I have oily skin. I use Clinelle gel cleanser (no alcohol, non comedogenic, natural oils etc) and benzoyl peroxide cream and once a week i use a salicylic acid scrub cleanser. Every day I cleanse my face twice, once when I wake up and another when I get back from school which is around noon or sometimes later. My skin gets oily by 9pm so do I need to cleanse again before I sleep? Doesn't excessive cleansing damage the skin?

Lucky you my dear, you'll stay younger longer! Don't over clean your skin, just leave it at 9pm because you don't know how lucky you are but you will by the time you reach your 30's and 40's.

i get all these pump on my arms, like clogged pores in not really had, but annoying and makes me self conscience when i want to wear short sleeves its always read and gross looking

i'm tried faces washes and acne creams and honey[ that i would normally use no my face to cure my acne] nothing seems to be helping me. ideas?

Hey! I hope I can be of help. So, this is my mum I'm referring to because I'm just a student like you.

Occupation: Beauty Therapist

1. Went to London College of Beauty (private) to study Beauty Therapy. Then went on to work in a beauty boutique/parlour but only had little jobs with very VERY little pay e.g. thread eyebrows. Pay was little and hours were LONG. Employees weren't treated very well either. So as I had built up my contacts in the salon I decided to start own free lance, mobile (go to clients houses) business as sole trader. The mobile bit was my USP. LONG LONG HOURS, hard work! Started off with about 5 clients, now ended up with about 250 after some sleepless nights (been doing job for about 15 years)

2. Interested in beauty. Was going to be a pharmacist but rethought it.

3. Same as me (her). Study in beauty college, get a job in a beauty salon and then if you want stay on in the salon or like me, start your own business

4. Taking care of budget of supplies (e.g. wax pots, wax spatulas, nail varnish). Beauty treatments - e.g. waxing, threading, massages, manacures, pedi, facial, lava shell massage

5. Different services as listed above. Don't sell any products. Customers/target market are usually rich women in need of treatments who are based in Central or north west London. Competitors: other mobile beauty therapists but not a lot of competitors as I have already established my client base and they are very loyal customers

6. Abilities - able to sacrifice any time of day for clients, less hours of sleep as sometimes can work late into night (about 1 oclock), able to drive, communication skills for talking to clients while giving them treatment, likability, have to present yourself well in the way you dress, able to do ALL the treatments correctly and more so that customers are more than satisfied

7. Beauty therapy course in private college, I also go to Olympia London Beauty shows to get more inside info into the newest products and services I can offer. Need to keep up with competitors and newer products if i want to retain my customers

Tanning comes & go, unless you do them everyday 24/7 for the rest of your life. But in the end the only thing you'll benefit is either moles, freckles, skin tags or discolorations from sunscreens, lotions, etc. and the more you do, the more they get larger, darker & bumpier. My nephew had a membership in a tanning bed salon for a year. After it expired, he stopped, now he's as white as before he began.

Tanning, is a result for 'damaged skin' and no products can reverse you from skin cancer or damaged skin, may prevent you from pre-mature aging, but that's part of the billion dollar beauty industry.

I've been protecting myself from the sun since age 9, but no matter, I got Discoid Lupus. Google that one. It was like someone punched my chin and it gave a purplish mark. It took 12 years for that to fade, so now I'm using a wide brim hat or umbrella for protection. Gene Simmons & Shannon both have been seen hold an umbrella during an event. They were invented before beauty products, for a reason. Google also Bullous Pemphegoid, photos, another skin disorder.

Facial skin care? Help!?!?

I don't have very nice skin on my face, It's not bad but it's a bit oily I don't have spots but I have a few pores and it just looks dead! I have a few freckles on one side and loads on the other. My eyes have little bags under them that look like little brushes! Any idea's on how to make it look better with keeping the make up to a minimum?!?

You can do skincare without doing makeup. :) A couple suggestions for you:

Make sure you wash your face every night with a clean wash cloth. Soaps can irritate your skin, so I'd skip them - water is plenty.

Garnier Skin Renew eye roller - This thing sounds like crap, but it puts a soothing cream on the bags when you roll it over, and the gentle pressure on the skin draws your body's attention to the area so it can fix the problem itself! Every blog I've seen it mentioned in gave it shining reviews.

Moisturizer - Whatever moisturizer you like should work fine. If you don't have a favorite, I suggest coconut oil. You can find extra virgin organic coconut oil on Amazon for $15.. My moisturizer that it replaced lasted maybe 5% of what this one is lasting me, and at a cheaper price for one portion. Anyway, keeping your skin moist can help a lot, if you aren't already.

Exfoliate - If you have problems with dead skin or just need a dewy glow, an exfoliator works great. Jaclyn Hill (Mac-trained professional makeup artist, has a youtube channel) strongly suggests buying sugar and just adding enough water to make a paste. I add in coconut oil instead, 'cause I obviously have a love affair with it anyway, and it takes away the moisturizing step when I take a shower. Any store-bought product will probably work fine too, but these are the best I've seen, and I've tried a LOT of exfoliators.

Now, there's one other thing for the oily skin. It's called the oil method. The theory is that your skin is producing so much natural oil because it feels dry all the time, and it thinks it needs more oil. It's counter-intuitive, but if you put oil (like my best friend coconut oil) on your face, your skin recognizes that it doesn't need more oil, and therefore doesn't produce more oil. I use coconut oil on my face just before I go to bed, then I make sure to wash my face before applying makeup. This way, at least 1/3 of every day is spent with moisturizing oil soaking in and telling my skin to not produce makeup when I'm trying to not look oily during the day!

That's what's worked for me, good luck :)

Is this okay? I'm 15, and I wanted to try more natural skin care since it was less expensive (hehehehe ;P ) and if it is good, what benefits would I get from it?
â¢Wash face with Clinique Facial Soap for Oily Skin (Twice a week wash my face with green tea and water, let it sit for 10 minutes, and wash off with warm water)
â¢Use 100% lemon juice with a cotton ball as a toner, swipe all over face, avoiding eye area
â¢Use a small amount of extra virgin olive oil all over face, pat under eye area and some laugh lines I have beside my mouth.
â¢Let it soak in, then put sunscreen, let that soak in, then do my makeup.

I like it it almost sounds like my skin care routine but I wash my face with oatmeal every day and I only use lemon juice for 10 mins at night. But it sounds really good! I love natural stuff! And it is so much cheap

Use an oatmeal cleanser every morning and night.

Here's what you need and instructions!

Washcloth
Oats, quick oats work great !
Water, hot and cold


Grind up the oats until t looks like flour, this is not mandatory but when the oatmeal is in smaller pieces it cleans your pores better. 

1) rinse your face with warm water and pat it dry , use makeup remover if you need it.

2) take half a teaspoon of of the oats and mix is with one teaspoon of hot water. This should form a paste.

3) rub this paste on your skin until it starts to dry up.

4) take your washcloth and run it under hot water, squeeze out the excess and drape the washcloth over your skin  for 30 seconds . Repeat this step one more time.

5) after the final steaming use your washcloth to wipe of the oatmeal . Then rinse your face with cold water or run and ice cube over your skin to close your pores. Follow up with a moisturizer!

Make sure your not allergic to oatmeal !

Thinking of going to beauty school but I don't know if I should?

I have my degree as a graphic designer but I have yet to find a job so I been thinking of going to school to learn how to cut hair and stuff. It looks fun and my friend just graduated Friday and just got a job today so I'm thinking of doing it I just don't know if it's something I'll actually enjoy once I'm there. Any advice?

Another concern is that beauty school is very expensive and do you currently have student loans?
Next: I say "GO - GO, but ONLY if you LOVE doing hair", makeup etc. .

I would suggest you finish school and scrub the beauty school idea for now. My fiance finished esthetics school about six months ago and has yet to make any serious money from the jobs she's landed. Beauty and esthetics positions usually start out paying very low. Sure, you can make good money after you've built a steady client list, but that takes years. Additionally, people are spending less on themselves right now because of the economic slump. You don't want to be in a declining market as a job hunter.

If you need the income to support yourself don't do it. If you need benefits there usually are none. As for competitive I can't say to much about it I have been in 3 salons in 18 years and I have been lucky to find great places. I will say if you are good then people will most likely be competing with you! As far as building a clientele that's the hard part. You need to get in a good salon that will help you. Do everything you can to learn whatever you can. I was lucky enough to get in with a lady that had me basically apprentice for her. I hated it a the time but I look back now and realize I wouldnt know half the stuff I do if it wasnt for her having me stand there and watch her all that time! Learn all you can in beauty school but realize that the learning really begins when you are all alone behind that chair. Just keep good people around you that are willing to help you out, you will need it when you run into that color that you have no idea what to do. I would say go work in an owner run salon that will guide you for a few years, then when you feel you have a good clientele go work for yourself either a salon in your home or lease a station.

I've considered going to cosmetology school for sometime. I have a four year college degree in Theater. I started out as a graphic design major in college and recently went back to take more classes in graphics. I hated it. I already sit at a computer all day at an underpaid photo editing job with no health insurance. I'm concerned though about paying $15,000 - $16,0000 to go back to school. I'm concerned I won't be able to support myself straight out of school because I have read some people say they make $10 an hour as a stylist. I could not live on that in Chicago. I am just a one person household with two cats.

I am like you in that I have a college degree and decided to go to cosmetology school to be a hairstylist. It is true you don't make very much fresh out of school, but there is potential to make a lot of money as a hairstylist, so the question you must ask yourself is how much uncertainty you are comfortable with when it comes to income. Every salon is different, but where I work you are on straight commission after a few months on the floor, which is definitely rough when you don't yet have an established clientele. I can't give you an exact figure but as an apprentice you probably will make about $20,000/yr (give or take a few thousand, and this includes tips), and your first year or so on the floor will be roughly the same, unless you happen to get your chair when someone who has a lot of client

There is also a significant difference in income for being a colorist versus a stylist (ie cutting hair). It is a sad but true fact that color services are more expensive than haircuts, and therefore colorists, on AVERAGE, make far more money than cutters. You can make extremely good money being a colorist at a high end salon once you have your clientele established. The biggest factors to success in this industry are how hard you work, the training you receive, people skills and confidence.

Training and income are closely related, and apprenticing at a high end salon with a reputation for excellent work will ultimately pays off because it will give you the skills and know how to not only do great work but to be compensated well for it. I won't lie, assisting isn't glamourous and can sometimes be a lot of labor but it is well worth it if you are learning from the best in the field.
As far as schools are concerned it doesnt really matter that much, the apprenticeship is really where you are going to learn to do hair, not in beauty school.

I have a friend who encouraged me to get into hair styling about 7 years ago. I thought he was crazy. I was building my own graphic design business. When the dotcom bust hit and we went into a bit of a recession, his earning remained solid and mine fell. I think his advice was solid and am seriously considering it now. His business is growing by leaps and bounds and he currently works 4 days a week and makes alot more money than I do.

Help!!! oily skin?

my face seems to be more oily now... i don't wear make up, and i wash my face with neutrogena soap 3-4 times daily. any suggestions on products.

My whole life I've been oily and I've tried every possible thing out there. In the long run, there is nothing you can really do to "prevent" oily skin; you're just made that way.

I think it's important to know how your skin works. So first, if you're a girl, this piece of info might be helpful:
"Previous studies have shown that the oil duct opening on the skin was smallest in days 15 - 20 of a 28-day cycle, increased in days 21 - 26, and decreased again in the two days before menstruation. On average, premenstrual acne flares were found to be the worst on day 22 of the average 28-day cycle."

This info tells us that 1) do not count on your complexion to always be perfect, because it goes through changes in a monthly basis, and 2) you look better during certain times of the month--when the pores are smaller and secrete less oil.

Secondly, skin is a live thing, so it reacts to the environment. Friction causes pore enlargement, and this inevitably leads to more oil secretion. Wash your face gently, try not to rest your face on your palm or on dirty clothes, and do not rub. Best yet, try not to touch your face so often, as this stimulates glands.

Another thing to keep in mind: you are what you eat. This doesn't mean that eating greasy food will make your skin oily, like what some people believe; your body breaks down fat, so the fat does not go directly to your skin. What I mean is food that is healthy and easy to digest would engage better circulation and supply nutrients for cell production. You know what this means.

What I find extremely helpful is when I get to exercise and sweat off the oil and the toxin stored in your skin. This is one of the best internal cleansing there is: inside-out waste elimination. Your skin glows after heavy sweating. Going facial is a waste of time and money when you can do so much better yourself; just hit the treadmill.

Lastly, for external care, the common sense is that you avoid extra oil production by not overdrying it. I use Effaclar gel, and it works wells on my skin. cleanser(whole foods store), tone (look on michelle phans page for the rice toner)r, blemish ointment (put this on t zone and chin all over these places or where you get the most breakouts because this will help prevent more if needed i got mine form proactive its the step 3) and then put 100% pure aloe on you face all over. My skin was them same but i started doing this everyday and my skin is like clear and mousturized! yay!

These are really cheep two. and try using all natural and organic becuase peopel told be that and i was like yeah rite but i tried it and it work like in the first few days! except for the proactive, it works to prevent breakouts

recurring red-bruise-like patches on lower back of four-year old-what is it?

three weeks ago my four year old had bruise-like patches on lower back. I pulled off a tick the same morning I noticed the red patchhes. These patches disappeared and now they are back looking as fresh as they did three weeks ago. They look like bruises that are fading. They are oval shaped and are dark red and clustered in an area that is about 2.5 inches in width and 3 inches in length. The size of each patch is about 5/8 of an inch or smaller in lenght, smaller in width. The patches have not grown or shrank since three weeks ago; they look the same.

Believe it or not, Acne products contain many natural ingredients you can find in your kitchen cabinet or local grocery store, just in lower concentrations. How do I clear my skin up?

I have fairly clear skin except for when I pick at my face. I have a real bad habit of picking blemishes even when they're not ready to pop. I need a skin care system that can get rid of blackheads and any type of blemish as well a prevent from any future ones from appearing. Right now I'm using Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Wash and it doesn't seem to be making any difference. I still have tons of black heads on my nose and my chin.:( Also I recently learned that Neutrogena tests on animals. Does anyone know of any drugstore skin clearing products that don't test on animals and can do what I need them to do? Thanks!:)

How to Get Rid of Acne: ..................Thanks to Mama Bear for the following.

Lemon Juice
Rub fresh lemon juice on your pimples with a gentle hand. The bleaching properties of lemon juice lighten the skin and thus reduce its appearance. Moreover, it removes the topmost layer of the skin surface where bacteria grows and controls the infection. Thus the healthy underlying skin is revealed. If you hesitate to use concentrated lemon juice on the pimple as you fear it may cause skin irritation, then you can dilute it with rose water.

Application of Ice
This is an easy way to get rid of pimples overnight. You have to pack up some crushed ice in an aluminum foil in order to prevent them from getting melted quickly. Then put it inside a plastic bag and wrap up the pack with a thin towel. Now apply it over the pimples for 10 to 15 minutes. This will shrink the pores forcing the oil and dirt out of it. When the two main culprits are out, you can expect the pimple to clear up in no time.

Toothpaste
You can get rid of pimples overnight using toothpaste. Many people find it highly beneficial for this purpose. Take some toothpaste on the tip of your finger and apply it on the pimple in such a way that the entire pimple is covered up with the toothpaste properly. Leave it on the pimple overnight. Next morning when you wash it off with warm water, you will be pleasantly surprised with the result. The trick is that the toothpaste absorb all the oil from the pimple and reduce its size so much that it becomes invisible. However, a toothpaste with gel content is not suitable for this treatment.

Baking Soda
Baking soda is considered as one of the best home remedies for getting rid of pimples overnight. Prepare a thick paste using one cup of baking soda, 3 tablespoons of salt and some water. Rub this paste gently over the affected areas of your face making small circular motions. Leave it on the acne for few minutes and then wash your face with cool water. The exfoliant property of the salt removes the dead skin cells from the pores. The baking soda soften up the skin and restore the normal pH balance of the skin. As a result, the pimple clears up fast.

Egg Mask
A simple egg mask can help you in getting rid of pimples from your face. Take one or two eggs as per your requirement. Break them and separate the white portion of the eggs from the yolk. It is the egg white that you need to apply as facial mask on your face. Keep it on the face overnight and then wash off with cold water.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is known for its healing and disinfecting properties. To apply it, start with washing the face thoroughly with an antibacterial soap. Pat dry with a towel and then taking a cotton ball apply apple cider vinegar evenly on the affected skin. Leave on for fifteen minutes before washing it off with cold water.

Steam and Clean
In the very initial stages of acne when it is still a small zit or just in the form of whitehead and blackhead you can try doing this. Clean your face with cleansing milk using cotton pads. Now scrub it with a gentle face scrub. Take steam on your face for about 8-10 minutes. Now take a sterilized blackhead remover and clean the blackheads and whiteheads. You can also try squeezing pimples if they are very small. Use a clean cotton pad to clean the pus or blood that flows out. Now finish by cleaning the area with an antiseptic lotion or a toner. This procedure will help keep your skin clean and avoid further acne breakouts. Following this everyday before going to bed is one of the easiest ways to get rid of acne fast at home.

Acne Prevention Tips

â¢Do not touch the skin areas which are affected by acne with your fingers, as it can spread the infection to other skin areas as well.
â¢Maintain hygiene i.e., use clean bed sheets, pillow cases and towels. Dirty towels can be the breeding ground of germs and bacteria, thereby causing severe cases of acne breakouts.
â¢Dandruff and oil in hair can cause acne too, so to prevent that, avoid doing such hair styles which make your hair touch or fall on your face.
â¢Exercise everyday as it helps in proper blood circulation, and adequate transfer of oxygen to all the body cells. Exercising will help in both reducing stress and preventing acne.
â¢Take shower after undertaking any kind of exercise or physical activity to prevent dirt and sweat from getting accumulated in the skin pores.
â¢Drink lots of fluids and water as it will help in elimination of wastes and toxins from the body, resulting in a blemish free, glowing skin.

I have been using Obagi for a few years now. Don't know why it has taken this long; I'm usually more conscientious. I've now done more research and find that Obagi does animal testing. I'd like to find something else that I can feel better about using and still get decent results. Ads all promise results, but I'd like some personal recommendations.

Wow, I didn't know Obagi did animal testing, now I'm kind of bummed at the fact that poor defenseless animals are being tested on. I can imagine the horror they go through everyday.

I don't know of anything that works as good as Obagi because I have melasma. You should be posing this question to a Dermatologist because I will.

Anyway, in my early 30's I was using Cetaphil then tried this aloe based product from Forever Living (based in Arizona), they have a skin care program titled, Aloe Fleur de Jouvence (Aloe Flower of Youth), which I did notice improvement, I bought the kit (box).

Then again, I was swimming 3x a week so I believe the chlorine helped the product along. I resided in S. California until the last 4 years, I now live in the Pacific Northwest and due to the lack of consistent sunny days, I began to get lighter which I believe revealed the sun damaged to my skin. It was pretty bad and I looked horrible.

Until I can find something that is comparable to Obagi that does not animal test and cost a lot less I will do it.

Have you seen at the bottom of the pots or the rims of tubes? Or there might be on the paper boxes most items come in.

They might not even have expiration date written on them, because the law doesn't require for every item to have an expiration date written on them.

You cannot be sure when the product was made, how long it has been on the shelfâ¦

Light skinned black women?

I know that light skinned and mixed black women are treasures to white culture and black men. Can a dark skinned black woman ever find a black man to care for her? Also can a dark skinned black woman make it in a white dominant society? I believe light skinned and mixed women have the easiest time, they dont't have to experience racism and black men worship them.

Dark skinned black women don't have it as bad as they think. Yes, there are some guys who are like "OH SHE'S TOO DARK" but believe me, one man's 'trash' is another man's treasure. I know some guys who love darker skinned women with "smooth, dark chocolate skin that shines..." etc etc.

"black men worship them" And my bro worships no human, only God.

Believe me, the light skinned black ladies I know have a hard time too. Some are overly sexualized and are supposedly "stuck up" and "cocky". And they further get classified to "red' or "yellow" bone and they have some rivalry going on in there. It's stupid.

Really, the grass always seems to be greener on the other side. But it's not, enjoy what you got. Because there's somebody who liiiikes it! :D

I'm creating a new identity. I'm losing weight, colouring my hair, and looking after myself.

FACE: For my face, what should I do to care for it? I already cleanse my face every morning and I moisturize sometimes, but should I use a toner? What would a toner do for my skin?
How can I get my foundation to stay all day? I have really oily skin and that makes my foundation melt away after a few hours, and that really irritates me, I don;t like putting foundation on at school, it makes me feel dirty.

LIPS: What are some nude,peachy lip coloured lipsticks that aren't pale like a foundationey colour, but have a pinkey hue to them? Oh, and are relatively cheap and available NSW (New South Wales, Autralia)

EYES: Do you know of any videos on youtube or anything that can help a girl do winged gel eyeliner?

HAIR CARE: I recently bleached my hair, and it's not all that damaged, but the ends break easier than they did prior to the bleach. So, good shampoos and conditioners/ treatments..

Can you also try and keep things as cheap as possibly, I don;t have a lot of money.

Firstly, can i just say CONGRATULATIONS!:)
well done for looking after yourself. You'll feel a lot better about yourself, a new year a new you eh!

FACE:
Well what I would recommend:
- use a cleanser to get rid of your make up
- wash your face with water and a gentle face wash - it will make you feel a lot fresher.
- moisturize twice a day, morning and night. In the words of Naomi from 90210 'moisturize twice a day keeps the bags away!' As you've described your skin as quite oily, I suggest you use a gentle moisturizer and not one designed for dry skin.

That can be your daily routine, however if you want to do a little extra you can do this:
- steam your face once a weak. - Steaming your face opens up your pores in your face, so it cleans your face and unblocks your pores - i suggest you do this once a week.
To steam your face is simple.

1) Make sure all your make up is off and your face has been washed.
2) Boil the kettle and when its boiled pour the hot water into a large bowl.
3) put your face just above the boiling water (MAKE SURE YOU DONT PUT YOUR FACE IN THE WATER!) You just want to steam to rise to your face - when your face is above the water, put a towel over your head so its covering the bowl as well - this way you wont let any steam escape.

You might also want to exfoliate once a week - exfoliators aren't expensive, i have one from the brand Simple and it cost around 3-4 pounds.

LIPS:
Max factor have released some lip pens, there in lots of different colours and you can get some peachy colours, here's a link to them:

If you use them though, your lips have to be well moisturized otherwise the lip pens will dry out your lips though so be careful.

EYES:
I use a liquid eyeliner (L'oreal superliner to be precise) and i find its really easy to use.

HAIR CARE:
I recommend going to the hair dressers to get a trim, or even if you dont have a lot of money, get a family member to do it for you instead. It's really not that hard! just wash you're hair, comb it through, and then get someone to trim your ends in a straight line.

If you are planning on dying your hair, i wouldnt dye your hair lighter as it ruins your hair more then if you dye it darker :)

For shampoo's and conditioners, go for some that are for damaged hair. And also you could even get a hair mask. There really good! I had one for damaged hair and you just apply it like conditioner when you want and it just really conditions your hair. Maybe try 'Aussie 3 Minute Miracle' conditioner, here's a link:

Sure, you can even go out, purchase a small 4 oz bottle of other types, it will last a long time, we should only have one table spoon per day, but use fish oils too, as a supplement, and do some reading, as most health nutrition books have sections on other supplements good for skin, hair, & nails beauty, health. It is easy to *eat to health (rather than go back and buy health through other costs,) even cosmetics, as men think solutions are *in a bottle, they are best, through what we *eat; *leafy greens, tomatoes, *plenty of fresh veggies, & *fruits, so, *drink plenty of water, (even flavor it if you like) , lemon is good, *sleep more & get *more-*exercise, *(it is all the *combination of all issues, here) which help promote *skin- health, *even in teen-age years, as *adequate protein each meal & *milk, *don't forget the *milk!

ok so here's the thing I'm in college and working on being a singer my voice is a mix between alicia keys and mary j. and I know it's not all about your voice it is about the way that you look and I'm a cute girl I'm in shape and my skin color is about tyra banks maybe a little darker but just a tad but my question is will I have a problem getting into the music Business because if you look at all the popular singers of today they are light skin or white and I want to be on beyonce's or rihanna's level of success not just singing in clubs I mean there is not one true brown skin/dark skin female singer that is popular right now it's all about beyonce, adele, rita ora, one direction, and none of them are anywhere near dark what happen to the brandy's and monica's like in the 90's where people really didn't care what your color was but your talent why do you have to be light skin to be successful because I bet if some of these popular female singers where dark skin they would not have much success I mean elle varner she sings that refill song and don't get me wrong she has a good voice but she is as light as beyonce

I don't think its the skin color that matters because look at Diana Ross or Lionell Richie they're both quite dark in terms of skin color but they were very popular i think it depends on how good the songs are ,look at Rebecca Black shes quite pretty to be honest but her song friday was dreadful and that's why a lot of people hate her and why she hasn't got very far in the music industry :)

I shop at Ross for shoes, because they are always cheap, and they always have cute shoes. Marshall's and TJMaxx are also good stores for the same reasons.

I use Clinique's acne treatment line, because it works wonderfully with my skin. I also use Cetaphil lotion for my face, because I have sensitive skin and this is the best moisturizer for sensitive skin. You can buy it at Wal-Mart and pretty much everywhere else. what are the best products for very acne prone, oily skin? i break out a lot around my period, by the way.

currently, i use St. Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Cleanser twice a day and St. Ives Apricot Scrub 3 times a week, and a 2% Salicylic Acid Astringent after every wash.

In my opinion, you are using far too much. Each of your products utilizes an exfoliating agent, both chemical and manual. And daily exfoliating can be detrimental to the skin.

Also, most people find that by using products designed for oily and/or acne-prone skin, their skin becomes MORE oily and MORE acne-prone.

I can't recommend any products specifically because I'm currently trying a water-only method (wipe my face down every morning with a wet cotton pad), as I found that even gentle products bothered my skin. I'd recommend going to review websites like http://www.makeupalley.com though to see what others like. You could also check out the acne.org forum (I post there myself) and see what others use - many people place their products of use in their signatures, and there is also a small review section.

Most people also find that once they stop using products to treat their skin, their acne heals much faster. So you might want to just use a hydrating cleanser on its own, and exfoliate with a different scrub (perhaps just brown sugar) no more than once a week if you do not have active inflamed acne.

Here are some for you.

Nail growth
The average nail growth is 3mm per month or 3/32 of an inch. For the future to grow long nails:

1. water is the enemy...it softens nails so wear gloves
2. don't abuse your nails by using them to pick or pry things
3. don't bite your nails
4. don't pick or chew on your cuticles
5. rub moisturizer into your nails when you apply it to your hands
6. keep your nails short and slightly rounded
7. don't use polish remover more than twice a month
8. apply a nail hardener, but avoid products containing toluene sulfonamide or formaldehyde

Hair growth
Normal hair growth is 1/2 inch per month. You can keep your hair healthy and increase growth to 3/4 inch per month by:
taking vitamins
scalp massage
wear you hair up (it protects it from the environment)
get it trimmed on a regular basis (no trims lead to ratty ends and lots of splitting/breakage)
use a satin pillowcase
use a boar bristle brush
do final rinse with distilled water
do not shampoo daily - shampoo only when necessary
avoid metal hair accessories
do not brush or comb hair when damp
don't allow your hair to get caught under you purse strap, coat collars, etc.
if it is windy, restrain your hair (prevents knotting which leads to breaking and splitting)
apply shampoo only to scalp and roots, when you rinse, it will clean balance of hair without drying it out -never pile your hair on your head when shampooing leave it hang
always condition but only apply to hair length...not scalp or roots (ears down is best)
leave in conditioners provide the most protection
after washing you hair, wrap in towel but do not rub hair with towel
if possible, avoid heat appliances: blow dryer, flat irons, etc. - if not, limit exposure
apply extra virgin olive oil to hair...just put a small drop on your hands, rub hands together and then apply to ends only

Misc.
To eliminate puffiness under your eyes all you need is a dab of preparation H, carefully rubbed into the skin, avoiding the eyes. The hemorrhoid ointment acts as a vasoconstrictor, relieving the swelling instantly.

For skin blemishes, cover the blemish with a dab of honey and place a band-aid over it. Honey kills the bacteria, keeps the skin, sterile, and speeds healing. Works overnight.

Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It's a lot cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It's also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn't like when you tried it in your hair.

I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. his skin is starting to peel plus he is getting wat looks like a rash around his neck and shoulders ??

peeling is really normal. My third child did it for weeks and weeks after he was born. Its because they are in fluid for 40 long weeks and the air dries their skin out. Moisturise him with olive oil or sorbolene twice a day to keep his skin supple. You can still bath him daily but don't use fragranced baby washes and shampoos. Plain warm water is fine and then rub him down afterward with moisturiser

It should only take a few more weeks to stop peeling so much

The rash could be from clothes irratating him? Its hard to know with rashes. See if the twice daily moisturising helps and if the rash is worse or no better in a few days take him to the doctors.
You should be seeing the doc at 6 weeks anyway so mention it when you go there

I am in my late 20's and up until now i used neutrogena face wash. I recently switched to clinique because my skin started drying out because i switched jobs and work in a rather harsh environment where it is always below 40 degrees. I always used neutrogena and then I would follow up with the neutrogena face cream for combination skin. It has an spf in it which is something else to look for. The neutrogena you can buy anywhere and it's relatively cheap. The clinique you can buy in the mall and they will help you pick a product line for your skin. It's definitely more expensive but well worth it.
