How to keep your hair healthy?

Ashley

I want to know how to keep my hair full and healthy. Please give me tips like, Put ......... in your hair.

Answer
1. Blow dry for 5 mins, use a diffuser if you have wavy hair or use two or three towels to absorb some of the water, stand by the heater or air fan instead of blow drying your hair. Brush your hair when it's 99 1/2% dry.

2. Frequent brushing, when you hear a snap, your hair is breaking & splitting, and you're making your hair weaker is not so good for your hair. Don't brush when it's wet. Finger comb is best or wide tooth comb.

3. If you have curly or wavy hair, comb using your fingers just be gentle with your hair, they frizz easily.

4. If you have long hair, don't pile it on top of your head when you shampoo. Keep your head down, let the water drain to the ends of your hair. Massage shampoo on your head, while keeping the hair down, then move the suds towards the tips of the hair, massaging to get the dirt out. Rinse allowing the water to fall from top to the tips of your hair, then reverse the hair to the back of your head.

5. Use bottled water, if you have hard water, instead of conditioner, to rinse.

6. Wash it 2x a week, if it's greasier you're over conditioning it.

7. The sun is drying to the skin, so does the hair. Protect them by covering them with a wide brim hat.

8. Healthy hair means: no chemicals, no hair straightening tools, and eating all the healthy foods from Mother Nature, not made by man.

9. Cutting the split ends, strand by strand, section by section 5-10 mins on a sunny day helps maintain the health of the hair using 2" scissors. Then 2x a year, get a good hair cut.

10. You can grow long hair down to your feet, if it's healthy. You get more benefits having a egg salad using the mayo & egg in a sandwich than using them on your hair. They do very little for damaged hair.
Google: "Foods for Healthy Hair" - the website had moved, type it in. Two others also:

It's also from your good genes.

I know hair. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy hair down to my knees. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing in the 80's & 90's. I've known people in their 30's whose hair stopped growing from ironing their hair in the 70's. I don't use conditioner on my hair, just the cheapest shampoo money can buy when it's on sale - Garnier for Normal Hair. I trim my hair 1" a month, 4" 2x a year.
