Answer
Simple Skin Care, organic, or over the counter works, but less products you use, the better for your skin in the long run. It is a billion dollar business, less product poisoning, no matter who made them or how much you spend or how often you use them.
In the beauty industry, there is no industry-agreed meaning for terms like 'organic' or 'natural'. Unlike the food industry, these terms are not regulated for cosmetics which means companies can use these terms pretty freely
Don't believe the hype: "For skin care products, 'organic is not enough,. Some organic products are fabulous, and some are not." ~ Dr. Lisa Chipps , M.D. specializes in removing skin cancer & repairing the resultant wound (laser therapy whiz) in Rodeo Drive.
"Organic skin care products are trendy, but that does not mean nonorganic ones are dangerous," Wendy E. Roberts, M.D. past president of the Women's Dermatologic Society.

What are good facial skin care products?

=]
I really want good skin. I get an occasional pimple. I have combo skin. Normal forehead, oily nose, dry everything els. My skin is sensitive. I was thinking of getting the neutrogena one step facial cleanser and the alcohol free toner. I also have the wave, the neutrogena pink grapefruit wash, burts bees soap bark and chamomile cleansing cream, burts bees peach and willobark scrub. Also if you know any really good scrub for dry sensitive skin then please say:)
I don't use all of the products it's just what I have
Answer
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser - Its specially formulated for sensitive skin so it works wonders on all skin types and can be used daily without worry. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser will not dry out the skin and actually leaves the skin feeling soft and clean at the same time. It cleanses well, rinses off perfectly and isn't irritating. It does slightly (very slightly) dry my skin out but not that tight dry feeling you get with some other cleansers. I have also not developed any clogged pores or breakouts while using this, and I'm *very* prone to clogged pores!
Cetaphil also has a moisturizing cream that I think is even better than the cleanser! It's not greasy, absorbs quickly and leaves no shine. There's no fragrance to irritate my sensitive skin or nose. My dermatologist also told me that it was developed by a drug company that wanted a product that doesn't interact with their prescriptions, so it's chemically inert.
Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque, this minty-scented clay mud masque comes in either a tube (love the tube) or a tub (not such a big fan of the tub, but it is more economical). My "secret" to keeping my complexion eternally fair and clear as the weather forecast for heaven. It just sucks up all the **** and leaves pure, fresh, clean skin behind.

Skin Care Products?

Mochi
Is it necessary to switch to different brand of skin care products once a while?? If so, how often?
Answer
Hi. It is not necessary to change skin care products. What is important however, is that you find a skin care regimine that contains no mineral oil, which acts like liquid saran wrap on your skin and can actually cause acne and no alcohol which can strip your skin of natural oils and cause dryness, also, that is pH correct, then stick with it. As a matter of fact, I'm an Independent Consultant for a health & wellness company & the retention rate since 1985 of clients that use our products is 90%.

I am interested in looking into skin care/beauty companies that offer a sales rep program (personal discounts + commission on sales).
What are the names of some I could look into?
I am a licensed esthetician and am looking into different opportunities. I'm also interested in skin care product lines that are hiring regional consultants as well.
Answer
Mary Kay and Arbonne are two of the biggest.

Are there any negative effects of using skin care products made with chemicals?

Steph B
The vast majority of skin care companies contain chemicals in their ingredients. I recently learned of one company that doesn't use any chemicals. That led me to wonder, are there any side effects coming from those that do have chemicals in them?
Let me be more clear in my question. WHAT are the side effects? Are they long-term or is it mostly just that certain ingredients can irritate certain skin types? I, for one, do not want to pay more for chemical-free products if the products that contain chemicals aren't going to harm me anyway.
Answer
Chemicals can cause side effects or skin damage with prolonged use. But it does depend on the person and skin conditions. So Natural is better and why take the chance. Being a Skin Care Specialist, i am always researching ingredients for natural skin care.

Katherine
I need some help with getting my creative juices flowing for naming a cosmetic and skin care company that makes natural cosmetics/skin care products.
I have some words that I would like to play off of, but if you can think of anything different, donât hesitate to chime in.
I would like to have the name be associated as high-end brand (think Lancome, Estee Lauder, Dolce and Gabbana, etc.).
Some of the words that I would like to see how can be played up are:
Luminous
Radiant
Glow
Bloom
Anything having to do with beautyâ¦
any suggestions???
The name needs to be Sophisticated, easy to say and spell and original (French, Italian and Hebrew adaptations are OK) and less than 2-3 words.
Thanks for your help!
Answer
Amour & Beguile
Allure
Allusion
Dulcet
Felicity (Meaning 'pleasantness')
Gossamer
Imbue
Incandescence
Melli (Adaptation of the word 'mellifluous', meaning smooth, sweet,)

Just thought up beautiful sounding words that would stick in your mind as a brand name :)

Answer
Well, I don't have an educated answer for you I would guess that the people who develop skin care products are chemists.
