How do you completely bleach your hair at hair dresser?

This might be an odd question! My hair is naturally strawberry blonde, I went to my previous hair stylist and she got my hair a good blonde. I then decided to go brunette. During the last few years, my hair has became so damaged from heat and coloring. I've changed hair stylist to help get my hair back to healthy. I've since been using a lot less heat and my hair has been breaking less and getting longer. About a year ago I started trying to start my process to go bleach blonde. But of course in a healthier way. It however has NOT worked. I go back about every 2 months, and my hair always ends up with my natural orange tint. We are paying a lot of money for this blonde hair and I just want it to be light blonde already. My hair stylist has been putting heavy bleach highlights on. (she can't but the bleach on the full head yet) The last time I went we tried a toner. What can we possibly try that wont completely damage my hair?! Thanks for all your help!!!

Overlapping dye onto previously colored hair is what creates dullness and dryness. If you color your hair @ home or @ the salon, let your roots grow out as long as you can stand, so the line of demarcation is easier to spot. Only run color through the lengths for five minutes to refresh the ends. To extend the time between touch-ups, use a gloss and deep -conditioning treatments. They will help smooth cuticles roughed up by daily wear & tear, and the hair will look shinier. ~ Harry Josh, hairstylist of the celebrities.

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time.

What Color Should I Dye My Hair And What Brand?
Rachel
So I'm dying my hair an unnatural color for the summer and originally was planning to dye it a bright fire truck red. I'm dying it today or Tomorrow and I'm in between the colors red teal or lilac. I have dark brown hair (I am bleaching) dark brown eyes and a medium skin tone. What color do you think would look best for me and what brand do you recommend ? Thanks so much if you answered!! Have a nice summer!
Answer
Dyeing your hair in the summer is the worst thing that could happen to your hair: Chlorine, the sun, all fades the dye faster and the sun causing your hair to get sunburned more.
Red, white & blue, it will go well for the Fourth!

How To Go About Getting My Skin Evaluated & Put On a Good Face Regimen?

should I go to a medical day spa?
dermatologist?
a place like ulta?
Where is the best place to go to get help with my skin care regimen, makeup etc.
Recently my skin just looks dry and dull. Who would best help with skin advice?
I hate to go to the dermatologist (no insurance) :(
Answer
Unless you have a serious medical condition pertaining to your skin you would need to see a dermatologist.
This would be things like uncontrollable acne, eczema, etc.
A medical day spa could be pricey which would be a great investment for skincare but not necessarily for one facial.
A simple trip to a store like ULTA would do the trick!
If you feel the need for 'trained professional' help then you could make an appointment with the skin therapist.
Skin therapist are licensed esteticans, at least at ULTA, and would be able to suggest the products you need.
You could get assistance with make up, either from the skin therapist or their trained prestiage consultants.

Does this sound like a good skin care regimen?
QueenOfNoW
1.500 mg vitamin c pill.
2. Clean and Clear scrub,cleanser,toner.
3.Garnier Light Cream
Does sound like a good skin care regimen?
Answer
Don't use a cleanser (exfoliant) every day if it's just a face wash, sure.
It sounds good - skin care is so individual the best advice is a solid face wash, toner and natural cream - (no mineral oils).
Vitamins a e and c are all good for clear skin.

How to get new skin care line in retail stores?
That
How can a start-up get its skin care line in retail stores?
I am in the research phase on how to get a start-up skin care line in traditional brick and mortal retail stores and have a few questions from people that have done this:
1) Do companies usually work directly with distributors or have independent road reps?
2) Are there any companies or agencies that people would recommend for either?
3) What is the percentage range that either generally earns?
4) What is normally used to "pitch" retailers (samples, lookbook of products, etc.)?
Answer
15 yrs ago, the answer[s] would have been "easier" as fewer options existed to do what you want.
Today, one effective method would be--
have a testing session or event--invite 100 of your TARGET MARKET [intended customers]
and see what they say. Have a formal survey available that you make up. YOU want to ask IN WRITING,
what they liked, or loved, and DISLIKED, if anything, and what price range this product normally sells for.
and what the container could look like to excite your intended market.
When you have finished this survey and testing, you can deduce whether you want to immediately
take it to small retail shops or go direct to the "big box retailers." I would NOT advise
approaching both big box retailers AND specialty retailers in the same year.
Take those results and put them on the Twitters and Facebooks and see what those subscribers say.
Keep me attuned if you wish

How do you feel about your stretch marks and post baby body?
coco
I LOVE MY BODY!!! I feel as if my stretch marks are a symbol of my daughter and that she was a healthy baby. I used to be bothered by them. Now, I feel very confident. I embrace what I was given and what I was blessed with. My husband tells me that they are another part of me. I think they are beautiful for they are from my beautiful daughter.
If you could go back, would you wish you did not have them?
Does your spouse care if you are covered in stretch marks?
Are you just as confident about your body?
Answer
Ah I'm glad someone else has said this!
I really don't care about what has happened to my body.
I'm 20 and before my baby I had a pretty good figure (I can say that now as it's in hindsight lol!) - slim and toned and not a stretchmark in sight!
Now I think I have the body of a 50 year old lol! My skin is loose and saggy, belly is wrinkly, I have stretchmarks covering every inch of skin. I have a muffin top waist and saggy boobs! I have had to buy an entire new wardrobe of clothes because none of my pre-pregnancy ones fit.
But, here I declare, I AM HAPPY!
It kind of annoys me how many people you hear going on about stretchmarks etc. HOW can they care when they've just had a baby?! My son is the most wonderful thing to ever happen to me and as you so rightly said, every mark on my skin is a symbol of him. Okay if someone is overweight then it is fair for them to be concerned as that is a health and comfort issue. But just a few extra lbs and stretchmarks and sagginess? Who cares! People should stop being so shallow!
Also, I'll just add, I'm single, so if I ever want a relationship again I have the issue of meeting someone new and introducing him to "the body" lol. And a lot of guys in their 20's would still expect a woman my age to have a pretty decent body. But, still, I DON'T CARE! A lot of these women you hear moaning on are happily married and don't have that issue to worry about. I do, but I can accept it, because my son makes up for everything ten fold! I wear my stretchmarks as a badge of honour!
Edit: Haha, ooh the thumbs down police are out today! Funny, all I said is basically, "I care more about my baby than my body" and THAT many people disagree with me. Seem to me that there are a lot of guilty mums out there who have their priorities just a tad wrong!

Beauty School?! Esthetician?

thegirlyou
Hello! : ) I have been seriously considering becoming an esthetician (skin care therapist) for quite some time now. However, I have been exploring and visiting the schools near me in order to make the best decision for my beauty education (I plan to visit each of them), but I am having a tough time. It is difficult for me to decide whether I should attend a "franchise" school or a smaller and local boutique schools..not to mention choosing among all the schools in each of those categories.
The schools near me that teach esthetics are:
Empire Beauty School
Paul Mitchell the School
Salon Professional Academy
Georgia Career Institute
Genesis Career College
Tennessee Technology Center (a community college-like atmosphere)
AND 3 smaller, boutique-like schools (I won't list their names).
I live in Nashville. The average cost for an esthetics education here (750 hours) is around the $10,000 range. I am seriously concerned that I will just blow my money on one of these schools and receive a shabby education. Does anyone have any experience as a student or instructor at any of those schools? Any insight from past or present estheticians or others working in the cosmetology (beauty) industry is highly appreciated!!!!

I don't live in your state, so I can't get specific. But, you should look for a school that is accredited. If a school is accredited, you can get a student loan and you can assume that the course work meets certain standards. Also find a school that works on the general public. Some of your tuition is earned that way and it gives you better experience. You could go visit high-end salons in Nashville and ask the managers and stylists what they think. They know what kind of graduates each school puts out; they've worked with them over the years.

Serious Question about inspiring female black country artist...?
Carl
This question is to true country music fans. What is your advice and suggestions for a black female country artist to become big? Shes a great country singer, great guitar player, has great personality. Young 25 years old from nashville. Shes not twangy so her style is believable and kind of matches her "expectation of color." Knowing how country fans are leery about any black country artist how can one be accepted? Should they come off more honkey tonk style, or more modern day style? Should they âactâ country, or act country but yet soulful? This girl has talent. I can see her crossing over and bringing in a new demographic of people. Is it possible for her to be a big country star!
Answer
My first and biggest suggestion is to NOT "ACT' anything. If she is a true country artist, it will show through but she should e true to who she is. You say she is not 'twangy' as if that is a bad thing; it isn't and country fans are NOT leery of black country artists at all! We don't care what your skin color or nationality is, what we do care about is the music. I personally love 'country blues' I'd suggest she educate herself as to where country music comes from historically, listen to the classic old school artists, many of whom crossed the bridge as you say and work her way up. You'll find that the artists that have longevity are the ones who sang about events that speak to everyone and stand the test of time, lyrically. Performing to a broad audience of all ages would e a step in the right direction. If she chooses to adapt to what Nashville puts out today, odds are she will be here to day and gone tomorrow because that's the world we live in....sales, sales, sales. Great for the business but not for the artist

How many plain black tops/blouses should I buy for my work experience?

I am starting my work experience at Savers (Health and Beauty shop) on monday and was told to wear black. I want to know how many should I get and what days should I change a top in rotation when wearing at the work experience.
Answer
If you work 5 days a week, I would probably get 7-8, just so you're not wearing the same thing every week. Maybe 5-6 dressy tops and a few more casual ones, possibly for casual Fridays.. :) You can find nice shirts for decent prices at Target, Kohls, amazon.com, forever21.com, Macys, JC Penny. Hope this helps!

How to cover up a dark beauty mark right below my eye?
glamourous
I have a pretty big dark brown beauty mark right below my eye, and i hate it. Some of you are going to say embrace it, but I want it gone. I've tried concealer and foundation, but nothing covers it up! I can't get surgery to remove it. Please help with any tips and tricks you may have! Thanks.
Answer
There were totally 15 moles / black spots on my face and body before, I tried this mole remover and most of my moles were gone right now. But please pay attention, donât over use in order to avoid getting scar. Hope it works for you too.
For more information, please see the following using methods, it is very useful for unwanted moles, beauty marks, black spots.
BRAND NEW DIY MOLE VANISH WART REMOVER
10 ML Skin Care non-Laser Removal
Usage:
(1) Clean the nevus and the area around it, use a toothpick (do not use a cotton stick to tip or wipe) to mix the liquid and sediment, and then tip a little amount of the mole remover and apply it onto the middle of the nevus. The area would turn to white colour after 1 minute. Use alcohol or water to clean the mole area after 10 minutes (If you tip the amount of mole remover properly, you don't have to clean). The mole would peel off (May help with finger) in 8 to 20 days. Repeat the process again until the mole peeling off if the colour of the nevus is dark. (it is suggested applying the liquid to nevus on hands or legs first to see the results and learn to control the usage before applying the liquid to other areas of the body, DON'T TRY on FACE for the first time!)

If not is there any skin discoloration products available and safe to use during pregnancy? Is there places I can use it and places on the body I shouldn't use it? Is some of Ambi products safe to use and some not safe to use?
Answer
Well first off congrats! You know I am also pregnant and I have used Ambi before. Now if I were you I would be a conscience about using Ambi creams on my stomach because it is a chemical. Right now all you need is a good moisturizer because when the baby come your skin tends to lose its moisture. When you're pregnant your skin tends to change. I actually got lighter and pail so don't worry its just a pregnancy faze. I also sale Avon and we have a lot of skin care products targeted towards new moms especially stretch mark creams and eye lifts. Our products are clinically proven to work in 3 days or your money back. As women we do want to look our best so how bout going with a company who caters to all women!

Why do all of the pregnant celebrities have perfect skin throughout their pregnancies?
Missy
I'm pregnant and as soon as I became 2 months along, my skin started breaking out like crazy and it's so embarrassing and frustrating! Plus no matter what skin care product I use, it just doesn't work and it's getting to the point that I don't even want to leave my house because of it. So, what gives?! Why do celebrities always have beautiful skin and why is it such a struggle for so many of the rest of us? At what point during your pregnancy did your acne clear up?
Answer
thats how i was too! it'll get better the further along you get. i havent had acne in months (i'm 8 mos. preg.) and celebrities also are airbrushed, have makeup people ect... compare yourself to them and you'll make yourself crazy!

Sammi
I am into couponing and only know of 3 websites.Does anyone else know of some?I use all kinds of coupons-food,drink,paper products, beauty products, health care, frozen stuff, snacks, etc. Please list all websites you know for good coupons.
Answer
There are a lot of good sites to print coupons from. Here are some of the better ones:
coupons.com
couponnetwork.com
smartsource.com
redplum.com
target.com
Also, here is a coupon site you should find really helpful.
http://www.loyalcouponer.com
They have a database that lets you search for specific coupons for items you may have on your shopping list. It will show you all available coupons for the product and direct you to the sponsoring website (most of the time the manufacturers website), to print it off. This site is also great at keeping you up to date on the latest deals, promotions, free stuff, samples and more.
Best of luck couponing!!!

Is it okay to mention in the resume the beauty website I own?
shyone
My website is all about beauty and woman's health. It contains reviews of cosmetics, astro stuff and many other things that deal with women's personal development including psychology. Usually, I do not say anything about my own personal life over there. But yeah, I do mention my opinions on cosmetics stuff. Is it okay to include address of such site in the resume?
Answer
Only if you make profit on it, or it has a decent amount of followers (over 100 for sure).
If so, then you have a strong attribute to add to your resume! (:

How do people with tan skin turn fair?
:)
I saw this girl pictures. She is now popular in South Korea. She had plastic surgery. Looks better than before. She used to have tan skin now she is fair skin. Is that even possible now a days?? What do they took/did?
Bleaching skin?? The whole body??? I also heard about Gluthathione makes your skin lighter?
The reason why I asked it's because I'm just curious. People with light skin tan once in a while that's possible. But makes yours skin light by taking Gluthathione or bleaching?
Answer
Of course it is! There is many skin bleaching products out there, my friend is biracial and now he is pale.

There is safe way of making your skin lighter, people make it out to be a big deal and say "OMG self hatred just be happy with yourself". People tan, so why can't people make their skin lighter? One of my African American family members is now tan/olive because shes been bleaching for years now.
Don't kill your skin though tanning and bleaching are very touchy careful things to do.

its a real alligator purse made by "Youngman's". its from the 1960's so there is nothing online about it. i know this purse is worth some money, but does anyone have more information on this brand?
Answer
have you checked online??? you should be able to find a lot of info. about cleaning and taking care of it to preserve it.........
you can also look up the show" road show". it often has dates of places they will be and you could take it there. it travels thru utah often.
i have a chest type luggage locker. it came from england in the 1800's. it is made of wood and covered with snake skin. i didn't know how to care or restore it . i typed it into the google and found what i needed. i have also looked up the road show for an estimate but haven't made it out of state to actually go there....... many times you can buy a book or go to a shop that sells antiques and they can tell you..........................good luck

How do I market my line of skin care products?

skin care on a budget
Troubled L
I started a line of Dead Sea skin care products 3 years ago. Despite all my efforts our sales are still low. I have a informative web site, I've posted every where on the net, I have a brochure I've mailed and emailed everywhere, I lost tons of money sending samples out. I've tried to recruit direct sales people as well as commission only business to business reps and I got no where. Is this just a failure business or what? I am working on a very small budget at this point and can't afford a national ad campaign should I just quit or what?
Answer
I've been successfully self-employeed for over 30 years. I realize you've spent a lot of time and money on your skin care products and probably won't like what I'm about to say.(You might want to get a consultation with a mass media marketing person to hear the truth of what I'm about to tell you. )
It is repulsive to think of the word "DEAD" when it comes to putting something on my skin when I want my skin to be alive and vibrant.
You might want to think of some other way to describe and label your products. Such as "Skin Care Products from the Sea".
Often times we get so in love with our products/inventions we don't grasp whether our approach is marketable.

What are some good beauty/skin care items for snowboarders?
squickgrrl
I have a friend who's really into snowboarding, and I thought it'd be nice to make her a gift basket of various beauty and skin care items that a snowboarder could use. Any suggestions? I'm on a budget, so I'd prefer inexpensive items; that way I can buy a few things and make a nice basket.
Answer
I think you should definitely put some chapstick in the basket its a girls best friend on the slopes, sunscreen, moisturizer, waterproof mascara. Some mini handwarmers & a cute bandanna & maybe even a mini handheld massager. You could also put some warm socks & sunglasses/goggles.

What do you think of this quote for a tattoo?

LB
A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.
And any ideas where I should get it I already have a tattoo going from my ribs to my stomach.
Answer
Chest and stomach would be the best part of body for a tattoo of that length. you can't put it on the back because although the space is very sufficient, something that quotes everlasting beauty should be flaunted on the front. get what i mean? the quote is good.

Currently, is a strong keyword. Also I hope that answers give proof more so than immigrants want to live in the place (based usually on an unsupported ignorance) or that it has the most opportunities. Lets also take into consideration family values, cultural identity, crime rates, hypocritical democracy, lack of terrorism, poetry, history, art, beauty, health, lack of pollution, lack of military tyranny and give strong examples if we can. Thanks you and I hope to hear your answers

Go to score.org/template_gallery1.html and download the Excel template for estimating startup costs.
Go to score.org/ and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a volunteer SCORE counselor. They will guide you through the process.

skin care wholesale
I made my own skin care products and often times people tend to ask me what i use on my skin therefore i am going to make them professionally and i need preservatives and where to buy them
Answer
You need to use something called Potassium Sorbate. It's effective against mold, yeast, and microbes which would be what you'd be trying to preserve a skin cream from.
It's about $10 a pound on this website
http://www.texasnaturalsupply.com/productinfo.aspx?productid=KSOR
Be sure that you're making them entirely yourself from the ground up. Say, if you're using Johnson's Baby Lotion in it, they could sue you for making profit off of them. Make sure you're starting from the ground up with wholesale base ingredients and additives.

Anyone know about being a personal use Mary Kay consultant?
nicole
I don't have money for a large inventory but I love the products! Would I need to buy $400 worth (not counting the 50% discount) every 3 months or just once a year? I know its every 3 months to stay as an active member but I don't care about that. I have read its only once a year and that would work for me...400 bucks is a lot of skin care products for 1 year! Thanks in advance!
Answer
Like KZimmer said you only have to purchase 400 wholesale once a year. Now, if this is your intent go onto the Mary Kay Website and pick out 400 dollars worth of stuff. Then ask yourself if you could go through all of those products in one year to justify buying another 400 the next year and the next and the next. If this is truly what you want I'd suggest getting a couple of other girls together to purchase their products at a 50% discount with you.
However, whoever you sign under will try to get you to buy the opportunity of Mary Kay. They will even go as far as recruiting your friends and family members.
There are great makeup/skin care products at Rite Aid and Target for reasonable prices and you don't have to order them through a company. If there is that one particular product you want, go on ebay to find it.
