How to take care of a tattoo, busy schedule?

I love tattoos, I'm a scratcher in training from my friends mom (her ex taught her how to do tattoos) she recommends I wear shorts to take care of it fully but I work after school at McDonald's and we have to wear uniforms, I go to school at 7am, get out at 3, then get to work until 10 pm right after school. Could I cover it with anything to keep it saturated? I have a thigh piece but the color didn't stay on too well. I might go over it again soon. Any help? My tattoo on my wrist stayed on good since I don't wear long sleeved shirts.

Answer
You can cover it with saran wrap, which is what a lot of shops/artists do after you get a big color piece. Do not wear shorts! Especially if it's sunny where you live, the sun/heat will make the color fade and it won't heal the way you want it to. It's best to keep it covered, clean, and moisturized. When you get out of the shower, lotion up; make sure your skin/the area isn't dry.

Is it better to have never used skin care products in your life ?

Lilafay

Because my mother never used any products like scrubs, foaming wash, skin toners, moisturizing creams and her skin is beautiful

my skin is so so, not very uniform and and I'm wondering if should really bother with those products since I'm at a turing point in my life = 24, my skin is still youthful but will get older and older in the years to come, so what is the best thing to do for my skin ?

Answer
I believe it's down to luck and your genes, your mom is lucky she has kept her beautiful skin naturally.Certain products are not worth using because they have no beneficial affect, moisturisers&toners are good especially ones that have natural fruit extracts. To help your skin for sure is too stay out of the sun or at least use high protection, don't smoke and drink in moderation will help your skin and give the natural oils a chance.Try to smile more often it takes 4 muscles to smile and 17 to frown so less wrinkles.

My first sew-in, weavologists where you at?

DeusBendit

I'm going to spend my Christmas money on a new hair look, and i've decided on a sew in weave. Preferably an asymmetrical bob in a dark color with caramel highlights. Unless another color combo would look better?

How long is the process?
What's a good hair brand to use?
How do I take care of my real hair under the weave?
How do I get the most natural looking sew in?

Also any advice or tips are very appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

Answer
I suggest you find another way to spend that Christmas money. I do not recommend it.
HAIR WEAVES & BRAIDS: Some hairstyles, including tight braids and weaves, may increase the risk of developing an irreversible form of scarring hair loss, according to a new study in the Archives of Dermatology.
Seen predominately in African-American women, this type of hair loss, central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia, centers on the vertex (crown) of the scalp and spreads peripherally.
âAny style that causes too much tension and traction on the hair, such as braiding with artificial hair weaved in, can possibly lead to scarring hair loss,â says study author Angela Kyei, MD, a dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
In the study, 326 African-American women answered questionnaires about their hair-grooming methods, health status, and other demographic information. Dermatologists then performed a scalp examination to grade hair loss.
Nearly 60% of the women showed signs of advanced central hair loss with scarring. The women were also more likely to have type 2 diabetes and bacterial scalp infections, and sport hair styles associated with traction, including braids and weaves, the study showed.
âBut hair loss is permanent, meaning that we can inject steroids or creams but it won't bring your hair back, so itâs very important to seek help with dermatologists early on,â she says.

One example who just got a weave:
"okay , i got it done exactly a week ago . it was ripple deep curls . now , it's A MESS . no curls at ALL . and then i have school tomorrow , how can i fix it and make the curls come back ?"
Watch: Natural Hair Versus Relaxed Hair Debate Discussed On The Dr. Drew Life Changers Show

EXAMPLES OF WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT their HAIR EXTENSIONS

I have sewn in hair extensions. My natural hair is neck-length, and these extensions are down to my chest. They're sewn in (if you didn't already know) with black tracks, while the hair is my natural hair colour: brown. But I want to have it up in a high-ish ponytail. But, obviously, the tracks are really obvious. How can I make them less obvious?
I hate having to have my hair down all the time. I've always wanted it, but now I'm getting bored. :/

One more ex:
I removed my hair extensions yesterday after 4 months. My hair is really thin does any1 no any good products to thicken it?

And another ex:
i bought 100 dollars clip in 100% human hair extensions and it hurts and pulls my hair. u shud just wait til it grows out. my hair was real short and i wanted extensions real bad and now i feel bad wasting 100 bucks on that where i cud of spent it on clothes or sumother beauty thing. ur not going to wear them after a while cuz u get annoyed having to keep clipping them in and all or whateever kind of extensions ur getting.

Another extensions, hers cost $600:
I got the pure extensions on Thursday their the ones the get put in your using a little barrel and clamping it shut . My coworker put them in as kind of practice since were both new to it but now they are hurting me really bad I have thick hair so she put a lot of rows in and the back of my head is so sore ! I want to take them out but don't want to because I spent 600 dollars on them . Is this normal or did she maybe put them in rong ?

This one says it all:
i have had hair extensions done in a hairdressers in melton mowbray 3weeks ago. i have been told they are 100% real hair but they look terrible,it looks like i have been back-combing it. if i curl them it just goes frizzy and if i straighten them it also goes very frizzy with the back-coming look. i have bought all the products that was advised and i have looked after them the way i was told to. i have had hair extensions before and they were lovely, i had no problems. i have been back 2 times to the hairdressers for help and advise and i was told that the hair is rubbing on my shoulders which is giving the back-combing look (my shoulders are not that big). i am now asking for my money back and the hair taken out but they are refusing. i have spoke to the hairdressing federation and they told me to call trading standards, they said to get them tested but i do not know where to send them. thanks for any help.

what is a psychographic characteristic?

waterdevil

im doing a marketing project, and she wants me to list and explain 1 pyschographic characteristic as it relates to your product and target market? my product is a finding nemo shaped cookie and you can decorate it. my target market is boys from ages 5 to 12 with parents who make an average income?

please help?

Answer
psychographics

Criteria for segmenting consumers by lifestyle, attitudes, beliefs, values, personality, buying motives, and/or extent of product usage. Psychographic analyses are used like geographic (place of residence or work) and demographic (age, income, occupation) criteria to describe and identify customers and prospective customers and to aid in developing promotion strategies designed to appeal to specific psychographic segments of the market for a product. For example, the market for shampoo may consist of various psychographic segments described by their primary purchase motives (beauty, health, grooming), usage styles (daily, weekly, salon-only), or lifestyle (frequent travelers, parents with young children, empty-nesters).

The psychographic characteristics of the market affect not only advertising copy but also packaging (travel size, child-proof, decorator pump) and channels of distribution (supermarkets, pharmacies, specialty stores).

Psychographic data can be gathered firsthand through personal interviews, focus group interviews or questionnaires, or purchased from research companies in the form of list overlays for direct marketers or market profiles for general marketers.

whats the proper way to use olive oil on your hair?

i bought some today and was told that it would help with damage hair and help it grow some, but what is the proper way to use it. do i wash my hair then use it. do i just damp my hair and then wash afterword?

Answer
Olive oils is good for helping to repair damaged hair and keeping it healthy. Hot oil treatments with olive oil is great and I used to do them several months ago about 2-3 times a week and saw major improvement in my hair. Just keep in mind that if your damage is permanent then nothing can reverse that except a hair cut.

I use to do my hot oils as a pre-shampoo treatment. You can warm the oil in a microwave (warm, not hot) and massage it in your hair for about 5 minutes; massaging opens our pores and causes blood circulation. After massaging it in your can then rinse for a couple of minutes and then shampoo your hair. Oil is hard to get out so you might have to shampoo a few times. You can add a little bit of baking soda to your shampoo and this will act like a clarifier to get out all the dirt and particles that's hard to get out.

You can also warm the oil and put it in your hair for several minutes/hours. Buy a processing/conditioner cap at a beauty supply store like Sally's - the kind they use in hair salons - and put this over your hair and leave in the oils for several minutes or hours (if you have dry hair then you can leave it in longer), and then rinse and shampoo.

If you have a dry hair type then you needn't worry about the oil making your hair greasy or too oily. If not then you might want to make sure you get out all the oil. One of the reasons I stopped doing hot oils was because it became time-consuming and the oil was hard to get out.

You can also buy pure, organic, or virgin coconut oil and use them for hot oil treatments. The way I use coconut oil is to put it in my hair at night (I have a dry hair type) and rinse it out in the morning and I notice my hair is shinier and not as dry as it usually is. Or, you can put a little bit in your hair and take a shower and rinse your hair in the process and you'll notice shinier hair; this process will also make your hair healthier.

Whatever you do just make sure you give it time to work and don't expect immediate results. I noticed major results the first time I did a hot oil with olive oil, but my hair is in pretty good health. If your hair is damaged then it might take some time before you start noticing changes. Also, I've done hot oils on dry and damp hair, so try each way and decide which works better for your hair.

Good luck.

I am a landlord who is having a tough time getting rid of cigarette odor. Please help!! I already washed walls and blinds. It's warm so no need to change heater filter as it's not in use. Washed floors (wood not carpet). What else? SHould I spray a bunch of febreeze?

Answer
-----Baking soda is a very effective cleaning agent. Cover pieces of furniture with baking soda by patting and rubbing it into the fabric. Leave it there overnight, then vacuum the furniture in the morning. You'll notice that the smell is greatly reduced or not there anymore. Throw them away: There are cases where goo has thoroughly penetrated the fabric of all the pieces of furniture, so that no amount of steam cleaning or baking soda can remove the bad odor. In this case, the only sensible thing to do is to get rid of the furniture. You may, of course, reupholster your furniture but that is not an easy task. If you want to get rid of the smell immediately, throw away the furniture or sell it to another smoker

-----Cigarette smoke can condense into a goo-like substance that gets stuck in fabrics around your house. This goo-like substance is made of oil and tar ash deposits and is stubborn. It's hard to scrape off this goo when it's stuck on glasses and walls. Getting rid of this goo even becomes more impossible when it's stuck in all the fibers of pieces of furniture in your house. In this case, the easiest and most practical way to get rid of these deposits is to hire professional house cleaners. They should have a steam cleaner that can be mounted to a van to clean these tough deposits. Tell them exactly which pieces of furniture you want cleaned, so they can use the right techniques and tools.
you're doubtful about the effectiveness of commercial deodorizers, try making your own cleaning formula to use on your carpets. First, fill a large container with baking soda. Next, add a few drops of essential oils and mix the solution well. Experts recommend using lavender in making your formula, but it's up to you to decide which fragrance you like best. Sprinkle your homemade formula over all your carpets, then leave it there for about four hours. Vacuum your carpets once the formula has dried and repeat then process as often as necessary.

-----Wipe your walls with vinegar: Like baking soda, vinegar is an amazing cleaning agent. To clean the walls of your house, first, mix one cup of vinegar for every two cups of water. Add a tablespoon of baking soda to the mixture, making it fizz because of the chemical reaction. Soak a brush or a sponge into the mixture and wipe your ceilings and walls with it. The great thing about this homemade cleaning agent is that it cleans your walls without damaging the paint. For best results, use a commercial washer containing vinegar to wash your windows. You can usually purchase this product from organic grocery stores.

------Cigarette smell is not only the problem in your house if you've been smoking in it for a very long time. Brown and yellow goo would be stuck on your walls, windows and pieces of furniture, making your house very unattractive. One way to restore the former fragrance and beauty of your house is to just repaint it. Paint should thoroughly cover the goo from cigarette smoke for the bad odor to go away. Stop smoking: It's a no-brainer but it is the most effective way to ensure that your house will never smell like cigarette smoke ever again. Stop smoking inside your house to prevent cigarette smoke from condensing on your walls and furniture. Of course, it's best to stop smoking inside and outside your house to also improve your health. Don't hesitate to call professionals if you think all your efforts are not having any effect on the bad odor of your house. You may need to have your house cleaned several times before the cigarette smell completely goes away.

The Gladia

European colonialization and imperialism has undoubtly been one of the worst thing for the development of human kind. The main objective of colonialization was to establish a master- slave relationship that would lead to a forced respect. Using this stategy, the used the word "civilized" to refer only to their way of life and told their victims that their language was better, their education superior, their way of life beter, and their skin color desirable. Kingdomsthat had reached incredible levels of knowledge were dumbed down to their oppressors ignorance.

Answer
In part, yes.

Africa was decolonized much later after East Asia and Latin America were, for instance. The African nations need time to catch up.

But also, the corruption in African countries are the worst in the world.
The elites are billionaires, but the vast majority of the populace gets zero investment in education, health care, or even potable water.

I need ideas, I have to do a 10 minute powerpoint on the topic of "Money in Medicine" any ideas?

Here it is:

Illusions of Happiness

We beings
can find happiness
in various places.

Some find it in wealth,
through expansive amounts
of money.

Some find it in power,
through the ability to
rule others,
and force them to do
their bidding.

Some find it in fame,
through othersâ adoration
and devotion to them.

Some find it in beauty,
through health and
lovely physical appearance.

Although sometimes,
happiness, just like everything
else in the Universe,
is not but an illusion.

A simple illusion which
deceits most of us.

For greed snares opportunities
at pure happiness:

it forces our desire
for wealth, power, fame, and beauty
to escalate,
and twists it like a washrag.

Wealth conquers contentment,
and molds it into extensive lust.

And even when we are
satisfied,
greed deceives us,
and makes us unhappy,
until our sanity
is snuffed out.

Power becomes overwhelming,
and takes control of our
senses and awareness.

It is then that foolishness
forces us to become ignorant.

Fame is similar to power.
Power is similar to fame.
Either is obtained when
one is possessed.
And the consequences of fame
is equal to that of power.

And what does physical appearance
bring us?
Compliments? Smiles? Othersâ devotion to
look like you?

These things will force you
to strive for
more, and more, and more,
until you destroy yourself
in your epic quest for
joy,
which was just an illusion.

Which of these best suits
you, dear friend?
Wealth, power, fame, or beauty?
Why not seek true happiness?

Look past the magicianâs cunning tricks,
and search for happiness
that can only be found within
yourself and others.

True happiness
can be found by giving
elation to others.
To drop a quarter in a donation box,
to participate in a Walk for
Cancer, or Hunger, or other struggles.

But are these obstacles illusions as well?
Can someone who is starving,
or is pained by a disease
find true happiness also?

Anyone can find true pleasure,
but only if they wander
down the correct path.

Sometimes simple things are
where pure happiness is
found.

Like sitting âround a
crackling, welcoming fire,
surrounded by
brothers, sisters,
aunts, uncles,
grandmas, grandpas,
cousins,
mothers, and fathers.

Or a simple stroll down
a beach in the evening,
as the setting sun casts the clouds into
amalgamates of
orange, yellow, pink, and purple,
with the rippling waves
tickling your toes.

So I leave you with this
vague question:
Where will you find happiness?

Will you find it in
wealth,
power,
fame,
or appearance?

Or will you choose happiness through
bliss in unfortunate others,
family and friends,
or tranquil sanctuaries?

As said,
happiness is sometimes
an illusion,
and only the wise can truly
find inner bliss,
and elude the Illusions of Happiness.

Answer
That's really nice. It reminds me of the warm happy feelings I got when I worked at the nursing home, and I was a bright spot in their lives. Helping those in need really give the feeling of happiness.

Second guessing my decision to go to cosmetology school?

Labels:

Lets Be Re

I have had my mind set on cosmetology school since 5th grade. I'm always watching youtube videos on hair and makeup, always on Pinterest, always trying to keep up with the latest styles ect.

I'm second guessing myself because I am a pretty shy person.. also I have really bad anxiety.

any advice?

Answer
Perhaps you're referring to having some social anxiety (?) The licensed cosmetologist does need to interact with the public and should be intent on keeping a clientele of "repeat customers".

Just an fyi that it may take a cosmetologist a couple of years to "get a book" (of regular customers) before *possibly* making decent money.

Perhaps you can get a part-time job as a receptionist in a beauty salon, and find out if you feel comfortable in that type of environment. However, please be aware that even the receptionists may have some level of stress as the hairstylists (and/or nail technicians/make-up artists) may be particular about their scheduling (as per my cousin who worked as a hair stylist :)

I'm very sensitive to various scents and chemicals, so working at a hair salon is unrealistic for me (not to mention that I have neck and back problems and anxiety disorder/s, too).

If you're still interested in training (for any field), please do *avoid* those private For-profit schools and instead consider the more affordable (and usually more reputable) community college or even the county vo-tech school (or the state-public university) as long as the program is approved by the State board of cosmetology.

For general career info: http://www.bls.gov/ooh and can search.

U.S. colleges: http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ

With regard to the anxiety, please also consider making an appointment with a licensed therapist such as a licensed mental health counselor, licensed-clinical social worker (LCSW) or clinical psychologist (PhD or PsyD). Both the LCSW and doctoral-level psychologist may administer cognitive-behavioral therapy (cbt) which can be very helpful for both anxiety and depression (or other mental health issues).

This government site may have some local counseling agencies: http://findtreatment.samhsa.gov/ and can click the second link and go on from that point. Their toll-free 24/7 *referral* hotline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357).

For more general info re: anxiety and depression (though *not* for self-diagnosis or self-treatment): http://www.adaa.org/ Perhaps there is a local support group for those with anxiety and/or depression (however, please do *not* give out last names as to be anonymous since the group members may have other "issues" - and it's not always so apparent at first :)

How do I bleach my skin with hydrogen Peroxide?

Dana

I want paper white skin for the "Goth"look look. Please, no Michael Jackson jokes or health warnings.

Answer
What the person above said! You can also use exfoliating salt-scrubs too. They help keep you pale, and it's actually good for your skin too.

Here's a recipe to bleach your skin with out causing harm.

DIY skin bleach
(Don't be afraid - this recipe contains all-natural ingredients and is actually very good for your skin, as well as serving to enhance one's pallor.)

You need:
a couple of lemon slices
a cup of milk
yogurt (preferably natural and unflavored)
flower water (optional. Rose water and orange blossom water are available from most supermarkets and health stores)

Soak the lemon slices in the milk for a couple of hours. Strain out the lemon and add the yogurt to thicken. Test the mixture on an area of skin (NOT your face) first, as the astringent action of lemon in particular can be too harsh for sensitive skin. If you feel excess burning or itching, rinse the mixture off at once.

If you suffer no ill effects, apply this cream to your face and body for a few hours so that the bleaching action has time to take effect. For a less fussy version of this recipe, pop some lemon juice in a glass of milk overnight and rinse your face with it in the morning, or add a cup of milk and a squirt of lemon juice to your bath. This is useful to help fend off the effects of the summer sun.

Tan remover
You need:
1/2 pint new milk
1/2 oz. lemon juice
1/2 oz. white brandy

Mix the ingredients together and bring to the boil, then skim. The resulting concoction should be applied to the desired areas each morning until the desired result is achieved. (Again, do not forget to test this mixture - and all mixtures on this page! - on a patch of skin to make sure you are not allergic.)

How do i get these whites spots on my shoulder blades completely tanned?

Audrey90

I always seem to get these two white spots where my skin isnt tanning on the back of my shoulder blades. How do i get these spots to tan completely and not have these emberassing white marks where it didnt tan completey to tan?

Answer
These small white spots might be a sign of skin damage, especially if they won't tan. Sun damage is a lot like scar tissue so it will never tan. You could see a doctor or dermotoligist to double check.

How long until Proactiv works on back/shoulder acne?

snowqueen_

I bought the Proactiv for my boyfriend and its been about a week. He's VERY impatient in waiting for results and am just wondering if you've used it for the same area how long it took to see results. It seems to be smoother but now bigger ones are coming in, has it irritated anybody's skin or made it worse?

Also will the mask work on the back or is it just for the face?

Answer
Well i personally don't care for Proactiv, i've tried it before and it irriated and dried my skin out. I switched to Murad Products they are very good, and they also work on the back as well. You can visit their site at www.murad.com or you can have your boyfriend go to a dermatologist. Have the doctor to prescibe some medication orally and it will clear up his skin from the inside out, it worked for my exboyfriend whose back was covered it zits. Within a couple of months his whole back was completely cleared up.

Im 19 years old, i know im not gonna get wrinkles any time soon but I want to take care of my skin as much as I can. I currently don't have any kind of routine... just splash my face with water and apply regular lotion. Anyways is it really important to have a good routine? what should i buy? what brands are good? I have normal/dry skin and i don't want to spend more the $50.

Answer
First of all I would tell you to only buy from high quality companies. You don't have to pay a lot but you get bettter service and better products.

I personally only use Arbonne Products. I get 35% off of my product orders and the products are great. I use a Acne Wash that I use about 3 times a week, and then a regular cleanser, then I use a Night and Eye Creme every night.

How I look at it is if I take care of my skin now at age 20 then at age 40 I will look like I am only 30 because I will have no wrinkles and nice skin.

Miss America controversy is confused about what racism is?

YahooDeana

Many confuse White and Caucasian with light skin and eyes.
But those from Italy to Iran to India are White Caucasian. It does not relate to skin color but a geographic area of the world and physical characteristics.
That's why scientists can determine what race a 50,000 year old skull is.

Hispanic is also White Caucasian but has been confused because they are a minority regarding government employment. Women of any color are also a "minority" so "minority" does not mean race. Anyway, many are confused and just thought I'd clarify .

So for those who think Miss America is suffering from racism from Whites, she can't be since she's White as well.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caucasian_race
Seems everyone missed my point. I agree race and skin color doesn't matter.
I'm just addressing those who think Arabs and those from India are a different race.
oh well - I tried.

Answer
who cares what race she is. she is beautiful and people need to calm down. even though i thin beauty pageants are dumb anyways

Danielle

I have sensitive skin and I have mild acne but I break out really bad. I don't wear any foundation or concealer on my face so that wouldn't be a reason for it.

Answer
There's none, really.

If you want to treat and keep acne under control, then you'll need to understand its causes. The main problem is the combination of sebum, irregular shedding of dead skin cells, and the propionibacterium acnes. The bacteria feeds off the sebum and proliferate. The oil sticks to the dead skin cells and form a clog. And there you have it, zits.

I wouldn't recommend makeup, either, can that just covers up the problem, not treat it.

The main issues with homemade masks are freshness, purity, allergens, stability, to list a few. Lemon and lime have components that can exfoliate and kill bacteria, but the citrus fruits also contain sensitizing chemicals. Do you want to put that on sensitive skin? No. Avocado and olive oil sounds wonderful, but their fatty content are best for dry skin, not oily/acne prone. Cucumber won't do anything. Move on.

Do your skin a favor and go to the pharmacy and buy the right products for your skin type.

A combination approach to skin care thatâs tailored to your specific skin type is the most effective method against acne. If youâre unsure of your complete skin type, then take the questionnaire created by world-renowned cosmetic dermatologist and clinical researcher, Dr. Leslie Baumann. Register first then take the quiz to determine your Baumann Skin Type.

How to achieve silky soft and smooth skin?

Bella

I have little tiny blemishes and bumps on my skin, and some dry (others rough) patches here and there. How do I get the bumps flat, rid of the blemishes, and the dry patches? And make my skin visibly softer and smoother?

Answer
Regardless of sex, melanin content, age, gender, weather, mood, time, or location of acne breakouts, the treatment protocol for acne is the same.

In short, acne is caused by a combination of factors including bacteria, sebum, and dead skin cells. Bacteria feed off sebum, which produce inflammatory by-products. Sebum and dead skin cells stick together and form clogs.

When it comes to selecting your cosmetic or skin care products, you should base your selection primarily on your SKIN TYPE. There are 16 different skin types! If you are unsure of your complete skin type, then take the questionnaire developed by world-renown clinical researcher, board-certified dermatologist, and author of the book, âThe Skin Type Solutionâ, Dr. Leslie Baumann. Register first then take the quiz. Afterward, visit the specified forum that is tailored to your unique Baumann skin type for product recommendations and discussions about your skin concerns, in particular, acne.

In order to TREAT and CONTROL acne, you will need well-designed routine:

1)A well-formulated water-soluble cleanser to remove oil, dirt, dead skin cells, and makeup.
2)A well-formulated, pH-adjusted, beta-hydroxy acid exfoliant with salicylic acid in 1-2% concentration to reduce inflammation, kill bacteria, and exfoliate on top of skin and within the pore lining to unclog any plug. If you are allergic to salicylic acid (or aspirin), then your alternative can be an alpha-hydroxy acid such as glycolic acid or mandelic acid.
3)A well-formulated benzoyl peroxide medication in 2.5-10% concentration to kill acne bacteria. The lower the concentration the lower the risk of side effects including dryness, peeling, redness, stinging, etc.
4)A well-formulated, matte-finish, and lightweight sunscreen with SPF 15 or greater to protect your skin from UV-inflammation, which can exacerbate acne, as well as prevent skin cancer. It is imperative to reapply after swimming, excessive perspiration, or every 2 hours for optimal photoprotection, especially in the sun.

NOTE: a well-formulated product usually contains low fragrance or is free of fragrance and dyes.

Results can take up to a few weeks to 1-2 months with diligence, compliance, and patience. If this conservative routine is ineffective, then you should consult with a board-certified dermatologist for a topical prescription and/or in-office light/laser therapies. The last resort for acne is isotretinoin (formerly known as Accutane).

I need to find good quality skin care products?

Amelia as

I need help i need to find a great an amazing skin care 3 step product for morning and night, Any suggestions please reply.
I also need a hydrate skin lotion that gets rid of oily skin...
I would also need a good quality lotion, I also need a suggestion of a good quality shampoo and conditioner and chopstick (Lip balm).

Answer
I would recommended clinique's "3-Step" Skin care. There are 3 products you use morning and night everyday, and i love them. Plus, i would suggest using clinique's "Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer Oil-Free" if you are trying to get rid of acne. But if you just have oily skin you should try "Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum." But if you still want to moisturize, use "Eucerin Everyday Protection Face Lotion with SPF 30." This will moisturize your skin and protect it from the sun, while it is not greasy either. For your hair, any Paul Mitchell shampoo would be a good choice, but it depends on your hair. If you want a hydrating shampoo, try any in the Tea Tree collection. If you're looking for something else, visit their website and browse through the products. There are shampoos for more body, smoothing your hair, and a lot more. It would be a good idea to get the matching conditioner to whatever shampoo you choose. And finally, go for a Burt's Bees chapstick along with any of clinique's lip glosses. Hope I helped! :)

How to quickly strip a bad dye job?

skin care reviews 2013 image

betty

So my hair is naturally a very very light brown, and it had a few highlights in it. I went to a very expensive salon and asked the stylist to darken it one shade, and for it not to be too noticeable. She practically dyed my hair black, and it doesn't look good with my skin or eyes at all. I absolutely loathe it, and want it out as soon as possible. I would really prefer to avoid going back to the salon to spend more money to get it fixed, and I'd also like to avoid further damage to my hair.
I desperately want to go back to either my natural color or a few shades lighter. I've tried washing my hair with Dawn dish soap and leaving it on, and I've tried several washes with Ion clarifying shampoo. Neither have seemed to strip away any color.
Is there anything else/any other products I can buy that would strip the color and take it back to my natural color or a lighter shade?
Any advice?
Thank you very much!

Answer
Bad Hair Habit: Stripng Out Hair Dye
Smart hair care includes what not to do. If you have a change of heart after you dye your hair a dark shade, stripng out the color will open the cuticle so much that it won't lie as flat as before, says Kim Steckbeck, master stylist at Studio 21 hair salon in Woodstock, Ga. The result is hair damage with dry, brittle, frizzy tresses. "Black is the hardest to remove," she says. "It typically must be done with bleach. This leaves unwanted tones in the hair. Then, you must recolor to a desirable shade. This is very stressful on the hair."

You can also use anti-dandruff shampoo, just not the conditioner.

Here's an example what hair stripng will do to your hair.

It is worst than hair dyes, one from YA! "I accidentally dyed my hair this awful black, stripped it, and now it is this crunchy crispy mess!"

Hair striprs are chemical treatments which are intended to strip out artificial color pigment with less risk or damage to the hair. The chemicals used are called reducing agents.
Certain 'metal' striprs containing sodium sulphoites are sold for reducing hair dyed with metallic dyes, as these dyes react violently with tint stripper containing hydrogen peroxide-the subsequent reaction may cause so much heat that the hair gets dissolved.

Before bottled shampoo & hair products were invented, mid 60's, in Asia, all we've ever used was a bar of soap for body, hair & laundry, for 13 years and we have healthy silky, shiny, soft, smooth hair. Just make sure you rinse well. Try that if that works better!

Google Salon Hair Dye Lawsuits. AboutAbout 91,800 results (0.23 seconds) 2-3-13.
When it comes to hair care treatments, product use or visits to a salon or spa, the consumer must take responsibility to do their homework and be aware of all the risks involved.

I'd go to YELP & write a negative review on the salon!

Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.
> > > Hair dye chemicals linked to cancer
London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 36 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <

Google Salon Hair Dye Lawsuits. About 336,000 results (0.17 seconds) Dec. 2011
When it comes to hair care treatments, product use or visits to a salon or spa, the consumer must take responsibility to do their homework and be aware of all the risks involved.

Style meets chemistry meets biology: We're talking hair coloring.

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.

Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.

Google: Teen 'feared she would die' after reaction to hair dye
The allergic reaction was caused by a well-known brand of semi-permanent hair dye Chloe used to turn her hair black for a Halloweâen party. . . . . called for beauty bosses to ban hair dye chemical PPD (para-phenylenediamine) from the shelves. 11-04-11

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time. Skin specialist Najjia Ashraf reveals that there are barely any dyes that donât contain this toxin; even the ones who claim they donât, are not being honest. âBig brands often escape the

How do I sell a product?

Q. I've created a skin care product and I would really like to sell it to a company or small store. How do I go about doing this?

Answer
It will be tough to sell it at any scale until you can find a distributor who is excited about it. You have no brand name now, so you will be at a disadvantage, and seeing if a brand is interested is another option. Consult your attorney about protection from the creeps who will prey on you if you are not careful.

How do you care for a sheepskin rug, how do you get the fur to hand in the little curly chucks like when new?

D. S

The sheep skin is old and I got it second hand it looks like it has been brushed and I want it to have the defined curls that they have when new. Any advice?

Answer
Hum... remember it is a pelt, so if should be treated and cleaned like you would clean any living animal fur...

I don't know if it is too late to get it like it was originally. Try contacting a fur distributor or someone licensed to clean fur items in your area

Would moving to Canada be very different from the USA?

Im worried about transition. Like money, lifestyle all that. Is it very different from the USA or just small adjustments?

Answer
"Is it very different from the USA or just small adjustments?"

hmmm...
Small adjustments on one hand and like night and day adjustements on the other.

On the surface seems pretty similar.
Dollars and cents with a pretty much on par exchange rate, both speak English with sort of kind of the same moral views.
But look deeper past the superficial and it's a whole different culture.

Lifestyle:

Same sex marriage is now legal in the USA.
In Canada it's been that way for awhile... nobody cares who you do and it's quite the inane thing to measure a human being by.
Skin tone and religion also, nobody notices or cares what colour you are or which God or Prophet you worship. You're allowed to be who you want to be - no moral judgements.

The same assault rifle used in the Colorado theatre shootings is available in Canada. True we do have gun control but the thing Americans don't get is it's as much to do with a culture's self-control as it is about weaponry.
I couldn't even imagine leaving armed schools as a legacy for my children and if teachers needed weapons to protect my own kids from my own neighbors.. well suffice to say that wouldn't fly here. There would be no larger red flag that could be waved.

Queen Elizabeth II is the Queen of Canada, a Canadian citizen... our Head of State. Many think that means there is some attachment to Britain. No disrespect to the USA but they don't have a clue about their neighbor, never really have. Example, The War of 1812 when the USA thought if they invaded we'd all rebel against British rule so we could become a US State.
That's kind of humourous up here. Unlike The 13 Colonies:

"several other self-governing colonies of the British Empire were considered dominions equal in status to Canada. Only one other country actually used the title 'Dominion ofâ¦' in its full name however; the Dominion of New Zealand. The British used 'dominion' in a generic context to refer to any colony that was more or less self-governing. After the passage of the Statute of Westminster in 1931 the definition of dominion became lot more precise, with the British drawing a clear line of separation between what was a "dominion" and what was a "colony." From henceforth, a "dominion" was declared to be an independent country..."

What is Canada like in comparison to the United States?

Hillie

I got offered a job in Toronto, higher-paying than my job here in New Jersey. I don't know if I should take it. My kids are age 2 and 4, so they wouldn't mind so much. My husband doesn't know what Canada is like. I don't either. Is Canada like the United States? Are the people friendly? Is the economy/currency strong? Are the American culture and the Canadian culture much different, because my kids will be brought up Canadian, not American. Does everyone speak English? Is it mostly bilingual? How is the university system? Is Canada better than the United States?

Answer
"My husband doesn't know what Canada is like. I don't either. Is Canada like the United States?"

We have some of the same TV shows.
I'm trying to think of other similarities but am coming up lacking.

Canada is where United Empire Loyalists came escaping persecution in the USA.
And blacks seeking to escape slavery and head hunters, seeking freedom instead.
And Native Americans fleeing the effects of Manifest Destiny and Indian Wars.
No Canadian fight for Independence; no need to fight for what one already has.
etc etc... the differences in cultures and societies are HUGE.

The same assault rifle used in the Colorado theatre shootings is available for sale in Canada.
You see gun control is as much to do with a culture's self control... I don't fear my government has a sinister indent, or any foreign country, or even my own citizens to the point I need to arm myself.
Armed schools, harsh legacy to leave one's own children.
Gated communities?
Texas outlawing abortion? [i'm hardly a fan but shouldn't the choice at least, exist]
Gay marriage has been legal here for awhile.
I don't care about skin tone, or what God or Prophet someone chooses to worship, or what gender they are or who they do.
Makes me wonder who really has personal freedoms and who doesn't - to be honest.

What are the steps to be a successful cosmetologist?

Pattie Pat

I really want to be a cosmetologist, and a successful one. My Grandpa & my aunt are cosmetologist. They are trying to talk me out of it. I just want to be VERY successful.

Answer
Cosmetologists are beauty professionals who provide hair care and hair styling services to customers. They may shampoo, color, cut and style hair. In addition, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, or BLS, notes that some cosmetologists provide makeup analysis or nail care services. To qualify for employment, cosmetologists complete postsecondary training and, in some states, they must be licensed.

Education
Most states will require aspiring cosmetologists to attend a licensed cosmetology school. Programs are available at some high schools, as well as at public and private vocational schools, notes the BLS. A full-time cosmetology program, such as the one offered by Regency Beauty Institute, can be completed in as little as seven months in some states. Cosmetology students learn about hair cutting and coloring, nail and skin care and the salon business.

Licensure
The BLS notes that all states require cosmetologists to be licensed, with the exception of shampooers. While specific qualifications vary by state, in general a cosmetologist must be at least 16 years old, have a GED or high school diploma and be a graduate of a licensed cosmetology school. After graduating from a licensed program, aspiring cosmetologists take an examination that may contain written, oral and practical portions.

Skills
In addition to meeting education and certification requirements, cosmetologists need to be knowledgeable about fashion and beauty trends. The BLS notes that interpersonal skills are important--so much so that some cosmetology schools require students to take courses in that area. Successful cosmetologists combine their technical know-how with business acumen and the ability to communicate well with clients; sales skills have become vital for cosmetologists as more salons get revenue from retail sales, according to the BLS.

Job Outlook
Employment for cosmetologists is expected to increase by about 20 percent through the year 2018. This growth is largely driven by population increases and a greater demand for hair coloring services by the so-called "baby boomers" and youths, notes the BLS. Competition will be keen for jobs at high-paying salons, but job prospects are excellent for cosmetologists who are trained and licensed to provide a variety of services to clients.

What is the expected job availability in the cosmetology field in the next 10 years?

Stay Beaut

Also what is the expected income for this field in the next ten years?

Answer
Overall employment of barbers, cosmetologists, and other personal appearance workers is projected to grow about 9 to 17 percent for all occupations through 2014, because of an increasing population, rising incomes, and growing demand for personal appearance services. In addition to those arising from job growth, numerous job openings will come about from the need to replace workers who transfer to other occupations, retire, or leave the labor force for other reasons.

Median annual earnings in May 2004 for salaried hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists, including tips and commission, were $19,800. The middle 50 percent earned between $ 15,480 and $26,600. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $12,920, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $35,990.

Median annual earnings in May 2004 for salaried barbers, including tips, were $21,200. The middle 50 percent earned between $15,380 and $30,390. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $12,950, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $43,170.

Among skin care specialists, median annual earnings, including tips, were $ 24,010, for manicurists and pedicurists $18,500, and for shampooers $14,610.

Generally expect salaries to increase by about an average of 3% per year.
