I dont have any pimples but my skin isnt as clear as i want it to be? What should i do to help?

Answer
Water and tea are useful because they help the skin release toxins and to lessen acne.

Drink plenty of water on a daily basis. This helps to sustain your skinâs suppleness, and it is also necessary for helping your body to get rid of toxic in the form of sweat. Thatâs why Jogging and other work out are important to skin care. They increase blood circulation and bring more oxygen to tissues and also let you sweat. The recommendation is to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and to do a daily work out to flush out toxins that has bacteria which are harmful to the skin. These ways are not only excellent for your health and skin; they are also cheap ways to getting rid of acne forever.

Eating fresh fruit and vegetables build up the bodyâs protection system against bacteria and helps quicker healing of acne. Vitamin C is responsible for the skins general function and its capability to repair itself and to produce and keep collagen. Fruits and vegetables are very good sources of Vitamin C and A. Adding fruits and vegetables with high substance of vitamin C and A to your daily diet is a good way to let acne cure naturally.

Melaleuca oil is at this time one of the best home acne remedies. Melaleuca oil is applied topically as an anti-infective agent. The use of melaleuca oil is fast gaining popularity in the world because of its ability to treat and fight skin blemishes as well as curing acne in your skin. As one of the leading home acne remedies it has been a better alternative to a number of over the counter drugs in the market today. Melaleuca oil has been shown effective for bacterial infections as acne.

Zinc is an essential requirement for a healthy body as it helps cells reproduce. It is widely recognized that lack of zinc can contribute to acne. The recommended dietary allowance of zinc from puberty on is 11mg for males and 8mg for females, with higher amounts recommended during pregnancy. Zinc seals and protects the skin. Zinc oxide has been used for generations to relieve itching. Zinc sulfate is effective in treating some cases of acne.

Lessen the use of cosmetics as much as possible. These block pores. If you must put on makeup, make sure that you are using products for sensitive skin. Splash your face with cold water before applying, and make sure you wash all the makeup away before going to bed.

**Also try toothpaste, it works like a charm!!!
And do not wash your face 5 times a day, or its gonna get REALLY dry!

Are there any organic or all-natural face washes that help clear breakouts?

bmel

I've been having issues with my skin lately, as every teen does. It's nothing major - no severe breakouts - but I would prefer to get rid of blemishes and discoloration/small scars from zits. I like using organic or all-natural products - does any one know of a good product to use that helps heal blemishes, minimize discoloration, control oils, yet leave skin feeling soft and not dry?

Answer
Hey there,
Those minor break outs can be a real pain! I think you're on the right track to use all natural and organic products. Clear skin could be a easy as eliminating petrochemicals and sulphates from your skin care regime.

Botani have a good acne rescue kit that you may want to try, and it's not that expensive either. Mind you the acne rescue cream does have a bit of benzylalcohol

Rosehip Oil has well known healing properties and lovely on your skin. Quite a quick and relatively inexpensive fix it.

Another thing, be careful what type of make-up you use, if it has petrochemicals, it's probably blocking you're pores (even the water based non-comedone types). Try a mineral make up instead. Brands like Inika and Earthy Essences use Zinc Oxide which helps to heal the skin as well as provide a natural sunscreen.

Good luck

What do minerals actually do for my skin?

Labels:

skin care trends on Asia Pacific leads the way in skin care packaging trends
skin care trends image

Q. I know minerals are important, but I can't find much info about their impact on skin. Mineral skin care seems to be a new trend, and I like the idea of it being all natural but I need to know more before I try it. Any ideas??

Answer
Your skin uses minerals every day :
- to encourage the production of elastin and collagen (which enhances elasticity, tautness and flexibility of the skin)
- as an anti-inflammatory agent which slows down the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- as an antioxidant to prevent damage to cells
- to stimulate the regeneration of skin cells
- to heal damaged cells
- to eliminate dry skin
- to neutralise free radicals that can cause damage to your skin
- to fight acne
- to protect your skin from the sun
- to regulate the oil levels in your skin

As you can see, minerals are an essential part of skincare to say the least! I use Omorovicza skin care products which contain the following minerals: zinc, copper, magnesium, calcium, manganese & selenium. They are really expensive, but seem to be the leaders in mineral skin care. You can read what each mineral does at the following link. I hope that helps!

What exactly is a microdermabrasion treatment?

I Love My

Im 20, and I have this coupon for a skin care place for a free 15 minute microdermabrasion.. what exactly does the microderm. do?

Answer
Microdermabrasion (often referred to as Microderm) is a cosmetic procedure popular in day spas, doctors' practices, and medical spas in which the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin) is partially or completely removed by light abrasion. Different methods include mechanical abrasion from jets of zinc oxide or aluminum oxide crystals, fine organic particles, or a roughened surface. Particles are removed off through the wand/handpiece through which the abrasive particles come [1] The term dermabrasion itself refers to the more severe medical procedure carried out under general or light anesthesia.

Microdermabrasion is used to remove sun-damaged skin and to remove or lessen scars and dark spots on the skin. The procedure is not very painful and requires no anaesthetic. Microdermabrasion can be used medically for scar removal when the scar is raised above the surrounding skin, but is less effective with sunken scars. There is very little, if any, evidence that microdermabrasion stimulates collagen formation. Microdermabrasion can also be used for treatment of acne, but must be repeated periodically to be effective. Microdermabrasion should not be used on patients who have taken the medication Accutane (Isotretinion) in the previous twelve months.

In the past, microdermabrasion was carried out using abrasive crystals. However, in the last decade, it has become more common to use a wand with a roughened surface. This procedure requires no medical oversight and is commonly used in conjunction with facial spa treatments. These days there are a multiplicity of machines available for microdermabrasion.

The growth of the microdermabrasion treatment industry has led to innovations and there are currently a few different microdermabrasion systems available. In terms of professional microdermabrasion systems there are two choices:

1. Crystal microdermabrasion Crystal microdermabrasion systems are the traditional treatment of choice and rely on tiny crystals that are blasted onto the skin to perform the exfoliating process. Although the crystal microdermabrasion system is still widely used, the introduction of alternatives has led to a trend away from this treatment system.

2. Diamond microdermabrasion Diamond microdermabrasion systems operate without the need for crystals. The exfoliation process occurs when a diamond tipped head makes contact with the skin and abrades against it. In both crystals and diamond microdermabrasion systems the dead skin cells are sucked away from the face.

3. Home Microdermabrasion Home microdermabrasion systems are an increasingly popular alternative to professional treatments. These are cheap and very easy to perform, and although not as powerful as professional systems, can produce good results over time. There is a great deal of competition in the home microdermabrasion systems market with most of the big cosmetics and skin care brands launching their own home systems.

Microdermabrasion is a procedure where tiny particles "sand" or "polish" the skin and gradually remove scarred or discolored epidermal tissue. When you use a home microdermbrasion system the surface skin cell turnover will be enhanced and the skin will be visibly fresher. Home microdermabrasion creams with active ingredients, are focused on skin renewal and accelerate rebuilding of healthy collagen skin cells after microdermabrasion, laser resurfacing or harsh peels. For depressed scars, such as pitted acne scars, subcision with needles is often used by estheticians to break up the deeply buried scar tissue, and a home microdermabrision system then speeds up new healthy skin remodeling: the orderly process of laying out new collagen and elastin fibers.

I started with Mary Kay around the end of February, making it one month since I started. I have attended two meetings, the first one went great because I did learn lots of things but yesterday I felt really bad because I see that all these women get recognized for selling a lot of products and at the same time had lots of Skin Care Classes. I have only had one facial, and hope to have around three more this and next week(I have already spoken to some people about it). But, what I feel bad about is that I have had lots of people not order from the book because they either have had an allergic reaction or because they believe it is too expensive. What I think is that they do not know the product. But anyway, should I be thinking this way already? I know one of the main concepts from Mary Kay is "not quitting".I need to mention that I do have a full time job and have a married life with two young boys. How can I approach other methods to try to sell Mary Kay, and I do like it though.

Answer
DOn't give up! It will get easier. The first year of a business is the hardest and the first 6 months are the hardest of that. You business will have highs and lows. Right now you are comparing yourself to people that may have more clients, a different situtation at home, working their business longer, who knows. BUt, please don't let yourself compare yourself to anyone. Your goal should be to do the best you can right now and try to improve every month. The focus should be growing your clientele by seeing more faces. Don't worry about sales right now. Just see as many faces as you can and it will grow from there.

I suggest doing the power start: 30 faces in 30 days. I know this sounds like a lot, but with 6 classes of 5 people each, you would be done! Plus, getting referrels from each one makes a huge difference! When I hit lows I do the power start all over again. Whomever I ask I just say "I am working on a huge goal for my business and need to borrow your face" then I remind them to keep their checkbook in the car. It takes the pressure off and if they like the product, then they will buy.

I have 2 boys, work fulltime and my husband is deployed, so I totally understand your frustration. Just keep working at it and give it TIME!

Opinions on Avon and Mary Kay. Should I join and, start selling? Which one is best? How much is it?

*LiZ*

Well, I contacted one woman in King William, Va. She said the cost to start was $20. But, I have seen numerous people on the internet say it's only $10. I am interested in doing this, but need to know opinions of people that have done this before. Also, if you have sold Mary Kay before, how much is that to start? Which one is better to do? Thanks ahead!

Answer
There are pos and cons to both companies you need to decide which is best for you based on the facts so talking with someone from both companies so you get facts not hear say or emotion information.
They are very different in the way they conduct business I know a little about Avon it does cost less to start however it seems to be harder to make money too. You also have to earn the percentage you make based on your sales. You can be an e consultant I think that is where the $20 comes in. Avon focus more on catalog sales but I think they also have consultant that do shows not sure or is it if you sign online verse with a person see ask someone who sell Avon I could be mixing it up. ( My mk Director sold it yrs ago before MK twice actually)

MK cost $100 to start plus shipping 8.75 and your state tax. You get over $300 in full size products to demo enough to do 30 faces plus business supplies and demo trays etc. You make 50% of what you sell always plus you can earn business and commissions. Books change quarterly some would say MK is expensive it is comparable to department store process so the market is there hence you don't have to work as hard to make money you get sales and the reorder business especially from skin care. In MK it is about the service of your clients not just passing out books.
Hope this helps

I have been looking for a good skin care line for African American women but I haven't found any. I haven't tried Clean & Clear or Clearasil because Im not sure if they are for women of my tone. My main problems with my skin is dryness and discoloration. I frequently have blemishes or pimples but having a good cleanser and moisturizer to fight against that would be good as well.
correction: I have occasional breakouts and my skin is also very sensitive. I've suffer from exzema as a child.

Answer
You should try Black Opal Products or Ambi Products. I use Black Opal and it works well on problem skin; blemishes, acne, discoloration, oily and dry skin..... You can find the products in CVS, Rite-Aid, Wal- Greens and just about any grocery store..

Are black women compromising when it comes to looking for a husband or life mate?

Dove

I hear a lot of black women say they don't need a man to take care of them (and their children). Why wouldn't you want a nice gentlemen to take care of you? Why are black women standards so low? Why are you giving guys the easy way by say they don't need to help you or your children? Are they looking for a man or a BOY? Because there is a big difference.

Answer
It's because their is a shortage of decent black men and most black women don't date outside of their race. Sometimes they just have no choice especially really dark skinned black women because men black and white go after the light skinned women first.

Answer
You may not be able to get rid of wrinkles without cost, but you can learn to hid them and prevent more. Here is some info that has been beneficial to me:

http://www.prevention.com/cda/article/makeup-tricks-that-erase-the-years/977e150e879fd110VgnVCM20000012281eac____/lifelong.beauty/makeup/bobbi.brown/0/0/1

Wear sunscreen and facial products that contain retinol. And remember what you eat affects your skin too.

BTW, I am older than you, never had plastic surgery,or facial treatments, but look about ten years younger just because I take care of myself.

Ive been using this organic stuff for tattoos and piercings and one day i used this other stuff on it plus lotion on top because my ear was very dry and crackley--- if thats a word lol

Thank you for your help

Answer
I can't see the picture :S What you need to know abut bumps and how to treat :

There are 2 kind of bumps when it comes to new piercings. Hypertrophic scarring bumps and cysts/boils.

If the bump does not ooze any fluids or blood or whatever, does not hurt and has the color of your skin, you know it's a hypertrophic scarring bump. This bump is made of scar tissue ( new skin that is naturally created to heal a piercing ) and it goes away with proper care, it just takes time.

If the bump does ooze any fluids and it does hurt then you know it's a cyst/boil. If the cyst is also filled with pus you know that it got infected.

You treat both those bumps with sea salt soaks twice a day.

Warm water (8oz) + non iodized salt (1/4 teaspoon) mixed in a cup. Soak the piercing in for 10 minutes, 2 times a day. Use a q-tip to clean around the piercing thoroughly, rinse with water and pat it dry with a paper towel.

Non iodized salt is cheap and easy to find.

p.s. Piercings bumps are not keloids. Keloids are also formations of scar tissue but they are very very dark and you need to be prone in forming keloids in general after any kind of skin injury. People with dark skin tones are prone to them.
So it's very very rare to actually get a keloid on a piercing.

Hypertrophic scarring bumps are confused to keloids which are common on new unhealed piercings.

Only do sea salt soaks and never ever use any lotion or ointments on the piercing.

Until the piercing is fully healed don't : touch it, twist the jewelry, sleep on it, change the jewelry or take it out, play with it, but only touch it with freshly washed hands to clean it.

Industrial is a piercings that goes through ear cartilage and those piercings are not easy piercings to heal. They take at least 1 full year to fully heal and they have their ups and downs while doing so.

Meaning..they can stay irritated and swollen for long, bumps can be formed around them which can also get infected. All this goes away with proper care but can happen again days or even months later.
So be extra careful with those piercings.

Avoid touching, do sea salt soaks twice a day for the whole healing period ( yes 1 full year ) , never sleep on them etc.

Why do Mexicans worship White people?

Max

Spanish is a white language that we gave to Mexicans when we conquered you. Mexicans don't have your own language and LOVE white people. The closer you are to white in Mexico the better treated you are, I actually felt bad being there (I'm Spanish) because I was treated like royalty because I'm white. Mexicans have no pride.

Mexicans worship the ground we walk on. That's why you hate on blacks when we hate both of you, you want to be just like us lol x.

We live in Mexico because we are royalty in Mexico. No, we're more like Gods. Ugly girls go for Mexicans, and Mexicans go for ugly girls because all hey want is the white skin, they don't care what she looks like. And of course we hate you, why do you think everyone is campaigning to get you sent back to Mexico? Even the blacks want you to go back lol.

We're (white Spanish descent people) the richest group of people in Mexico and we own the Government. Brown skin Mexicans (aka real Mexicans) are the poorest. You're the poorest group of people in your own country, lol. Mexico isn't really too poor a country, but only non-Mexicans benefit from that lol, real Mexicans live in places like Juarez that has one of the highest murder rate on the entire planet, higher than every country in Africa and Europe

Answer
Max is not exactly a Spanish name.
Miami, Florida is not exactly in Spain nor is it in Mexico.

Are nail clippers and cell phone chargers allowed on carry-on bags?

Paco

I'm taking a flight for the first time that is leaving New York to Florida. Will I be allowed to carry a pair of nail clippers and my cell phone charger on my carry-on, or do those have to be checked in? Thanks!

Answer
Yes, absolutely.

The TSA won't even bat an eye at those things. Pretty much all health and beauty supplies are allowed (tweezers, nail clippers, small scissors used to trim your nose hair, hair dryer, flat iron, curling irons, etc.) are all allowed. And all basic tech supplies are allowed (computers, cords, mouse, video camera, video game consoles, etc.) are also all allowed.

Where beauty supplies get tricky is with the liquids rule. All liquids, creams, deodorants, etc. have to be in a bottle that is 3oz or less and all of those bottles has to fit into one quart sized plastic bag. They WILL bust you on this and make you throw away your stuff!

What kind of stores do they typically in a mall?

How can I launch a homemade skin care line?

HelpPlease

I have an idea for a skin care line, and I've heard of others doing very well after starting small. So, what steps do I take to actually do this?

Where are the recipes?
Also, what if I want to use specific active ingredients (e.g., alpha hydroxy or salicylic acid)? How do I get those? What government oversight will I be subject to? FDA? FTC?

Should I consult with a dermatologist and/or aesthetician first? If so, how do I find a good one, and what questions do I need to ask them?

Any tips for getting it into stores?
What else do I need to know?

I know I ask a lot, but I'm excited about my idea. I just don't have the know-how to make it happen. I appreciate any and all constructive advice.

Answer
hey i also wanna launch my own skin care line in future but im going to university to do a course in it...im sorry i cant help u with all ur asking but iv got this neat site which tell u about ingredients used in cosmetics...

http://www.cosmeticsciencetechnology.com/ingredients.php

i think u should visit a dermotologist to guide u.ask about ingredients and how to manufacture in your home, what apparatus u need saftey, how much etc...

u could either start up from home or open a small lil shop of ur own if..u could also go and suggest your products to the shop and see how things go...

i really wish i could help u more...

maybe u could do a small course involving cosmetic science...

i really wish u the best of luck

I'm not sure if being a naturopathic dermatologist is what I would need to be. I'm interested in studying natural skin care and creating remedies for it. The people are Burt's Bees, or Aubrey Organics, are they chemists? Dermatologists? What do I need to study to do this? Thanks!

If you are just looking to create skin care products, then anyone can do this in their basement or garage. Once you do your research on the ingredients, find a way to combine them and market them, you send your formulas to a pharmaceutical maker like http://www.youngpharm.com/ and work with them on finalizing development.

If you are looking to do this on a professional level with an established company, then a chemistry degree would be your first step. You may look at botany, biology, microbio, and organic chemistry heavy schooling as well.

Ideas & Tips On How To Save Money For Mis Quince Años/ My 15th Birthday?

Q. I'm having my quinceanera. I'm going to start planning soon, but before I start planning, I need to make a budget and stick with it. My family doesn't have a ton of money, but we're not poor. I'm probably going to have sponsors. Although, I'm going to have them, I would like to know good & creative ideas for things I can do to save money. I'm the type of person who likes nice things but I like to save & not spend a whole lot of money. Help me please!:)))

Answer
There are a lot of people who, because of the unpredictable economy and increasing price of living, are looking for methods that they can use to help them save money. If you want to do this, though, you need to make a real effort because you need to break the habit of living beyond your capabilities. Here are some quick and easy methods that you can use to save money.

If you have a gym or health club membership, you can save lots of money if you quit. While keeping fit is obviously important that doesn't mean you need to belong to a health club to get it. Most of the time people who have purchased gym memberships only use them once in a while. If you drive there you're taking up extra time and spending extra money for gas. Lots of money can be saved by going for walks or runs in your own neighborhood and working out in your living room or basement. You can buy free weights pretty cheaply to do your strength training at home. Even if you buy a reasonably priced workout machine for your home, you will be spending quite a lot less than you would on a yearlong membership to your local gym. Another big expense most don't think about is your phone bill. Many people today have high phone bills because they have a cell phone, a land line and possibly internet phone as well. If you could reduce this to one account, you'd be spending a lot less. Cell phones are usually the most convenient so you might consider a pay as you go plan. That way you can avoid paying for minutes you aren't using. You should also avoid, or cut back on text messaging, which can really add to your cell phone bill. It is often cheaper to text from the internet rather than from your phone.

For many hair care is a significant expense they can reduce. One way to reduce this expense is to switch salons to one that is less expensive. A beauty college is a great resource for saving money on haircuts and styles among other services since they can charge far less than the average licensed salon. Teach yourself to cut your own hair is an option too. If you have a family, you or someone else could be the hair stylist of the family and cut everyone's hair, which would really save a lot! If you compare name brand products with generic brands you will see that you can save a lot of money without sacrificing the quality of your products by switching to a generic.

When you start to think creatively, you will see lots of ways that you can save money and your savings will start to climb. Lots of times, people spend much more than they actually have to on things like entertainment, food, shopping and other stuff because they don't look into alternatives. In addition to helping you save money, the tips in this answer will help you train your brain to be more frugal as well.

Answer
I don't understand what all the hype is on working a home "job". You will only make minimum wage. Is that a sufficient amount of income? Even though the gas prices have been cut from your budget (assuming that your the only one working, if your spouse is working outside of the home, then the prices are still in effect). Like I was saying, even though the gas prices have been cut, there still is the expensive of Mortgage (in some cases rent due each month) utilities, food, play money etc etc etc.) A home based job that pays only minimum wage is not going to cut these expenses. Most of these jobs require a minimum of 4 to 8 hours. Calculate the hours to your minimum wage and see if that's a sufficient amount of income for you. If it is, then I can refer you over to a few places. I'm not guaranteeing you a job, because everyone wants to work from home. but I can give you a lead to them.

The ones that do pay more, you have to already be working there and have an in with the management or owner. Someone that knows you.

If you really want to work from home, assuming that is why your looking for an online job, you will make more money starting a home based business. their's plenty of different ones you can do from child daycare centers, to traveling, to accounting, to tax preperations, to telecommunications (utilities) to charters, candle making, health products, beauty products etc. You can take any type of business and make it into a home based business.

. You will make more money running a business like this, then looking for a home "job" Starting a home based business is inexpensive. Most are under $500 with the income opportunity just as good as a traditional business without all the overhead costs that they consume. Plus just about everything in your home becomes a tax write off. In a home "job", you get paid minimum wage, still have to pay utilities and no tax write offs and have to work the same amount of hours if not more from your home..

If you'd like some ideas of home based businesses to take a look at for different ideas, you may take a look at my 360 page blog that I created on home based business opportunities.

The income opportunity in home based businesses are just incredible. As an example of just one type of business you can look into is what my husband and I have been doing for over six years now in the telecommunications industry with a world wide company that's over 15 years old. We've been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated us the 22nd fastest growing company. offering services that people use every day and pay for anyway, but now they can have a lower cost. Services such as local and long distance phones, Internet, digital phones, video phones VOIP, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltell, Nextell etc. have partnered up with them too.
How many people do you know, or know of, that uses one or more of these services? How would you feel if you could save people money on services that they're already using then every time they pay their bills each month, you make a percentage every single month. Huge income opportunity. A lot of money is involved in this industry.

There are so many home based opportunities. You just have to find one that makes since to you and you'd be happy doing.

If you'd like further information on this, your more then welcome to email me.

Do you know which grocery stores are cheaper than others? Do you use coupons? Do you shop at multiple grocery stores because you know you can can some items cheaper at one store and others cheaper at another? Do you wait until grocery items go on sale to buy? In other words, do you put effort into saving money on groceries and other household items like detergent and cleaning supplies?

Answer
Without using coupons, typically Walmart is cheaper than Publix or Target, but Winn-Dixie is also very cheap. I'm not sure what other stores you have in your area, but stores like Raley's, Stop and Shop, Shaws, Dillon's, Save A Lot, etc are cheap as well.

I personally use coupons to save my family money. I sometimes shop at multiple stores to get the best deal because some stores will have different sales and I can combine coupons with sales to get things for even cheaper or sometimes free.

If I need an item, I will most likely buy it, regardless of price. Thinks like meat, dairy, and produce rarely go on sale, but when they do I stock up.

My weekly shopping trips sometimes require some time to gather my coupons, search for coupons that may be around for items I need, and take into account the sales at all the stores near me. Drugstores like CVS and Walgreens tend to have the best prices on health and beauty products and cleaning supplies. Publix has great sales on groceries and paired with coupons, I sometimes cut my bill in half.

If you're interested in trying to save money on groceries and household items, take a look at my blog! I post weekly deals from CVS, Walgreens, Publix, and Target as well as online deals, coupons, and much more. You can even subscribe through Twitter, Facebook, email, or RSS reader.

How can I print off coupons from the net ?

igali

My pc is out dated and I can't download the coupon printer program to print off the online coupons. I know I can get coupons through my newspaper and the mail but there are tons more coupons that I can get online that isn't offer through my newspaper/mail. Is there another way for me to get these coupons that are being offer online without downloading this program?

*Operating system: Windows 98

Answer
Read the second to last paragraph below....

The best coupon website that I have found is http://www.HotCouponWorld.com. It has loads of information about every type of coupon you are looking for. There is so much information that you really have to take the time and read through all the forums to get the full benefit.

I get a lot of great printable coupon links off of this forum http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/printables/ Tons of grocery and health and beauty coupons

This site has also helped me to match my coupons with sales at certain stores and if you read through the forums will teach you everything you need to know. I save the most money shopping to CVS which I always thought was too expensive. When you use their sales and their Extra Care Bucks rewards you actually get so much free and many times you get what is called an "overage" which is where with the discounts you actually earn money so you get things for free and they basically pay you to shop there. You do have to put some time into it at first but once you get the hang of it it's like second nature. Here is a link to the drug store forums (Walgreens, RiteAid, CVS etc...) http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/drug-stores/

Also, another great thing is that they have forums for each grocery store. So you can click on which ever grocery store you want to shop at and you will see where people have already matched up coupons with the stores sales which is very helpful. (This is how you get a lot of food free or for very little money.) http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/grocery-stores/

This is another great way to get coupons... the following is a link to many different manufacturers. If you click on the "Contact Us" link on each website and just compliment their products or ask for coupons 75% or more will mail you coupons. Most of them are great coupons ( I just got 4 coupons for free Playtex tampons (6.99 value each). Because you do have to fill in your name and address you would want to use an auto fill program so that with a click of a button everything is filled in (ex. name, address, email etc.) then all you have to do is write a personal message and hit send. I make up a generic message complimenting the product and save it on my computer. When I am requesting for coupons I just copy and paste that message so I don't have to type anything. It takes all of maybe 15 seconds on each website for great return in coupons.

http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dfk9rdxc_5fbhm6wfr

I know all of this information can really help you just have to take the time to read and teach yourself to really cut your grocery bill in half. I more then cut mine in half and that is not including the free name brand shampoo, conditioner, make up, face wash, body wash, and personal hygiene products.

Answer
a pet store would be a good place to start for info and search the Web for facts about stuff i had a salamander before that i caught in the woods under a rock near the stream. you can get a 10gal tank would be fine for about 3 or 4 of them if you want to get better quality salamander get one from a pet shop
or catch one your self. get some rocks and stack them 2 high at one end leaving about 1/2 of the tank get some pea gravel for the other have you can get this at the pet store. fill the water till it comes up over the big rocks some so they can hide out under the rocks with out droning. the other side should not be to full with the pea gravel a small layer will do fine. when you complete this your tank should be have land and about have water. so they can swim and get out of the water when they want. you can use the light that comes with the aquarium but be sure not to leave it on all day 3to5 hours a day will be enough. they have food at the pet store's but They eat insect and snails about 3 times a week. well that about covers that here is some more info have fun

Is a newt a salamander?
Yes, but a salamander is not always a newt. Confused? The word "salamander" is
the name for an entire group, or scientific order, of amphibians that have tails
as adults. This includes animals commonly known as newts and sirens. Most of the
animals in the salamander order look like a cross between a lizard and a frog.
They have moist, smooth skin like frogs, and long tails like lizards. The term
"newt" is sometimes used for salamanders that spend most of each year living on
land. The name "siren" is generally given to salamanders that have lungs as well
as gills and never develop beyond the larval stage. Other names salamanders go
by include olm, axolotl, spring lizard, water dog, mud puppy, hellbender,
triton, and congo eel. Whew!
From head to toes
Most salamanders are small, and few species are more than 6 inches (15
centimeters) long. Their heads are narrow and they have small eyes. Sirens have
only two legs, but the other salamander species develop four legs as adults,
with fleshy toes at the end of each foot. Some species, like paddle-tail newts
Pachytriton labiatus and male palmate newts Triturus helveticus, have fully
webbed feet with very short toes to help them climb on slippery surfaces. Those
that like to dig, such as the tiger salamander Ambystoma tigrinum, have no
webbing at all on their feet. A salamanderâs hind legs grow more slowly than its
front legs. (Frogs and toads are just the opposite. Their hind legs grow more
quickly than their front legs.) All four legs on a salamander are so short that
its belly drags on the ground. The exception to this is the sirens. They donât
have hind legs at all! Their long, strong tails are flat to help sirens swim
like a fish, with the tail flapping from side to side.
Take a deep breath
Different members of the salamander order have developed different ways of
breathing. Sirens keep their gills all their lives, allowing them to breathe
underwater. Others, such as the tiger salamander, lose their gills as they grow
older and develop lungs to breathe air. But most, like the arboreal salamander
Aneides lugubris and the California slender salamander Batrachoseps attenuatus,
donât have lungs or gills as adults. Commonly called lungless salamanders, they
breathe through their skin and the thin membranes in the mouth and throat.
All wet!
Newts usually have smooth, slick skin and salamanders have dry, warty skin. But
of course there are exceptions! A fire salamanderâs Salamandra salamandra skin
is smooth and damp, while crested newts Triturus cristatus shed their dry, warty
skin when they return to the water to breed. But no matter what it may look or
feel like, salamanders and newts need to keep their skin moist. If they get too
hot and dry, they could die.
Land or water or both?
Since salamanders need to stay cool and moist to survive, those that live on
land are found in shady forested areas. They spend most of their time staying
out of the sun under rocks and logs, up in trees, or in burrows theyâve dug in
the damp earth. Some will seek out a pool of water where they can breed and lay
their eggs, before returning to the land. Others, like sirens, olms Proteus
anguineus, and axolotls Ambystoma mexicanum, spend their entire lives in the
water.
Life cycle
Different salamander species have different life cycles, too. Some breed, lay
their eggs, and hatch on land. Others, such as some newts, breed and lay eggs in
the water. When the eggs hatch, the larvae grow up in the water, then return to
the land as adults. Still others, such as the giant salamander Andrias sp. and
the hellbender Cryptobranchus alleganiensis, spend all the stages of their life
cycle in water. Lungless salamanders have eggs that hatch directly into small
salamanders, skipping the larval stage entirely!
Bringing up baby
Most salamander species hatch from eggs. Female salamanders that live entirely
in the water lay more eggsâup to 450âthan those that spend some time on land.
The California newt Taricha torosa lays a clump of 7 to 30 eggs on underwater
plants or exposed roots. The eggs are protected by a toxic gel-like membrane.
Lungless salamanders such as the spiny salamander Plethodon sp. are devoted
parents that share egg-guarding duties. They curl their bodies around the eggs
and turn them over from time to time. This protects the eggs from predators and
from fungal infections. Some mother newts keep their eggs safe by wrapping
leaves around each one as they are laidâup to 400 eggs! Salamanders in the
larval stage of their development are called efts.
Whatâs on the menu?
All salamanders are carnivores, but they are seldom in a hurry to catch their
meals. Because they move more slowly than other meat eaters, salamanders tend to
eat slow-moving, soft-bodied creatures such as earthworms, slugs, and snails.
Larger species may eat fish, crayfish, and small mammals such as mice and
shrews. They might approach their target slowly, then make a quick grab with
their sharp teeth. Or they might hide and wait for a tasty meal to pass close
enough to snatch. Several species can flick out their tongues to catch their
food as it goes by.
Staying safe
Would you want to eat something that tasted awful or hurt your mouth? Probably
not! Salamanders have some special ways to keep from becoming another animalâs
next meal. Most salamanders, such as the red-spotted newt Notophthalmus
viridescens, have brightly colored, poisonous skin. The bold color tells
predators that the newt is not safe to eat. Many salamanders have glands on the
back of the neck or on the tail. These glands can secrete a poisonous or
bad-tasting liquid. Some species can even shed their tail during an attack and
grow a new one later. The ribbed newt Pleurodeles waltl has needlelike rib tips.
It can squeeze its muscles to make the rib tips pierce through its skin and into
its enemy, teaching it a sharp lesson! The California salamander Ensatina
eschscholtzii stands high on its legs and waves its tail to scare away danger.
Humans: the biggest enemy
Unfortunately, people are the salamandersâ worst enemy. Humans continue to
pollute and destroy wetland habitats. Remember, these amphibians need water to
survive. Filling in their ponds, using pesticides, and rerouting water for our
own water needs has caused declines in many salamander populations. We need to
help conserve remaining habitats and provide new gardens and parks for these
unique creatures.

How long should I wait to dye my hair lighter?

iheartlilw

I died my hair black multiple times in the last two years. 7 months ago I does my hair black and red on the bottom. About two months ago I died it all dark blond which left the bottom of my hair a weird pink and the top a dark brown. I want to ombré it blonde but people say you shouldn't dye over dyed hair. Would it not look right if I did it? Plus I have medium hair extremely thick and curly/frizzy.

Answer
Permanent black hair dye is linked to causing leukemia and lymphomas.
You've got more chemicals on your hair than I have in a year!

Overlapping dye onto previously colored hair is what creates dullness and dryness. If you color your hair @ home or salon, let your roots grow out as long as you can stand, so the line of demarcation is easier to spot. Only run color through the lengths for five minutes to refresh the ends. To extend the time between touch-ups, use a gloss and deep -conditioning treatments. They will help smooth cuticles roughed up by daily wear & tear, and the hair will look shinier. ~ Harry Josh, hairstylist of the celebrities.

Celebrity wears two-tone hair dye all the time, trying to grow out their dye. They call that the ombre style.

Style meets chemistry meets biology: We're talking hair coloring.

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.

> > > Hair dye chemicals linked to cancer
London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 22 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <â¨

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time. Skin specialist Najjia Ashraf reveals that there are barely any dyes that donât contain this toxin; even the ones who claim they donât, are not being honest. âBig brands often escape the blame by suggesting they are ammonia-free. However, ammonia and PPD are two very different things and PPD is present in nearly every dye because it is what gives off the colour,â she explains.

Emma

I did my level 1 and 2 hairdressing 2 years ago and I can't remember anything my mum has asked me to lowlight my sisters hair which has been bleached and looks quite yellow I used koleston at college I understand a little bit and was wondering what I should use. I read up on it and thought maybe 5/07? Or 5/77? But obviously I can't really remember if anyone could help I would be grateful. Thanks x

Answer
Call the 1-800# found on the box of dye or email them, (to find #, go online & search the brand if you don't have the box) they're the hair color experts they can advice you best.

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.
Example: "My hair is right about armpit length as it is, but I've severely damaged it by bleaching it all at once. As a student of cosmetology myself, I would have to say that it was probably one of the worst mistakes I could have ever made."
Another example: ok i did my hair yesterday i DIDN'T bleach it ,but im not sure what its called but she took the color out of my hair and then dies it a blond color and my head was on fire it killed me so after that i hated my hair color so i colored it my self a darker color, it looked so ugly and it burned me again it rully hrt so after i washed it my mom checked it for me and found small spots of blood all over my top scalp like over 20 of em now im scared and don't know why its there is it from the color am i sick and something is wrong ??

How should I braid my hair to make it grow faster?

Emiley

Ok so I have naturally straight blonde hair that's I would think is healthy because I wash it almost every other day and take pretty good care of it, but a couple months ago I cut bangs above my nose and they've grown out past my chin and I want them to grow longer before school starts (in like 2 months) I know that braiding your hair makes it grow longer because it prevents breakage, but I don't know what kind of braids... I heard that tight cornrows can damage it because they're tight and pull at the scalp but I don't really know what else would be best for helping it grow

Answer
Traction alopecia is hair loss that occurs as a result of continuous pulling of the hair. Pulling may occur from hairstyles such as tight cornrows, plaits or braids with or without extensions, weaves, ponytails or even hair rollers or curlers. Natural hairstyles can also lead to traction alopecia as well. Long heavy locks and tightly coiled twists can lead to traction alopecia. The hair loss associated with traction alopecia typically occurs at the frontal hairline, at the temples or the area of the scalp above the ears. It may also occur at the posterior hairline.

Sorry, but that's NOT growing!

Growing comes from eating.

If you've straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.

NO MATTER which link you picked, they all suggest the same foods. Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don't expect to look like you've stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you've changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results. Hair is dead, but hair also has electrical energy; the negative charge of damaged hair can lead to flyways and unruly hair.

Growing healthy hair doesn't come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you're in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you're eating healthy foods. But when hair isn't growing as fast, it's because they've been tampered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .

5 Hair MYTHS - BUSTED
http://www.gilmermirror.com/view/full_stâ¦

âOld wivesâ tales and ineffective products that claim to treat or rehabilitate hair often have a placebo effect because people want them to work,â says Davis-Sivasothy, author of âHair Care Rehab,â (www.haircarerehab.com). âBut many of these ideas and products actually do the opposite of whatâs intended, and they delay the user from seeking out real solutions.â
Davis-Sivasothy debunks the following common hair-care myths:
â¢Â Myth: Thereâs a magic pill (or oil, serum or balm) to grow our hair faster, stronger or thicker. Unfortunately, no. Hair growth is genetically predetermined and controlled by our hormones. Unless the magic pill affects our genes or hormones, thereâs no hope that it might make our hair grow. (This includes prenatal vitamins. Credit the upsurge in hormone levels during pregnancy for those vibrant tresses!) Basic vitamin supplements can offer slight improvements in hair quality, but only if our body truly lacks the particular vitamin or mineral being taken.

How can people say dog show handlers dont love or care for their dogs?

Q. Ive seen the oh so many times. It just baffles me when i hear this. Is it that they just dont know? Or have they seen something? Cause every show dog i know i cared and loved more then most humans are.

It sickens me to hear people say this cause it just an ignorant thing to say.

What do you think?
my dogs are the same my weimaraners get out exercising everyday. my one loves to chase the others around the yard. I plant bird wings for her to find. she loves that. she wont give it back to me at first but still.

And jane my bulldogs are a healthy as can be. yes we do c-section and ai but so what. its for their safety. people wanted to breed that nasty attitude out of them.
my weimaraners are well taken care of and i only show the ones that like it. my bulldogs love to show.

They are first and foremost my companions my pets.
You know what jane your the misinformed one. My SHOW weimaraners can go out into the field and hunt and have proven so. I am on the way to getting a Junior hunter on the one.

Pointers can go out and point i have seen them do so and they are also show pointers.

If you get a bulldog from a responsible breeder the health problems are minimal.

Dont spout off your idiotic assumptions with no proof because you are absolutely wrong.
Ok once again you are wrong. Responsible breeders do not breed for color. Yes there are colors that they would like to see but they dont specifically breed for them. they breed for health first and foremost.

Answer
It is because most people only repeat things they hear and have no real experience. While of course some show dogs aren't treated well (the same goes for a lot of pets only) the majority are treated very well. They are first and fore most well loved pets. They get to run & play, they get to sleep on the bed, the couch, go for walks, have toys & treats, etc. They aren't kept crated 24/7, they aren't just bathed, groomed put in the ring and then forgotten about.

Many show dogs are owner handled not sent off to a handler. My own are owner handled.

A lot of time and training is spent with most show dogs. The majority have more attention & human bonding then most pets.

My own show dogs sleep on my bed, sleep on the couch, have a huge toy box full of toys, go shopping at Petco & Petsmart, go camping, hiking, go on doggie walks, go to doggie camp, etc. They are well loved pets.

*****a responsible show dog person/breeder does NOT breed simply for beauty (conformation is NOT a beauty contest) They breed for an entire package..conformation, heath, breed standard, temperament, longevity. Sadly people that think that showing is only a beauty contest are very mis-informed********
***** People most certainly don't show dogs for the money!!! there is no money to be made showing dogs...very, very few shows have money prizes. More money is spent on showing, keeping the dogs well fed & healthy, traveling, etc then is ever made******

*****Jane you are so totally misinformed and sorry but clueless/ Conformation is very important no matter if it is a show dog, hunting dog, earth dog, obedience dog, herding dog, etc... a dog with good conformation is far less likely to end up with injuries to joints & muscles because of stress to these areas then a dog with poor conformation..this is why there is a breed standard, a conformation standard..if you actually read a breed standard you will see that it takes in all aspects of a dogs anatomy, his temperament, his movement, not just bits & pieces of it..it is an entire package...it is also NOT the responsible breeders/show people that have created the problems seen in a lot of breeds (be aware these same issues are also found in mixes as well, there fore aren't limited ot just "show" purebreds) The problems you see are from irresponsible breeders, breeders who don't care about the breed who don't breed for an entire package, who don't breed to standard or for health, longevity, temperament...The dogs you used as examples are products of irresponsible breeding not from responsible show breeders, you really need to get out there and know what you are talking about, because right now you don't. A well bred Saint Bernard is defiantely not riddled with HD and is very capable of living a pretty long life...well bred terriers can certainly do what they were bred for..many hold not only conformation titles but also earth dog & hunting...you simply have absolutely no idea.
I show my dogs, my Danes not only meet breed standard and do well in conformation but also excell at obedience, rally, tracking and other venues...my husbands GSP has wonderful conformation, can hunt all day in the field (and stay sound) competes in rally & NAVHDA...I know many other dogs of various breeds that excell in the breed ring and can go out and do herding, hunting, etc Form helps function.********
Showing hasn't ruined any breeds, irresponsible breeding by people who don't breed to standard, health, longevity, temperament have.
****there is not always a winner..a judge reserves the right to not give any awards if he feels the dogs competeing aren't worthy and don't meet breed standard. I have seen this happen on several occassions and heard of it on many more, so just because there is a class at a dog show doesn't mean there wil lbe a winner or even placements.Again shows how little you really know about dog shows and the dogs in them.****
****as for color that is defiantely not the main focus of a responsible breeder..there are some colors taht aren't accepted in the show ring simply because they do carry health risks if bred irresponsible and the parent clubs by not allowing them in the show ring are trying to discourage the indeiscriminat breeding of these dogs. The parent clubs of a breed sets the standards for the breed and the judging criteria...not the AKC, UKC or CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) again something you had no clue about*******
*****Jane, let me see if I can put this in simple terms you can understand...the reason some colors in various breeds is not accepted in conformation is because if used for breeding they can cause some serious health issues.Since conformation is for selection of potential breeding dogs it is unwise to allow colors that have a known potential for health problems. The breeding of these colors is to be discouraged. Mismarks are allowed to compete in all performance venues. Color has nothing to do with performance, but it does impact breeding. Responsible breeders look at the entire picture and breed to add back to the breed that is of value in conformation, health , longevity & temperament. I've been a vet tech for 36 1/2 years, have studied genetics and have done extensive study on canine reproduction & breeding. In addition I have many years of experience with working dogs....herding & hunting as wel las competeing in obedience, rally and recently starting tracking. I've also been a dog trainer for 37 years********
