Beauty tips anyone?????????? Help!?
Q. So I'm a teenage girl, don't wear makeup, and was just wondering what tips or daily routines you have that help make you look great. it could be something to do with your skin, eyes, whatever. Just curious to know what works!
Answer
Hi there!
Here are some of my favorite beauty tips!
HAIR:
-When I'm in the shower, I mix some apple cider vinegar with my shampoo. And then I mix olive oil with mu conditioner! The apple cider vinegar helps to really clean my hair, and it also makes my hair super shiny! And the olive oil helps to hydrate my hair, and it also gives it a healthy glow!
-At night, don't let your hair loose, because when you roll around in bed, your hair can break. Also, you don't want to tie your up too tightly, other wise your hair can't breath. SO, a nice loose braid or bun it perfect for at night while you sleep!
SKIN:
-Every night, I give myself a honey facial! I simply put plain honey on my face, and then I gently massage the honey into my skin, using my fingertips. I then leave the honey on for 20 minutes, then I rinse it off with warm water. Honey is amazing for the skin! It's moisturizing, soothing, healing, and antibacterial. It's great for ALL skin types, and works wonders for getting rid of acne and wrinkles!
-Having a healthy skin care regime will ensure that you have beautiful skin! Simply make sure you cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin twice a day, and wear sunscreen in the day time!
-Rosehip oil is great for the skin! It makes it glow with health and beauty, and supplies the skin with needed antioxidants! Apply rosehip oil on under your moisturizer, twice daily. It will give your skin a healthy glow.
-I take weekly buttermilk baths! I fill a tub with warm water, and add about 2-3 cups of powdered buttermilk! I also add a few drops of lavender oil. Then I soak in the bath for about 20-30 minutes. Buttermilk will make your skin SO soft! It also has lactic acid, which will help sloth off dead skin cells and exfoliate your skin. When I get out of the bath, I rub my body in olive oil.
EYES:
-To help get rid of puffy eyes, apply black or green tea bags to your eyes. Black and green tea are full of antioxidants that are great for tired eyes! Leave the bags on for about ten minutes. Then use a moisturizing eye cream.
NAILS:
I like to soak my nails in olive oil! It makes my nails super soft and shiny! It's also great for strengthening them. Simply fill a small bowl with olive oil, and soak your nails for about 10 minutes. You can do this twice weekly!
Those are just some of my beauty tips and tricks! I hope I've helped. :)

Answer
The key is not to focus on you weight but your overall health. Many athletes fall into the overweight and sometime obese categories based on the BMI scale which does not take body fat content into account. Body fat content is a better indicator of your health than solely relying on BMI.
According to the BMI scale a healthy weight for your height is between 111 pounds and 150 pounds according the adult scale. Child and Teenage BMI scales do not provide this information because children and teenagers are still growing and the healthy weight range is not definite like it is for adults, so this is just an educated guess on my part. Now the body fat percentage calculator will give you more perspective on you total health. I have provided a teen BMI calculator which has lots of great tips and tools for getting or simply staying healthy as well a a body fat percentage calculator.
If you are concern about your weight for any reason, just speak with your doctor. Your Doctor will be able to provide more in depth and accurate information for you personally. Also Doctors love to see people who take their health seriously especially young people.

I'm 15 and my parents won't let me wear ANY makeup! We always fight about it!!?
Mrs. Phant
So, my parents are veeery strict. They won't let me do anything that a normal teen would do. Talking doesn't lead to any solution, because they strongly believe in their old-fashioned values, and they see me as an immature kid who doesn't understand a thing.
They do not let me wear the slightest amout of makeup. All the girls at my high school do, and they're all so pretty and stuff. Today they freaked out when they saw me wearing a little bit of lip gloss. They were LITTERALLY YELLING AT ME! Saying that i'm becoming a bad girl, and that i should only be interested in my studies, and that i'm bringing shame to the family and blah blah blah... LIKE WTFFFFFFF ??!!!
I'm a very good stuent; take advanced glasses and always rank withing the top students. I'm very polite to everyone. I help around the house. I'm responsible and always make them proud. People always compliment my parents for having such a great daughter. What else can they ask for?
Does anyone else have the same problem? Should i wear it secretly? what are some tips to hide it? Btw, i'm not asking for a lot of makeup, all i want is some concealer, lipgloss and mascara. Nothing more! I don't see how this could harm them -_- !
That wasn't a nice comment, but hey english is my THIRD language, so i believe my grammar is not considered bad for my level..

Teenage girls often want to start experimenting with make up to enhance their facial features such as their eyes. The reasoning behind wanting to wear makeup is to look more mature. When you are ready to try makeup, you must first convince your parents that it is a good idea. Follow these simple steps and you will look like a beauty with permission.
1
Sit your parents down and explain to them that you are ready to start experimenting with makeup. Give them good reasons why you should be able to wear it.
2
Point out any blemishes such as zits or blackheads that you are embarrassed about and want to cover up with makeup.
3
Make a deal with your parents that you will start wearing just light foundation makeup. Tell your parents that many foundations have ingredients to block UV rays, so it is also a health benefit to wear makeup.
4
Browse through beauty magazines with your parents and show them the kind of makeup that you like and point out celebrities with the colors that are pleasing to you. Be sure to convince your parents that you are looking to enhance your facial features and you do not want to look sexy.
5
Remind your parents that you are maturing and that you are very responsible. Remind them also that you could easily sneak behind their backs and wear makeup when they are not around you, but they are teaching you to be an honest adult.

what should my 3rd paragraph be about?

Madey
Societyâs perception of beauty has been changing constantly throughout the course of human history. Womenâs clothing styles, hair styles, and outward appearances have altered, along with the fads. However, I believe women today are faced with the toughest standards of beauty yet; standards to be super-skinny, super-sexy, and unrealistically beautiful. So, I ask this question: Who actually creates the standards for beauty in the first place?
Looking back at the past, it appears that artists, sculptors, and painters have had large influences of what was judged as beautiful. So have actresses, singers, entertainers, and those with high social statuses. But who is given that type of power today? Although many would blame the media for insisting on size zero models and beautiful looks, the fault truly lies with us. We set the standards ourselves! We have the power to resist, or even to speak out, about the negative messages the media is sending to women; yet, often times we do just the opposite. We submit to the worldâs standards of beauty, and we accept its false principles as our own. By soaking up the mediaâs messages and words, we are complacently helping to carry on the thin status quo. Women across the universe are being subjected to thousands of images and messages everyday which mostly only portray the âidealâ body type. The continual pressure to live up to the worldâs ideals can cause women to become dissatisfied with their appearances. Often, this leads women to push themselves to lose weight because they feel the need to appear thin and flawless.
The emergence of the slim body type as a beauty standard for women has resulted in a phenomenon that is harmful to many womenâs emotional and physical health. As models have become thinner and thinner, eating disorders and a decrease of self-esteem have reached an all-time high, particularly in young girls. It is common for teenagers to be obsessed with what is âinâ. In many television advertisements, thin and gorgeous models and actresses appear on the television screen to promote beauty products. These commercials are portraying the message that beauty means being thin. The women on these advertisements are women who have a weight which is below average; in fact, many of these women are sickly underweight and achieved this by smoking, using drugs, or starving themselves. However, young girls do not realize that. They believe these women are perfect because they are thin. These advertisements are hard to ignore as a young girl, especially because they are shown during popular teenage programs such as One Tree Hill, The OC, and Gilmore Girls. However, television is only one of the ways the media reaches young girls. Millions of young girls are subscribed to magazines which contain stick thin models and actresses, fashion tips, and dieting tips. While flipping through the pages, girls begin comparing themselves to the models they see in the magazines, and as a result, they become frustrated with their own bodies. But what girls do not realize is that almost every picture in every magazine has been modified and enhanced. With new technology, almost any flaw can be easily removed, and modelâs bodies can be retouched and made âperfect.â Teenage girls often find themselves longing to look like the models and actresses they see in these photos, yet they are not real pictures.
the topic is-who aets the standards for beauty and how do they affect lives?
Answer
Well, I assume that the Looooonnnnnng, single paragraph above, acually is just two then?
I'd make it into at least 4 or 5, it's very lengthy, and has several "main ideas" in it.
Your last paragraph should offer some form of conclusion, or summarize the main point you wish to make.
You also could have added the effects of Hollywood, on clothing and beauty styles. TV land, olften reflects Hollywood, and the female stars, over the years.
You are correct that what is seen in Hollywood, on TV, and in glamour magazines is not what a "perfecrt" woman is, or should be.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Women, like men, come in all shapes, sizes and all can be beautiful.
The mind, character and personality really make up the "best" characteristics of a beautiful woman.
Perhaps you can add that thought to your last paragraph?
Good luck
