I want to know how to keep my dkin youth-like. I know it's vain, especially for a man, but I care about my appearence. Especially in such a vain and superficial world. Not all of us could get away with wrinkles like Robert Redford.

I'm trying to quit smoking, I drink alot of water. I use Clean & Clear too, which works wonders for pimples. But is there any other tips for mantaining healthy skin or keeping the skin on your face healthy? Maybe products that actually work?

Answer
good moisturizers, nothing over the counter try AVON Anew products those are Fantastic!!! also take vitamins eat healthy and drink plenty of water and limit sun exposure

How to make your hair soft and silky for dark brown hair?

Yeh-yeh

Hi, i have long dark brown hair. Its somewhat damaged on the tips and i wash my hair everyday but, with different shampoos everyday. Like one day tressume, one day loreal, and one day herbal essence. My hair is long (about 4inches below shoulders) dry, and naturally straight with a few curls on the ends of my hair. What am i doing wrong? What should i do? Any advice?

Answer
Soft, silky, shiny & healthy hair comes from: Good genes. Good hair care. Good foods from Mother Nature not made my man like John Frieda or supplements found @ GNC. Those products can only do more harm than good.. You'll get 12 responses, suggesting 12 different brands. An example from YA! who uses hair shine products: "Too much shine spray!! Now hair looks greasy! Blechâ¦"

I've used the same cheapest shampoo Garnier for Normal Hair for over 15 years (no conditioner - we have soft water). When traveling, I briefly rinse with bottled water. Celebrities rinsed theirs with Perrier water. ~ InStyle mag. You can also use plastic curlers to set your hair, to get them silkier, softer, smoother. Blow dry. Take them out. Brush to style or tousle with your fingers. Retro styles are back!

Washing less often, builds the natural oil your hair needs, to get them smoother, shinier, silkier, softer. Man-made products are just temporary, until you wash them again, and at the same time washing off the natural oil your hair NEEDS. Hair product just absorbs on your hair if they're dry, like a sponge.

The hair industry is a trillion dollar business, they sell products that cleans & condition the hair. They also sell products that damage and causes hair loss. They also DO NOT give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to 'abuse'. Mechanical, chemical, or thermal styling. Hair straighteners and relaxers top the hair products pose the greatest risks. Hair relaxers, related products marketed heavily to African-American women, are dangerous because they may contain powerful chemicals such as lye, a toxic substance also used in drain cleaners.

I've been using whatever shampoos they have in all the luxury hotels (Ireland) and it did the same as if I washed my hair with over the counter brand. The only difference? I briefly rinse my hair with bottled water, to help condition the hair because their water is not the same as Oregon water, but they taste the same. My hair still feel soft, silky, shiny & smooth. So salon, or spa products or over the counter, my hair doesn't change in texture.

Hair products are not made of glue to fix, repair, prevent, reverse hair from getting damaged.

Itâs the dirty little secret shampoo companies donât want you to knowâwhen you wash your hair with one of those nutrient-rich shampoos, most of the nutrients and active ingredients in the product donât actually end up in your hair, they wind up down the drain⦠along with all the money you spent on the shampoo.
Why does this happen? Because the shampoo molecules they contain are too large to penetrate the cells of hair and more importantly the tiny hair follicles where our hair actually grows. They sit atop the follicle until we wash them away.
Why is that a problem?
Our hair works basically the same wayâif you want to treat your hair right, you need to treat the roots.

HOW you use to style your hair or what styling tools that damage the hair, and what chemicals you're adding to the hair, not the shampoo.

Best advice from Hollywood's well known hairstylist in the 80's once said: "Keep foods in your mouth and hair products on your hair."

If you've straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.

NO MATTER which link you picked, they all suggest the same foods. Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don't expect to look like you've stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you've changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results. Hair is dead, but hair also has electrical energy; the negative charge of damaged hair can lead to flyways and unruly hair.

Cutting your split ends yourself, spend 5-10 mins. on a sunny day so you can easily spot them, using a 2" scissors, cut strand by strand, section by section, allowing new growth to take over. ake the hair look healthier while it's growing. Even healthy hair like mine get them, due to normal brushing & styling.

Best answer comes from people with Avatars, showing their healthy shiny, soft, silky, smooth hair.

Myth: Rinsing with ice-cold water after a shampoo will give you shinier hair.
Truth: It might wake you up, but a dousing of cold water will have no effect on the shininess of your tresses.

I have a few problems that are driving me nuts about my hair. I have dandruff, but my scalp still gets so oily that my hair tends too look greasy by the end of the day, even if I've washed it the night before. Weird combination, I know. It's also frizzy and course, and makes me look like a lion if I don't use something to tame it.

Right now I used Head and shoulders 2in1 for dry scalp, and it's a 10 deep conditioner. And my hair products are paul mitchell skinny serum, suave sleek anti frizz cream, and paul mitchell's hot off the press when I flat iron my hair. I have to use the skinny serum and anti frizz cream together or my hair ends up a little weird. If I only use the suave anti frizz cream, my hair will be soft but frizzy, and if I only use the skinny serum, it'll be less frizzy, but not soft.

What kind of shampoo and conditioner can I use for a dry/oily scalp. And what kind of product can I use to tame the frizz and make my hair soft?
I've used tresemee, suave, pantine, and vo5 and nothing seems to work as good for dandruff as head and shoulders.

Answer
You've got several issues here, let's tackle one @ a time.
1. FRIZZY
Find a solution why your hair is frizzy, and there are some you can do with out products.

1. Don't brush when wet.
2. Finger comb instead after towel dried.
3. Spray with conditioner/water instead of washing & blow drying or straightening (didn't say you are doing them) everyday.
4. Learn how to treat your hair with care.
5. Set your hair with plastic curlers for smoother, silkier, bigger waves. Finger comb to style. They did that for generations, before heating tools were invented, and they have beautiful hair and healthier hair then. So you should too! I should know. I've abused my hair in the 80's & 90's. Look @ my hair now.
6. In the morning, just spray with water/conditioner, scrunch with gel or hand lotion & you're good to go. Finger comb again!

You're very lucky to have curly hair, us straight haired girls envy hair like yours! But you need to learn how to treat it with care.

2. DANDRUFF
1. The sun causes skin to get flaky. Same with hair. Massage your scalp when you shampoo.

2. Using hot water & frequently washing, makes ME have dishpan hands add sun to the formula both damaging, so does the hair. Use warm water and less washing. Rinse well.

Google: How to Cure Dandruff Using Only Cool Water
Rinsing Off with Cool Water, Can Cure Dandruff!

3. HAIR PRODUCTS
Washing less often, builds the natural oil your hair needs, to get them smoother, shinier, silkier, softer. Man-made products are just temporary, until you wash them again, and at the same time washing off the natural oil your hair NEEDS. Hair products just absorb on your hair if they're dry, like a sponge.
Jessica Simpson have figured it out, she said she wash her hair every week. She used to abuse her hair, then start selling hair extensions because her hair starting falling from all the chemicals, but she woke up and found out how to keep her hair healthy AGAIN.

REMEMBER: The hair industry is a billion dollar business, they sell products that cleans & condition the hair.

4. DIET
If you've straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.
Google: "Foods for Healthy Hair" - Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don't expect to look like you've stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you've changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results.

Growing healthy hair doesn't come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you're in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you're eating healthy foods. But when hair isn't growing as fast, it's because they've been tampered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc.

As long as you continue abusing your hair, there is never an ending to your problem. My method is a lifetime.

Is this a good facial skincare routine for a 13 year old girl?

Such a P.Y

THIS WILL BE LONG, but if you know much you'll read.....My skin is comb. dry/oily. My nose and forehead are oily and my cheeks and chin are dry. I get spots mainly on my t-zone particularly my nose >.< My skin is only slightly sensitive

Morning -
Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub (every day or two, as it is a daily one)
Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2in1 Wash/Mask - the wash part.
Loreal Plentitude Re-Nourish Toner for Sensitive Skin; alcohol free.
Asda Young Skin Mattifying moisturiser (it doesn't really moisturise that well)
Garnier caffeine eye roll on, without concealer.

Night -
If I wear makeup, Simple Face Wipes instead of the Neutrogena wash.
Sometimes the Neutrogena 2in1 as a wash, sometimes the Body Shop soothing aloe foam wash.
Loreal toner.
Garnier skin naturals moisturiser

Once or twice a week -
The Neutrogena 2in1 wash/mask as a mask.
St Ives Invigorating Scrub (I only use if I need it as it's pretty grainy)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this too much? Or what should I avoid/include/remove for my routine? My routine seems to work but my cheeks are sometimes left a bit dry. I like cheap, effective products that aren't too harsh. I don't wear makeup that often.

Answer
If it's working for you, I'd keep it up. Also, juicystar07 has a few videos of her skin care routine on YouTube that you could check out.

What classes should I take to be a wedding planner?

Erika

Ok so Iove (LOVE) weddings, so obviously I want to do something related to them as a career, that would be a wedding planner. I want to also do massage therapy and esthetics (makeup, massage, and skin care). I, being under 18, will be doing esthetics soon. So anyways, what I really wanna do is become a massage therapist as a main career and do weddings, makeup and possibly photography (it may be too much) on the side, also as one big shebang thing too. My question is though is: are there any classes I need to take to become a wedding planner? Any steps I should take to get in the process of becoming one?? And salary per year?

Answer
The best training to become a wedding planner is to work with one.

I'm a 21 year old male and have long hair. But not too long. I want to dye it black and I have brown hair.

Answer
My SIL pays $45 in Oregon.
Permanent black hair dye is linked to causing leukemia and lymphomas.Style meets chemistry meets biology: We're talking hair coloring.

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.

Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.

London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 22 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <â¨

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time.

How much would a dye job cost on average?

marshmallo

I have a pixie cut(see Vanessa Hudgens pixie cut for a better idea) and I finally convinced my mom to let me color my hair. It was pretty easy since my dad doesn't care what I do with my hair. So anyway, I want to dye it a brownish black(again see Vanessa) with subtle lighter brown highlights. On average how much would it cost at a salon? I want to pay for it myself so I need an idea of how much to save up. Thanks lovelies Godbless:)

My SIL pays $45 for hers.

Long to your shoulder to Pixie, don't matter, they use 1 box of hair dye anyway, or mix colors in.
