I started taking care of my skin when I was 13 on the advise of a beauty consultant who came to our home-ec class to talk to us young girls (at the time) about beauty routines. I have passed this on to my daughter who is 14.5 and does not have acne problems. I am working with my niece who is 13 and does have acne problems. Her skin got better in about 5 days once we started this routine. She is exstatic!

Remember - this is all about routine - what you do everyday, and what your skin gets used to.

Use a mild soap with salasytic acid on your face and neck twice daily- morning and night. Neutragena has a great one that works like magic. It is a clear amber colored soap - I can't remember the name - sorry. It costs about $4 at Wal-Mart.

Two or three times a week use an exfoliant with salasytic acid in it (St Yives Medicated Apricot scrub is a good one) $4, also.

If your skin is oily, use a mild toner/astringent. Put it on a cotton ball and gently apply to face and neck. $5.

After that dries, dab on a light moisturizer made only for the face and put it on your neck area, too. Splurge here - you are worth it. Get a good moisturizer. I stick with Oil of Olay - about $15 or $20 - but it lasts a long time if you don't use too much.

Try to stay out of very harsh sun, or use a sunscreen.

Do not scrub your face hard or for long periods of time. Use warm not hot water. Keep your hands away from your face and no picking. Drink plenty of water. Try to stay away from fatty food, and food with lots of sugar in it. Colas are not good either. Get plenty of exercise outside in the fresh air. This stimulates circulation and will give you a healthy glow.

You should see your face calm down in just a few short days.

If over the counter remedies, and diet modification doesn't work, see a dermatologist. They are the best at helping people overcome problems like you describe.

I hope this helps you. I know it has helped my daughter and niece.

Does anyone know of a website where I can find uses for products like vinegar, baking soda, and other products?

Labels:

Cutie Pie

I'm looking for a book or a website that has any and all products that you can use for cleaning stuff at home or even for your own health and beauty. I know there is things for vinegar and baking soda. Please help

Answer
I don't know a specific website like you asked, but if you type into google or another search engine something like 'Make your own cleaning products' or 'how to make cleaning products' or even 'household uses for vinegar/ baking soda' something should come up. I think About.Com might have something too.

Although, I suppose you knew that already.

Can baking soda and water be used to cleans the face?

Nova

I have acne and I'm searching for a natural cleanser so I want to know

Answer
Hand and face wash: Make a mixture of three parts water to one part baking soda. Use this paste to scrub away stubborn hands stains like paint and grease or strong odors like fish and garlic. The same mixture can be used to naturally exfoliate and soften your face after washing away surface dirt with soap and water. For more sensitive skin, make the mixture four parts water to one part baking soda. Baking soda in the tub helps to relieve stress and soften skin. Add ¼- ½ cup to your bath. This is safe for most skin allergies and doesnât leave behind oily residue that many bath oils and detergents can. This excerpt is from http://ca.essortment.com/usesforbaking_rxys.htm

Pore Cleaner Exfoliate Mask
Mix baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and water into a paste and apply to your skin. Let dry on the skin then wash off with cool water. This excerpt is from http://www.drlera.com/health_beauty/skin/masks_lotions.htm

To loosen blackheads, combine equal parts baking soda and water in your hand and rub gently on your skin for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This excerpt is from http://www.allthatwomenwant.com/masks.htm

You can get more info from http://www.acne.org/rate_item.php?item_id=209

Third, keep your skin clean, but don't over wash it. Especially avoid tap water.

Finally, consider adding a few topical items to your skin care line. a good collaen cream, while not permanently getting rid of wrinkles, can smooth out your skin and prevent the wrinkles from forming deep creases. A good Vitamin C serum can als do wonders for the skin.
Here are a few good ones.

What skin care should a 30 year old woman be following?

tanjacrist

I'm almost 30 and I'm worried that I'm not doing as much for my skin as I should be. Especially my face. What type of cleansers and lotion should I be considering? Should I start wrinkle prevention now?

Answer
At the very least, use sunscreen on your face and neck. That's something you will regret later if you don't. Sun damage isn't pretty.
Your skin care routine should depend on your type of skin. Generally it consists of cleanser, eye cream, and moisturizer. I don't think toners make a difference really unless you have very oily skin.
At 30 you likely don't need much in the way of moisturizer but should be using something. What you need to know first is if your skin is oily, normal, combination, or dry and then get a set of products related to that skin type. It doesn't have to be expensive, drug store brands are fine.
Whatever you decide to use, don't forget to include your neck and under your chin.

how to care a fresh tongue piercing?

how to care for the piercing? and what are the pro's and con's for the tongue piercing?

Answer
After every time you eat and drink anything besides water, rinse your mouth out with Antiseptic mouth with and Crest Pro Health* It's good to rotate because Listerine [most common antiseptic mouth wash] Has alcohol in it and can dry out the wound. << Do that for the first month of the piercing.

Get H2Ocean, and spray it on the piercing 3-6 x a day. H2Ocean is AMAZING at healing
piercings, it's natural sea salt water and lysozyme in a spray bottle. And/or you could do SEA* salt water gargles. I have my tongue and tongue webbing pierced, I did the H2Ocean plus gargled with warm sea salt water Solution 1-2 x a day for the first month and my tongue healed right up.

NEVER use hydrogen peroxide! It eats away new skin formation and makes it harder for the piercing to heal. And it ruins tooth enamel. >>If you can, avoid rubbing alcohol as much as possible. I wouldn't use it at all, and I haven't for any of my 10 piercings. Sea salt is the best way and the fastest method to heal piercings.

Pros: It's very fun to play with. Out of all my 10 piercings my tongue is my favorite. There is many different barbells to choose from~

Cons: if you click your teeth with a surgical steel barbell with steel threaded balls it can break your teeth and you can bit on it and break your teeth. So, #1 tip asked to be pierced with a barbell that has ACRYLIC end threaded balls! Acrylic won't break your teeth or ruin the enamel. If the piercer insists on using steel threaded ball tops, right after replace the balls with acrylic ones. You can buy some new tongue barbells on ebay or even Walmart.

Some might think it would be a con, that yes tongue piercings are usually good for sexual purposes. I don't really care, I didn't get my tongue pierced for that. I know a lot of people might think I'm slutty or something, but I really don't care. I just love my piercing :)
Another con is that the first few days the swelling is HORRIBLE! It is vital you change the top balls to acrylic because YOU WILL bit on your new piercing. The length of the barbell is super long and when you chew food, the first 4 days it's really hard. The swelling is very painful but mine only lasted a few days and the piercings TOTALLy worth the pain! Suck on ice! It brings down the swelling and try to only eat soup or something. <3

After 2 weeks I had to change the bar because it was so long. Most common new sizes is 5/8'' in length, i have a thin tongue so I use 1/2'' for mine, that's the shortest. I'd buy 5/8'' first, if that's to long for you then get 1/2'' :)

Ebay has a great selection and great prices, here's some links:

5/8'' : http://cgi.ebay.com/14g-Glow-Dark-Acrylic-Tongue-Ring-Barbell-LOT-5-/350470153992?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5199a62708

1/2'' : http://cgi.ebay.com/4pcs-SHORTEST-14g-1-2-12mm-Tongue-Ring-Barbells-/280533480355?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41511933a3

H2Ocean: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150587510981&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT <-- I've ordered 4 bottles from that seller. If you put in $10 for ''make offer'' she'll go for that, :D that's how much I always buy for those. At Hot Topic, they sell $15 a bottle plus tax, so ebay is way cheaper.

Also, be sure to tighten your barbell everyday! make sure it's not to loose, you can end up swallowing it if it is. Because the human mouth gets a lot of spit it can loosen your barbell~

How to pick out a skin care routine?

Q. I'm in early teens, I have dry cheeks and oily forehead, nose, and acne prone chin! (Tzone) Anyways I prefer some skincare line that caters to my needs (which is being really picky i know:() Anyways my skin wasn't a problem until I started using Olay pro x acne system, It broke me out and made me feel dirty, greasy, and looking super shiny!!! It makes me sooooo mad, but I have to use it until its gone:(

Anyways I was thinking St. Ives but I'm not sure! If you could help me out I'd be sooo greatful:)

Answer
Hi!
You have to know that most of people have to deal with acne along their life.
Normally acne is a matter of hormone disorder. That's why you should have to think also in a diet to help you from inside out.
Start learning to drink water enough: 6-8 glasses a day.
Take care to include vitamins to enhance your acne skin care: vitamin A (from carrots and tomatoes), vitamin B (from meats and whole grains), vitamin C (in oranges and lemons), vitamin E (in almonds and vegetable oil) and zinc (from eggs and mushrooms).
You could also look for a more complex product including a herbal supplement like ClearPores: it works very well.
Just have a look:

South Africa?

Labels:

Q. With the recent xenophobic attacks, the disgustingthings that Robert Mugabe has done to his peple in Zimbabwe (which isn't actually in SA) and all the things that have been hurting South Africa's reputation - the head of police committing acts of crime, the ANC president being in court several times on charges of rape and the health minister stealing! I just want to know what you people think of South Africa? Because so many of my friends dont want to live here anymore and some are even leaving, and I would just love to get the thoughts of others from around the world on what they think about South Africa. Be honest, and please dont critise me about this question, I'm just a kid interested in what other people think of my Country!

Answer
My daughter has lived in Jo-burg for the last three years and has a degree from Wits. Before I visited a few months ago I couldn't put her in context. I knew that the crime rate, AIDS infections, and number of rapes were astronomical, but it didn't have much meaning for me. Now, since I have visited and have seen the "security" with which people try to protect themselves, the beauty of the land, the warmth of the people, I fear for her at the same time I admire her determination to make a career for herself. Her boyfriend told us plainly that one of the reasons he doesn't want to marry her or have a family is that then if anything really bad happens she can freely leave.

When we were there a family was shot and killed at home at 6ish in the evening--broad daylight as it was March--in a suburb a number of miles north from where we were, a place considered "safe." Nothing was taken.

I pray for leadership and the combined pressure from the outside world to bring some sanity and stability to the political situation and economy. I will probably go back and visit this coming summer, but this forum has made me more cautious than I was on the earlier visit. Things are always changing.

Answer
Stop using so many facial products! D: I have perfectly clear skin, am your age, and had my period for as long as you did..This is what I do =p
1. Go to a sauna at least once a week...it opens up your pores and you sweating gets all the crap that's in your pores. And a bonus, it leaves your skin looking dewy and soft=) If you don't have access, steam your face. =) Boil some water, pour it in a wide bowl, hold your face above it and cover with a towel so the steam doesn't escape...10-15 minutes..
2. Aveeno cleansers. Best thing in the world. ONLY chemical thing that I put on, and its still basically all natural. I use the positively radiant one. Wash morning and night. And don't just lather on once and wash off, do it twice...I don't believe the first time gets rid of everything.
3. Only use pure Vitamin E moisturizer or Aloe Vera..I use Aloe..use it after you cleanse. =)
4. Weekly, do a face mask...either with a raw egg yolk, or any fruit that matches your skin type and what you want to achieve...just type in google home made facial masks or home remedies..or anything else you can thing of that would direct you to websites. I found a few amazing ones that have all natural remedies for skin, hair, nails, etc. =)
5. NO TOUCHY!
6. NEVER WEAR FOUNDATION! I repeat! NEVER WEAR IT! It is the worst thing possible for acne..even if its FOR acne, its still terrible!!
7. Another thing..you might want to try using a GENTLE scrub once a week or so..maybe even once every two weeks.
8. Be gentle with it=) People in the old ages did not have all these chemicals and products, they only had natural ingredients. And they had amazing skin...the more you put on, the more your skin gets used to it, and it won't do its job of cleaning itself and retaining its natural moisture.
9. Skin a day or two with cleansing...just use water and Aloe=) This will keep it healthier in the long run, and like I said above, keep it from getting used to the chemicals...I noticed that when I did that, my skin was actually healthier looking and clearer than with washing every single day..
10. Basically, I follow almost the same thing that this woman does in the youtube video I'll post as one of the sources, but I don't use any facial products except those I wrote...that and the fact that I have to follow a strict acid reflux diet..look it up if you're interested. I noticed that it helped INCREDIBLY..it made my skin more glowing and healthy. =)
I could come up with alot more, but this is just off the top of my head...If you have any questions or want any advice on this, just e-mail me=)
