What is the BEST skin care advice that you've ever received to clear up acne? The best products, the best home remedies, the best daily activities, I want to know them all! Thanks so much to everybody in advance.

Answer
Besides washing your face morning and night (no sleeping in make-up!), toning, and moisturizing, the best advice I had was to see a dermatologist. I was given a prescription that cleared up my skin problems (acne during pregnancy) like a charm.

The best "trick" I ever heard of was for a spot treatment. Pure tea tree oil applied with a cotton swab. Hold it on the blemish until it starts to feel cold (a good 60 seconds). If you do this at night, it will dry up by morning, but the bump might still be there. Careful though, this can be very drying. Only apply it to the blemish.

What is the best skin care products for oily skin?

Amanda H

I'm about to go to the store and I want to know what skin care products work best for oily skin.
Around my mouth my skin is very dry, though, so if you know of a good moisturizer that would be great too.

Answer
Ok... I know it sounds weird... but here is my routine...

I went out and bought a cleanser that advertises that it "fights oil." I find that alot of products advertise that they "won't dry you out" and "get rid of dead skin." But I guess oily skin isn't that common, because I need some SERIOUS help. Fortunately, I don't get too many breakouts or blemishes, I get so shiny during the day, that I can wipe my fingers across my forehead, and my fingers will be shiny! I've recently been doing something odd though... but it seems to be working,

At night before bed, I just use the cleanser that I bought (I buy a different one every time, to see which one I like - but my favorite so far is Biore's "ICE CLEANSER" or "shine control" - they're in green bottles with a pump on the top). I get dry around the mouth and corners of my nose too - I just rub some moisturizer ON THOSE AREAS. Moisturizer tends to make me even more oily, and I have read online many times, that it's best to only use a minimal amount, on areas that NEED it. I've been experimenting with an uncommon product lately though. Toothpaste. Just dab it on any blemishes you may have.

BUT in the daytime, like when getting ready for work (just ONCE a day)... I wash my face with toothpaste... I know, I can picture your face. It's weird. But I suggest that you try it at least once. Just rub it on, avoiding your eyes, and try to build up a lather. Then, without water, use a small amount of your face soap and wash it off. Rinse. It is the coolest feeling ever. It makes your skin feel GREAT. Don't do it too often though, because it can dry you out too much. But seriously, even if you don't pick this as best answer TRY IT TRY IT TRY IT. It's awesome.

I've had oily skin forever. And nothing helps me. Even things like toners and astringent seem to make it worse, and I dunno why! Lemme know if it works for you too! :)

As for makeup - powder is great to eliminate shine. Also, if when you go into a bathroom, check yourself in a mirror - if you see shine building up, simply press a paper towel up to your face. LOOK AT IT. It absorbs the oil right off of your skin. This works wonders.

What was the skincare regimen that the seventeen magazine prom issue 2011 had in it?

I am signed up for the magazine but i didnt get the issue! :( i need the skin care routine they had there. does anyone know where i can find it online? cus the website didnt have it. I would also greatly appreciate if u could type the whole thing down here....if you have time on your hands. Thanks!!!! :)

Answer
You have to go out and buy the Seventeen magazine prom 2011 issue, because they don't send it to subscribers, I hope this is what you were looking for:
week 1:
*Begin a regimen- wash with a gentle cleanser morning and night, then follow with an oil free moisturizer. Keep this up everyday! try: purpose gentle cleansing wash, $6, drugstores
*Prevent Zits: If you are acne prone, apply a 2.5 percent benzoyl peroxide treatment all over your face every night. It will help prevent new zits from popping up.
*Clear up Bacne: Use a body wash with salicylic acid to exfoliate and clean out bacteria in the pores on your back and chest without overdrying your skin. try: Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash Pink Grapefruit, $7, drugstores

week 2:
*Get an allover Glow: Twice a week, replace your body wash with a grainy scrub to slough off dull skin from shoulders to toes
*Moisturize like crazy: Apply a rich body lotion every night before bed. Focus on rough spots like ankles, knees, elbows, and to get them perfectly soft by prom. try: Mark Self Sanctuary Lemon Sugar Body Butter, $8, meetmark.com
*Exfoliate right: Save the tough grains for your body and be gentle with our face. Two times a week, use a cleanser that contians glycolic and salicylic acids to shed dry, dead cells faster (so they don't clog your pores). try: Murad AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser, $35, Sephora stores
*Eat even more skin healthy foods: Vitamin E and beta-carotene give you dewy, hydrated skin from the inside out. So add lots of broccoli, apricots, and potatoes to your diet-they're loaded with nutrients.

week 3:
*draw out gunk: A clay mask acts like a vacuum to bring dirt and oil to your skin's surface so you can rinse it away. Apply the mask just once three weeks before prom to give your skin time to flush out any bacteria after you've used it. try: Freeman feeling beautiful Mint and Lemon facial clay, $4, drugstores
*Cut back on caffeine: coffee, soda, and energy drinks can dehydrate you and make skin look dull, limit to one per day.
*Prep nails: Heal rough cuticles by massaging the skin around your nails with a softening cuticle cream. try: Thymes essential cuticle cream, $10, thymes.com
*Shower fast: Limit it to 15 minutes. Hot water strips skin of its hydrating oils.

Week 4:
*Brighten up: Steam up your bathroom with a hot shower, then apply a moisturizing mask. The steam opens up your pores, so you get an extra-deep facial.
*Get smooth: Do waxing or plucking four days before prom so your skin has time to recover from any redness or irritation.
*Bronze your bod: Apply a self-tanner three days before prom (a day after you've waxed, so you won't cause blotches). Since most self tanners take a full day to develop, this gives you enough time to fix any mistakes or fill in any missed sopts. try: L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Salon Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist, $11, drugstores
*Shave carefully: Use a razor with gel bars-it lathers while protecting your skin from razor burn. try: Venus Spa Breeze 2-in-2 Razor, $11, drugstores

OMG! What to do if you get a zit... 2 weeks til prom: Apply a mask that contains sulfur to clear up the zit and any other potentially clogged pores
*1 week before: A salicylic acid spot treatment will zap it in time if you dot it on every morning and night
*3 days before: To kill bacteria fast, apply a 10% benzoyl peroxide treatment every four hours
*1 day before: Sleep with a sulfur spot treatment on to bring redness and swelling down
*the day of: Don't pick at it! Instead, go to seventeen.com/prom for tips on hiding it like a seasoned pro

There's this kiosk in my local mall that sells products made from minerals and salts from the Dead Sea. The name of it looks like two S's stacked on top of each other. and maybe two words on either side? does anyone know what i'm talking about? lol

Answer
There is a kiosk like that in the mall near me. I don't know if it is the same one you are talking about but it's call Seacret. www.seacretspa.com Go check it out. I hope this helps.

I really need some network marketing tips for the internet. How do I reach people without spamming anyone?

Humility N

I am a consultant for a very reputable company founded by very reputable people. The products are very quality skincare, makeup, and health products. I cannot seem to find the right method to reach businesses, or entrepreneurs, such as skin salons or makeup artists. Anyone have any ideas to promote this business online. All ideas are welcome. Please help me brainstorm this.

Answer
Call or visit five potential customers each day and ask them to register for your upcoming beauty news newsletter or entry into a contest for a $50 Amex gift card. That will give you up to 100 email addresses per month (1200 per year). Your mission needs to be getting sales not getting clicks on your website so make sure you have the right products at the right price at the right time. Offer samples. Let the products sell themselves. Ask if you can set up a folding table in their stores for 4 hours on one day to give samples and demonstrate your products to their customers. Create buzz. There's alot of competition in the industry. Get to know the buyers personally through frequent contact without stalking. When you see an article of interest make a copy and mail it with a little post it note saying, "thought you'd appreciate this" and sign your name and phone # or attach a business card. You may want to write an article of your own and make it look published. Relate it back to your company. Write about a new product or some kind of press release. Have you taken on any new clients worth bragging about??? Follow up with buyers... a no today could be a yes in 3 months. Get some postcards printed (vistaprint) and mail out quarterly. Your marketing efforts are tax deductible. Take a buyer to lunch once in awhile and ask about their business, trends, fears, joys, etc. Partner with comparable businesses to share leads. Talk to dermatologists and fitness clubs to get your product name to the end users who in turn will ask for your products by name. Imagine when a couple people a day go to the drug store asking for XYZ brand cosmetics??? Get your name out there. Be the "go to" person for the industry. Don't work hard... work smart.

I am moving to NYC ever soon and im moving to the upper east side and i was just wondering what kind of stores and where are these stores that you go to to buy products like shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, etc. so basically where do i shop since i do not have a walmart to go to?? and is there any way to talk what you buy back to your apartment with carrying them?? please help me.

Answer
New York City is crawling with what we call "Health And Beauty Aid" stores, chief among them being a chain called Duane Reade... they're everywhere.

Most supermarkets will deliver your groceries to your apartment for a small fee, plus a tip for the guys who bring it up to you, of course.

Good luck!... :-D

Where can I buy the entire Burt's Bee line of products?

Will P

I'm trying to find a place to get a lot of Burt's Bees stuff for my girlfriend for Christmas, and don't want to have to rely on shipping to get it here in time. I know this is last minute and probably not my best and brightest idea, but hey, we all make mistakes.

Thanks

Answer
Hey,

I'm an addict to Burt's Bees and have found that most places carry a limited number of items. If you live in NYC, the Health Nut's stores (there are about 3 that I know of on the upper East Side - 63rd and 2nd) and mid town that have a whole aisle of Burt's Bees. Also, and Ricky's NYC carries a wide range of products as well. Walgreens, Rite Aid, Eckerds, CVS have small racks with Burt's basic products. Another big outlet, a few, not all Vitamin Shoppes. Of course you can find larger selections in health beauty stores as well. Hope that helps!

My website is all about beauty and woman's health. It contains reviews of cosmetics, astro stuff and many other things that deal with women's personal development including psychology. Usually, I do not say anything about my own personal life over there. But yeah, I do mention my opinions on cosmetics stuff. Is it okay to include address of such site in the resume?

Answer
Only if you make profit on it, or it has a decent amount of followers (over 100 for sure).
If so, then you have a strong attribute to add to your resume! (:

What items to send to a black woman in a halfway house?

SabrinaM

I want to put together a care package for someone in a halfway house who has nothing and no one. She is black and I am not so I am clueless to what kInd of products to send to her. Thank you!

Answer
The skin products will vary but the hair products you have to be careful I will give you a list of what black women usually buy from the drugstore. The important ones have a star next to them. Get her some shampoo*, conditioner*, and oil moisturizer* specifically for black hair. (This is very important don't miss this at all!) Try the Organic Root Stimulator, Motions, or Pantene Relaxed & Natural Line. Make sure you get her one of those silky satin scarves*. Use Oil Of Olay or Nivea for lotion, and soap. Get her some Basis Face Cleanser*, Purpose Face Wash, or Cetaphil becuase black skin is usually very sensitive. Get her some Aveeno moisturizer for her face. Dove Clear Tone Deodorant. You should also get her a rat-tail comb*, a boars hair brush*, regular comb, and detangling comb*. You should also get her some exfoliating gloves ($2), or a bath pouf. I hope this helped.

What would be good options to lighten my black hair?

Renka

I want my black hair to turn back to brown because I originally had light brown when I was kid but then I had no idea why it got darker and thicker. So I want a complete and precise procedure(s) using natural home remedies. I don't want any bleaches and parlors. I also have heard about cinnamon, lemon, chamomile tea, honey and the like. It's just so confusing so I'd like to hear from someone else first what option/combination will work best instead of damaging my hair. You know, measurements steps and stuff. That's what I would like to hear. And yes, I go out to the sun as much as I can since it's basically summer already here. Thanks!! :)

Answer
You can do one of two things, to remove most of that dye.
1. By using Tide detergent with shampoo
Google "How to Remove Dye from Hair"

or

2. By shampooing you hair mix with a bit of Dawn.
Google "How to Use Dawn Dishwashing Liquid for Lightening Hair."

You can also use anti-dandruff shampoo, just not the conditioner.

Here's an example what hair stripping will do to your hair.

It is worst than hair dyes, one from YA! "I accidentally dyed my hair this awful black, stripped it, and now it is this crunchy crispy mess!"

Hair strippers are chemical treatments which are intended to strip out artificial color pigment with less risk or damage to the hair. The chemicals used are called reducing agents.
Certain 'metal' strippers containing sodium sulphoites are sold for reducing hair dyed with metallic dyes, as these dyes react violently with tint stripper containing hydrogen peroxide-the subsequent reaction may cause so much heat that the hair gets dissolved.

Before bottled shampoo & hair products were invented, mid 60's, in Asia, all we've ever used was a bar of soap for body, hair & laundry, for 13 years and we have healthy silky, shiny, soft, smooth hair. Just make sure you rinse well. Try that if that works better!

Google Salon Hair Dye Lawsuits. AboutAbout 91,800 results (0.23 seconds) 2-3-13.
When it comes to hair care treatments, product use or visits to a salon or spa, the consumer must take responsibility to do their homework and be aware of all the risks involved.
Vanessa Minnillo Lachey: "I dated a guy once who wanted me to have blonde hair. Clearly, he was the wrong guy for me! I went to a lady who bleached my hair and it literally fell out. So, not only did I go back to my natural hair, I broke up with the guy!"
Bad Hair Habit: Stripping Out Hair Dye
Smart hair care includes what not to do. If you have a change of heart after you dye your hair a dark shade, stripping out the color will open the cuticle so much that it won't lie as flat as before, says Kim Steckbeck, master stylist at Studio 21 hair salon in Woodstock, Ga. The result is hair damage with dry, brittle, frizzy tresses. "Black is the hardest to remove," she says. "It typically must be done with bleach. This leaves unwanted tones in the hair. Then, you must recolor to a desirable shade. This is very stressful on the hair."

Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.
> > > Hair dye chemicals linked to cancer
London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 22 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <

I've used Proactive and it doesn't seem to work for me. What are the best skin care lines to clear up acne?

TOYE P

I've used Proactive and it doesn't seem to work for me. What are the best skin care lines to clear up acne? My skin is a combination between oily and dry. Please give me some recommendations.

Answer
Acne Rid or remove

STOP popping the spots, also known as pimples and zits. This may make the pimple look worse due to inflammation and irritation. Popping a zit can spread infection under the skin and produce even more pimples than before. If you do pop a spot then immediately clean it with soap and water or rubbing alcohol in order to prevent infection. If a pimple erupts in a particularly bothersome place, learn how to target a single pimple. And if you're determined to pop, learn how to pop a pimple safely and properly. If you do pop a pimple and you want to avoid anything resembling Western medicine, one thing to try is put a mixture of honey and ground cinnamon on the spot. Put a band-aid on it also. You may also want to stay away from stress.

Remove any make-up you have on. Wearing make-up can clog pores, making them dirty and causing pimples. Also try to wear oil-free makeup (if you have oily skin) or a medicated makeup.

Use a mild soap for sensitive skin but it doesn't matter exactly what type of soap you use. It can be designed for acne-prone skin or not, but you will want to treat your skin gently. Harsh antibacterial soap may actually make your acne worse by irritating skin.

Remove dead skin cells regularly by exfoliating. Use a gentle scrub with natural defoliants like ground walnut shells, or use an over-the-counter chemical defoliant like salicylic acid or glycolic acid. Adding ground walnut shell to a thick moisturizer like cocoa butter can be effective too. Take caution, because over-exfoliating can actually increase the likelihood of acne by irritating the skin. Pat dry, rather than rubbing, since rubbing can cause irritation to the fresh skin you've just revealed.

Use a good toner. Spray onto face or wipe on with a cotton ball and wipe off with a clean, dry cotton ball. This gets rid of excess cleanser and tightens pores. Good, inexpensive choices include plain witch hazel for normal to dry skin, lemon juice, or 3% hydrogen peroxide for oily skin. 70% ethyl rubbing alcohol can also be used for severe oiliness, but it can really dry out your skin and irritate it more. Some toners are medicated, and this stage is the best for using a medicated product if you're only going to use one medication.

Bacteria in pores is one cause of spots. Reduce the amount of bacteria by using toners containing anti-bacterial agents like alcohol, peroxide and benzalkonium chloride, and by using creams that contain benzoyl peroxide (ask your doctor about benzaclin, with moisturizer if you have dry skin, as it works better than just plain benzoyl because benzoyl takes up to 8 weeks before improvement is seen) which kill bacteria as well as cause the skin to regenerate faster.

Maintain a routine. Most acne treatments take time to work. It usually takes between two and eight weeks before you see any significant improvement, so you are going to have to be patient. Once you've gotten your acne cleared up, it's important to continue with the treatment that's working so it does not return.

If all else fails, contact a doctor. Mild antibiotics that are available only by prescription can help reduce acne. Keep in mind though, that the widespread overuse (taking antibiotics when you really don't need them or for something they don't treat) and misuse (not taking medication for the specified amount of time) of antibiotics has led to the development of multiple antibiotic resistant bacteria. That means that the antibiotics won't work for the things they used to (including your acne).

Keep hair off of your face if at all possible. If you want to keep your bangs, then consider taking showers regularly or keeping your forehead clean with oil-dabbing cloths / clean tissues / etc.

Get good sleep. Stress increases your skin's oiliness, which, combined with sweat and dirt, can clog pores and cause pimples. (Change your pillowcase frequently.)

Acne medications may cause your skin to initially break out worse than before because all FDA-approved acne medications (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and sulfur) are causing your skin to regenerate faster. This brings existing acne pimples already under your skin (but not visible yet) to the surface, which in turn causes a massive but fortunately temporary break out. Give the medications time to work -- about one to two weeks -- and you will notice a big difference in the quality of your skin.

See a dermatologist if over the counter remedies do not work. They specialize in skin care and can prescribe you medicines that help you improve it.

Drink plenty of water. Staying well hydrated can help your condition improve, because the "waste management" control system in your body requires a lot of water to do its job. Without enough water, the body has difficulty removing some waste products efficiently.

Look for face washes which contain the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide. This is the key ingredient in some of the best face washes. use

Answer
The fastest healthy way is to 1) change your diet, 2) workout with weights 3 times a week, and 3) do cardio in your target heart rate zone for at least 20 minutes twice a week or more.

A few notes:
1) Change your diet means cut out processed foods and refined sugar. Cut out salt. And drink plenty of water. No more soda or sugary drinks. No more white bread or white rice. You want wholoe foods. Try to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day of healthy food. This keeps speeds up the metabolism.

2) You can't spot reduce fat so working out the whole body causes muscles to grow and burn fat. The more muscles you work the more fat gets burned.

3) You may want to consider using a heart rate monitor. Or you can simply work hard enough that you stay winded and breaka good sweat.

Also, drink at least 8oz of water for every hour you are awake. Drink a cup or two of green tea every day. Green tea is supposed to help burn fat too.

Get 8 hours of sleep every day. Sleep and rest between strength workouts is important.

Good luck. Give this rouitine 4 to 6 weeks before you notice the changes in your whole body.

My wife is doing this and I'm alread starting to see changes after 3 weeks. She also get lots of good tips from Women's Health Magazine. Remember, if you get fit the right way you will create a lifestyle that you can maintain for a lifetime. Short cuts will come back to haunt you eventually. Good luck.

Answer
Living the life the best you can be without any regrets.
Learning from your past mistakes and gained maturity from that experience.
Hold unto your precious memories.
Family and friends are the most important ones.
Materialism doesnât bring you happiness.

Treat others with respect and kindness that is the golden rule.

Something we Learn

Arne Garbog

I've learnt that you cannot make someone love you,
All you can do is be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.

I've learnt that no matter how much I care,
Some people just don't care too much about it.
I've learnt that it takes years to build up trust,
And only seconds to destroy it.

I've learnt that it's not what you have in your life,
But who you have in your life that counts.

I've learnt that you can do something in an instant,
That will give you a heartache for life.

I've learnt that no matter how thin you slice it,
There are always two sides.

I've learnt that you should always leave loved ones with
loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I've learnt that we are responsible for what we do,
No matter how we feel.

I've learnt that there are people who love you dearly,
But just don't know how to show it.

I've learnt that true friendship continues to grow,
Even over the longest distance.
And the same goes very much for true love as well.

I've learnt that just because someone doesn't love you
the way you want them to,
Doesn't mean they don't love you at all.

I've learnt that maturity has more to do with what
types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them,
And less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learnt that no matter how good a friend someone is,
They're going to hurt you every once in a while
And you must forgive them for that.

I've learnt that no matter how bad your heart is broken
The world doesn't stop for your grief.

I've learnt that just because two people argue,
It doesn't mean they don't love each other.
Similarly, just because they don't argue,
It doesn't mean they do.

I've learnt that we don't have to change friends
If we understand that friends change.

I've learnt that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a
secret. For it could change your life forever.

I've learnt that no matter how many friends you have,
If you are their pillar,
You will feel lonely
And lost at the times you need them most.

I've learnt that the people you care most about in life
Are taken from you too soon.

"I love you" can have many different meanings,
It loses value when overly used.

I've learnt that love is not for me to keep,
But to pass on to the next person I see.
I've learnt that even when I have pains,
I don't have to be one.

It is said that for money you can have everything, but you
cannot.

You can buy food, but not appetite;

Servants, but not faithfulness;
Leisure, but not peace.

Im 20 years old for the past couple days iv been feeling tired almost week. And in evenings after long day it feels lik im nervous or butterlies also my face is breaking out wit pimples. Wats rong? ?

Answer
Sounds like a classic case of an OVERACID tummy. Quick, chew a
couple of Tums antiacid tablets. If not at hand use the 1920s trick of
putting a pinch of Soda (bicarb) on your tongue and washing it down
with a swallow of water. The soda neutralizes the acid and the water
dilutes it. I like the Walmart's tablets, peppermint, 150 for $2.
I chew a 'tums' each night after brushing my teeth. It does double duty.
It helps with bad mouth acids/cavities and keeps my tummy from
growling in the night.
Pepto Bismol is an old remedy. Not much used these days.

For Acne see all the answers in the Skin care section.
I have some there.

Why do people go tanning?

3 things:
1. You don't look any better with a tan than you do natural, no matter how much you try to convince yourself
2. In 10 years you will look like a wrinkly old person
3. Do you not care about your health?
So why do people go tanning?

Answer
First off, i know this is long but this is the answer to your question:

in the 1920s, Coco Chanel accidentally got sunburnt while visiting the French Riviera. Her fans apparently liked the look and started to adopt darker skin tones themselves. Tanned skin became a trend partly because of Cocoâs status and the longing for her lifestyle by other members of society.

In addition, Parisians fell in love with Josephine Baker, a âcaramel-skinnedâ singer in Paris. Those who liked and idolized her wanted darker skin so they could be more like her. These two French women were two trendsetters of the transformation of tanned skin being viewed as fashionable, healthy, and luxurious, but not by the whole population.

In the 1940s, advertisements started appearing in womenâs magazines which encouraged sun bathing. At this time, swimsuits' skin coverage began decreasing, with the bikini making its appearance in 1946.

by the way, to that one person that says it makes you look orange, that's NOT from the sun.
That's them using self-tanners or tanning beds.
The natural sun will NOT make you orange.

Is it the landlords responsibility to take care of bed bugs?

Is it the landlords responsibility to take care of bed bugs when it is the tenants who have brought them into an apartment. This is in Medford Massachusetts. Most likely brought into the apartment by people who might have been living there without actually being part of the lease.

Answer
The landlord will be responsible for spraying for pests. He or she is not responsible for replacing your bed or removing the bugs from your bed. Bed bugs eat dried flaked off skin. They will, when there are enough, climb on top of you at night and start eating, just like mesquito's do.

The best way to get rid of them is to remove your matress and discard (not at your apartment dump--then clean your car with shampoo and pest spray. Have the apartment sprayed before buying a new mattress. Bed bugs can travel, so other beds are probably infected, and you will have to make a call as to whether to replace all matresses or just one. You probably don't have to wash closet clothes--but I'm sure you will. You definetly need to wash sheets and shampoo carpet before new beds. Even if you land lord won't shampoo the carpet, they can probably arrange for an agency for about 40-60 dollars to do it for you (don't bother renting as it's about the same price and better results).

Bed bugs lay eggs so there some effort to all of this. Also eggs take 10 days to hatch, so you'll have to decide how badly you want them gone, but if you are willing to sleep on the floor and simply do a few shampooings you'll be ok as well.

Finally, I would recommend paying for a professional to help get rid of bed bugs. Your landlord is responsible for pest infestations, so then can assist with a number of issues. As for the bed--and laundry work, and shampoos, you're on your own.

The specific laws on the seriousness depends on the location. In NYC, there is a special unit in the health deparment that handles bed bug complaints in apartments. This is a tough law, with tougher enforcement, and steep fines, including the ability of the state to shut down the apartment complex.

Does a health care worker's client need to disclose whether or not they have herpes?

Minnie

If you are hired without any clinical training to among other things, bathe (intimately) and clean a person (again, intimately) after they've used the toilet, for your protection, are they legally obligated by law in NYC to tell you if they have herpes?

Answer
You're not going to get herpes by doing those activities. Herpes is passed through skin contact like kissing and sexual activity.
No they are not legally obligated to tell you that they have herpes, unless you are planning on getting intimate with them.
If you're that paranoid about it though you may want to use gloves.

I'm seriously considering buying a pug dog. They've been my favorite breed for a long time now, so I'm trying to get as much information as possible on them.

Ups? Downs? Costs? Life span? Good names?
I live in the Southern Californian desert around Palm Springs. Would even the inside day heat (which is seldom under 85*F) be bad for him?

As much as you can possibly give a potential owner.

Answer
I own a pug and he is the sweetest little dog I have ever had! His name is Rufus and he is 1 year old, I have had him since he was 8 weeks. They are so full of character and they really are full of attitude!

If you like a dog that will cheer you up after a horrible day and put a smile of your face, a pug is certainly the right choice! They are so full of their own importance you can't help but laugh at them.

As far as expenses go, theres the routine vet visits including jabs, microchipping, worming, flea treatments etc that come with any dog which don't cost too much. Then theres food; to feed a high quality dog food can be expensive but is well worth it in the long run. However, i must warn that pugs are prone to many illnesses and can cost an awful lot at the vets if they require treatments. My dog suffers quite badly with his skin which is finally getting under control but I haves spent roughly £1000 in vet bills in one year alone.

You must be careful in the heat with a pug (and the cold too) as they are very sensitive and can find it hard to cope due to their poor beathing.

You also need to take into consideration castrating your dog (£100 upwards) and grooming costs, plus the time and effort you must put into cleaning the fold across the face and proper care of eyes and ears to prevent infections.

All that said, they are worth every penny and every bit of efforgt!

My freind is to be engaged to a man who is a close match but unfortunately has brown tooth in front?

Some research shows that it is a routine and affordable treament at the local dentists. But it seems tha the man is pretty comfortable with his medal and telling him to get it cleaned up may hurt his feelings. What is a good way to point it to him? He is studying towards a Hospitality program so this may be used to guide him as an important aspect.

Answer
If he's a hospitality major, a brown tooth may hurt his career because he has to interact with people constantly and people may be really put off by it. I know that people say, "beauty is only skin deep" and "don't try to change people" and that's absolutely true, but that doesn't mean looks are not important in your career. If you have bad dental health or don't take care of your appearance, people are going to think that he doesn't care what he looks like or that he doesn't care about his hygiene and they'll alienate him. That's just how people are, unfortunately.

That being said, he may be upset if you say something to him. I would take the concerned approach. Catch him alone and say something along the lines of, "I noticed your tooth and I'm really concerned that something might be wrong. Did you have a dentist look at it?" Act like, "oh no what if you need a root canal" or something. Even if he says that there's nothing wrong, he'll realized that people are noticing and may decide to fix it. As harsh as it sounds, its WAY better for a friend to say something than an employer or co-worker.

PS - He may be more comfortable if his finance talked to him about it. Maybe express your concern to her instead.

Is going gluten free beneficial for people who are not diagnosed with gluten intolerance? How do you do it?

Q. Honestly i do not know if i am or not..i am probably not but i would like to try it just to try it and see if it helps any of my existing health issues. How do you go "gluten free" i already know a good beauty line that is gluten free, but what foods am i safe to eat?

Answer
First, I would really, really recommend that you get tested for celiac disease first, before you try a gluten free diet. This is the auto-immune disease that is triggered by gluten and it needs a blood test to diagnose. However, IF you have this disease, the test only looks for the antibodies your body makes to attack you. If you stop eating gluten, you stop making such high levels of these anti-bodies and you test negative, EVEN IF you have the disease.

Unfortunately, the test is not sensitive, so if you go gluten free, have this disease and don't know it, and start to heal? You have to start eating gluten and damage yourself to the point that you test positive again, usually eating gluten for 1-2 months in order to do this. So seriously, it's easier to get this test done before you do a GF trial diet, especially as celiac disease can require more care after diagnosis than gluten intolerance does.

Based on estimates from studies that randomly tested thousands of individuals, there are about 3 1/2 million celiacs in the USA. Based on doctor's records, about 1/2 million celiacs have been diagnosed. So there's 3 million of us out there who don't know it.

Gluten intolerance, doctors don't even know how prevalent it is, but doctors think it may be higher numbers than celiacs.

So you definitely could have gluten intolerance or celiac disease and not have been diagnosed. This is a great list of 300 symptoms celiacs can have (most jus have a few): http://glutenfreeworks.com/gluten-disorders/celiac-disease/symptom-guide/

As to what to eat: for a trial diet, I'd honestly go the healthiest, cheapest way to do this.
Eat meat, fruits, veggies, plain nuts and seeds and beans (check to make sure not processed with wheat). Dairy if you feel up to it (many celiacs are a bit lactose intolerant due to the damage.). Corn masa and rice are easy grains to use for the first few weeks - there are many more that you can invest in later. Popcorn's good, sorbet is usually good, as are many ice creams, if you're looking for dessert.

Make it all from scratch, add a couple bottles of GF salad dressing and soy sauce, and you have plenty to start things off with.

Is there anything that makes you hair grow faster, and healthier?

beauty and health tips for men image

Jordan

I always ask all these people how their hair grows so fast, and they dye it and cut it all the time. They always reply to me saying; I have a special shampoo, or a remedy.
Is there any specific shampoos or anything?

Answer
There is no sure fire way to make your hair grow faster, there aren't any magic potions that will help you - just nature with a friendly boost.

2

MAINTAIN A HEALTHY DIET. This is the foundation to having healthy hair (and healthy anything else). This means eating balanced meals with plenty of protein and iron (two of the buildings blocks for hair growth). You will also want to exercise regularly to increase your body's blood flow.

3

TAKE A DAILY MULTI-VITAMIN. This will assist in keeping your body balanced and replenish any vitamins that you aren't receiving from eating. One of the first things to suffer from a poor diet is your hair. Take, for example, people with eating disorders - they tend to always have thinning, weak, and very unhealthy hair because the body is saving the nutrients for more important tasks.

4

DO NOT WASH YOUR HAIR EVERYDAY. For some odd reason, people have been fooled into believing that you need to wash your hair everyday, and that is unhygienic to do otherwise - simply not true.

The natural oils in your hair are a vital part of protecting it and keeping it strong and healthy. If you wash these oils away with harsh shampoos(which is most of them), you leave your hair vulnerable to pollution, heat damage, and any other daily stresses that can do damage.

5

INVEST IN "NO POO" SHAMPOOS. Normal shampoos can actually be very damaging to your hair, especially if you already have dry or damaged hair. Try a shampoo that doesn't have all the chemicals, try something from the DevaConcepts line.

Most shampoos contain Alcohol, isopropyl, which dries out hair, Propylene glycol and butylene glycol, which are petroleum plastics, and Sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate, which are detergents.

Deva products are 100% sulfate free and botanically infused with natural moisturizers.

6

TREAT YOUR HAIR LIKE A FRIEND. One of the biggest mistakes in hair care is treating your hair like its invincible.

Try not to use heat styles too often - excessive straightening and blow drying will damage your hair, no matter how amazing the flat iron is.

But all the while, do invest in a good flat iron, it can do LESS damage than a cheap one. I suggest the GHD or the Chi.

7

TREAT YOUR HAIR LIKE A FRIEND #2.

Avoid tying your hair in tight hair ties or corn rows - this can stress your hair and cause breakage. Try loose braids instead.

Especially for dry hair, try wrapping it in a silk cloth before going to bed, or invest in silk or satin pillow cases - your hair can snag on cotton and the cotton also dries out your hair.

8

START WITH THE ROOTS. You can't have healthy growth if you don't have healthy roots.

Massage your scalp to increase blood flow.

Avoid styling that involves pulling your hair at the roots.

Keep your scalp clean and moisturized (this means lay off of the excessive hair products).

9

REDUCE BREAKAGE. Often enough, your hair could be growing quickly but you'd never know if it keeps breaking off.

If you have split ends, make sure you get rid of them - trim your hair every few weeks. this also applies to damaged ends.

Always take time to detangle - use a wide toothed comb and start and the end of the hairs and slowly work your way up to your scalp.

Are penis enlarger pills good for a 17 year old?

Vaas

So Ive been having a problem during sex with my girlfriend... I can't seem to stay hard to get inside her. I don't know what much to do about it, its not the first time this happened.

I get turned on doing everything prior to insertion but the moment i get out a condom and try to put it on i go soft.. Its embarrassing. I don't want this to keep happening, and i don't know why it happens. So Ive been thinking penis enlargement pills or something along the lines of Viagra or something.

Id hate to resort to that but right now tips would help too. Please help.
Yes I am implying something like viagra because it would keep me hard for her, and hopefully to put a condom on which is my main issue. Every time i try i get soft. Its the most frustrating and embarrassing thing. I can last a really long time too but i can hardly show her that because i cant stay hard. I always manage to please her though by fingering her.

How to get a flawless skin on face and body? Skincare and makeup without buying extra skin care products?

I have super oily skin, and in some mirrors my face looks rough and my skin gets oily every 1/2 hour. Anything I can do without buying any extra skin care products, (I was told not to or else my severe acne would come back). But acne is not a problem though, my skin is fine. Plus, I'm kinda insecure about my skin when I'm out in the sun and under flourescent light. I want my skin face and body skin to look flawless. Smooth, beautiful skin.

Answer
Have you tried Nerium? It's an all natural organic night cream. It makes your face very smooth! Some people saw results in 5 days but to really make your face flawless, reduce any wrinkles or dark spots, I would use it for 30 days. If you research this cream, the results are remarkable and especially since the ingredients are organic (all natural!). Let me know if you have questions. I can provide you with more information. Hope this helps!

I want a sew in but I have short hair with a shaved back. How many packs of ocean wave remy hair do I need?

Answer
Save your money, doing it yourself or the salon, I still DO NOT recommend them.
Getting extensions are not that easy, like buying shoes. AND if you have problem styling your own hair, add hair extensions to the formula, it will be even harder to style when you have them.

People waste tons of money on extensions because it's the new trend. Without doing much research.

HAIR WEAVES & BRAIDS: Some hairstyles, including tight braids and weaves, may increase the risk of developing an irreversible form of scarring hair loss, according to a new study in the Archives of Dermatology.
Seen predominately in African-American women, this type of hair loss, central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia, centers on the vertex (crown) of the scalp and spreads peripherally.
âAny style that causes too much tension and traction on the hair, such as braiding with artificial hair weaved in, can possibly lead to scarring hair loss,â says study author Angela Kyei, MD, a dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
In the study, 326 African-American women answered questionnaires about their hair-grooming methods, health status, and other demographic information. Dermatologists then performed a scalp examination to grade hair loss.
Nearly 60% of the women showed signs of advanced central hair loss with scarring. The women were also more likely to have type 2 diabetes and bacterial scalp infections, and sport hair styles associated with traction, including braids and weaves, the study showed.
âBut hair loss is permanent, meaning that we can inject steroids or creams but it won't bring your hair back, so itâs very important to seek help with dermatologists early on,â she says.

EXAMPLES OF WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT their HAIR EXTENSIONS
well on friday i got synthetic extensions, and they dont curl very well, so i was wondering if i plaited them and left them over night would they go crinkly and mix in with my real hair
because theyre fake i dont know if i can actually style them very well, which is annoying!
+they are starting too get ratty, any tips on how to take care of them ?
thanks!

And another ex:
I have sewn in hair extensions. My natural hair is neck-length, and these extensions are down to my chest. They're sewn in (if you didn't already know) with black tracks, while the hair is my natural hair colour: brown. But I want to have it up in a high-ish ponytail. But, obviously, the tracks are really obvious. How can I make them less obvious?
I hate having to have my hair down all the time. I've always wanted it, but now I'm getting bored. :/

One more ex:
I removed my hair extensions yesterday after 4 months. My hair is really thin does any1 no any good products to thicken it?

And another ex:
i bought 100 dollars clip in 100% human hair extensions and it hurts and pulls my hair. u shud just wait til it grows out. my hair was real short and i wanted extensions real bad and now i feel bad wasting 100 bucks on that where i cud of spent it on clothes or sumother beauty thing. ur not going to wear them after a while cuz u get annoyed having to keep clipping them in and all or whateever kind of extensions ur getting.

Another extensions, hers cost $600:
I got the pure extensions on Thursday their the ones the get put in your using a little barrel and clamping it shut . My coworker put them in as kind of practice since were both new to it but now they are hurting me really bad I have thick hair so she put a lot of rows in and the back of my head is so sore ! I want to take them out but don't want to because I spent 600 dollars on them . Is this normal or did she maybe put them in rong ?

This one says it all:
i have had hair extensions done in a hairdressers in melton mowbray 3weeks ago. i have been told they are 100% real hair but they look terrible,it looks like i have been back-combing it. if i curl them it just goes frizzy and if i straighten them it also goes very frizzy with the back-coming look. i have bought all the products that was advised and i have looked after them the way i was told to. i have had hair extensions before and they were lovely, i had no problems. i have been back 2 times to the hairdressers for help and advise and i was told that the hair is rubbing on my shoulders which is giving the back-combing look (my shoulders are not that big). i am now asking for my money back and the hair taken out but they are refusing. i have spoke to the hairdressing federation and they told me to call trading standards, they said to get them tested but i do not know where to send them. thanks for any help.

What is the importance of the consideration of culture?

Erin

What is the importance of the consideration of culture?

Answer
Culture is a central component of cross-culturally competent evaluations, yet rarely is it defined. Evaluators with little or no proï¬ciency in cross-cultural competency tend to use the term interchangeably with race and ethnicity. Consequently, they may ignore the cultures of people of a certain sexual orientation, generation, income level or religion

Culture comes in many forms and shapes that are constantly evolving. One way of thinking about culture is as âan iceberg sticking out of the ocean.â At the tip of the iceberg, visible above sea level, are relatively obvious forms of culture, such as music, dance, food, clothing, language, skin color, celebrations and art. These forms are more easily recognized and understood by someone outside the culture. They produce few misunderstandings between people in and outside the culture.

Right beneath the sea level are less obvious forms of culture, such as religion, history, rituals related to birth and death, social class, concepts of beauty, patterns of superior and subordinate relationships, rites of passage, body language and use of leisure time. These forms may become apparent to the outsider who asks the right questions, listens carefully and pays close attention to non-verbal cues. If misunderstood, negative feelings between people in and outside the culture could result.

Even deeper in the ocean are forms of culture that require extensive inquiry and observation for the outsider to understand, such as the meaning of community, concept of space and time, logic, notions of leadership, patterns of decisionmaking, beliefs about health, help-seeking behavior, notions of individualism versus collectivism, attitudes toward the elderly and approaches to problem-solving. These manifestations of culture are typically learned through modeling, usually at an early age. When the norms are violated, they could seriously harm relationships and cause adverse consequences for the people involved.
