facial skincare? (for men)?

AC-Milan
I'm 18 and I have a reddish facial skin. Yes, I do wash my face, (actually I do it twice in the morning and evening) and this is what I use (in no particular order):
(1) Nivea For Men Moisturising Face Wash (both morning and evening)
(2) Nivea For Men Invigorating Face Scrub (twice weekly)
(3) Nivea For Men After Shave Replenishing Balm 100ml (daily and after shaving)
(4) Nivea For Men Extra Soothing Moisturiser (daily)
I was wondering if the products I use are to blame (btw I had this problem before I started using them) or if it's because I'm not getting the right victims. Any advice would be helpful.
Answer
its prob disfussed redness.. you really cant do too much for it.. since u said that you had this problem before you started using these products... try to find a calming product.. there are several professional ones that i have used in the spa that i have worked. but i think aveeno makes one... i use to have this problem, and i used several different OTC and RX products.. none with any luck.. so i had laser done..

What's the most important grooming/skincare problem and solution for a man to have a sexy face?

What do you think is the most important grooming detail or skincare issue that makes a man most sexy? What facial feature do you find most attractive in a picture, on TV, in a magazine?
Answer
wash your face and remember to shave. Most sexy is probably eyes and jaw line. Sometimes I even over look acne or acne scars on a guy if he has a nice jaw line and bone structure.

Are there any effective fairness cream for men?

Ramuk
I have my wedding in a couple of months. I was wondering if there is any fairness cream for men or any cream that would make my face clearer. Thanks.
Answer
Neutrogena has a facial skincare line specifically for men. However buying a cream that women use is just as effective. Men skincare is advertised to attract men who might feel uncomfortable using women products. I suggest any of the creams by Oil of Olay regenerist line. It helps clear up the face and helps fight the sign of aging. These products can be found at your local drugstore.

What is the best way to approach local businesses about my beauty product brochure?

~
I just started to sell beauty products (cosmetics and skincare) and want to leave my brochure at local businesses showcasing various products. How should I approach them and what should I say?
Answer
Think about what's in it for them? If they can make a profit that will be great. If you are just leaving brochures most small businesses are o.k. with that- it just depends. Here are some tips.
1. When you call on them, make sure you are dressed as a professional.
2. Get the name of the owner or the decision maker.
3. Ask for the decision maker and set an appointment (they
might want to meet with you on the spot).
4. Make sure your brochures are crisp- no bends.
5. Introduce yourself, thank them for meeting with you, ask If you can get 15 minutes of their time. Talk about your brochures and products and what you want them to do with them.
Make sure you know your products, and be prepared to answer questions.
If there is a profit for them let them know. i.e. Mr. Business man, thank you for meeting with me, I would like to show you how you can increase your profits by.... If you need more time during the meeting ask him/her is it o.k.
Think like a giant!
Be bold as a Lyon!
Persevere!
I hope this helps!

How to improve men's eyes and skin?

hither09
Been told my eyes are my best feature and want to make the best use of them:)
What's the best way to make my eyes and skin look good. Any products or skincare routines/tips?
Answer
I've written up a blog entry on skincare routines for girls, but it's probably too long if you're a guy so I've taken out bits that may apply to you. ;P
2- Cleanse. This is an important step and should be done daily. You don't want a day's worth of oil and dirt still caked on your skin while you sleep. It's easiest to do this in the shower so you can wash it straight off. It's best to use your cleanser twice - the first time removes all the surface makeup, oils, dirt etc, and the second time does the actual cleansing. Biore Ice Cleanser is my favourite because it really feels icy and cool on your skin, very refreshing after a long day. :) It also "deep cleans pores, clears acne and helps prevent future breakouts". However right now I'm using St Ives Apricot Cleanser and it's just as good, minus the icy feeling.
3- Exfoliate. Do this only 2-3 times a week; using it more often can be too harsh your skin. This is similar to a cleanser but contains abrasive sandy bits that unclog pores. The best I've used is St Ives Apricot Scrub. An alternative is Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub. My boyfriend uses the same Nivea for Men for both cleansing and exfoliating I think (lazy!).
4- Toner. After getting out of the shower, your pores should be enlarged because of the heat. You need to tighten your pores again to prevent fresh dirt from entering and forming more blackheads. Toner tightens pores, restores your skin's natural pH and prepares your skin to accept moisture. Apply toner over your face and neck with a cotton pad. Alternatively cold water can help tighten pores, so you can use a cold wet towel instead. I'm not sure on the 'best' toner but I've used Johnson's and Biore.
5- Moisturise. After your toner dries, apply moisturiser! I've been told always to use a face moisturiser instead of a regular body lotion especially near your eyes, because these tiny white lumps can form. I don't actually know why this happens or if it's true, but RIGHT after my mum told me I used Sorbolene on my eye area anyway and the next day I got a white dot beneath my eye, so now I'm a believer. :/ Moisturisers come in either creams or gels. There's no 'best' moisturiser I've found as they all pretty much work the same, so go with your favourite brand/scent.
6- Remove blackheads. Using.. pore strips! Actually I have mixed feelings about these strips but I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not to use them. I'd buy the Biore Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips ($6-7 AUD for 6) over the regular ones.
My conclusion after using them: Yes they're a relatively pain-free, easy way to get rid of surface blackheads and make your nose really smooth. However this only lasts so long and really, it's not worth the money. I think from this experience, I'd still rather stick with my (painful) blackhead removal stick and put up with a red, bruised nose.

As for your eyes, I don't think you'd need to do anything to them. :) If you're 25+ and are starting to worry about 'looking old' then you might want to start using an eye cream at night.

How important is a moisturizer with spf?

skincare for men

I'm a guy, 19. Take good care of my skin. used to use Clinique, but now realize it's not worth paying so much. So I am looking at basic skincare for men at drugstore. I am gonna get Neutrogena Men Triple Protect Face Lotion with spf 20. How important is it to have spf? And do I need to use a face lotion? i shave almost every morning. Just trying to keep skincare simple being a guy. Thank you.
Answer
Moisturizers are helpful if you tend to have dry skin. If you are oily, you may not need it. A sunscreen is a good idea even if you do not need the moisturizer. It helps to prevent sunburn, but perhaps more importantly, it helps to prevent aging. You want to look good at your 20 year reunion. Get an SPF of at least 15 and look for both UVA ans UVB protection. Wear daily.
