Teen Skin Care Products?

Labels:

violentxki

I've been looking for makeup removers, cleansers, masks, face wash, and daily moisturizers for my Oily Skin type.

Still, I'm a little hesitant because I'm scared that the brand I'm looking at (Neutrogena) might not be for teens? I read in an article that Neutrogena is some sort of top of the line for Teen skin care, but is it really? It doesn't say so on their website.

I'm also worried because I'm afraid that the four things I plan on getting (makeup removers, cleansers, masks, face wash, and daily moisturizers) might be too much for my skin? Also, how do I know what amount of SPF is just right?

I live in Hawaii, and the Neutrogena products I chose so far are hard to find (in-state and online), not to mention their site doesn't ship here, so I am DEFINITELY open to other brands of (makeup removers, cleansers, masks, face wash, and daily moisturizers) that are great for teens.

*I already know from much research that for the Oily Skin type, it's best to use things that are Oil-Free.

Help?

Answer
Neutrogena is good, but certainly not top of the line. I highly recommend Clinique. Clinique products will be slightly more expensive, but all of their skin care products are fragrance free and allergy tested (Neutrogena products are not) so they won't be harsh on your skin. As for the products, you should need a make up remover, a cleanser, a toner, a moisturizer, an SPF sunscreen (minimum SPF 15) and optinally a mask (Clinique sell all of these). Head over to a department store and they should have a Clinique kiosk in the cosmetics area, talk to the workers there and they'll ask you some questions about your skin to see what type of skin you have. Clinique have whats called a '3-step skin care system' and there are different products for different skin types. Ask them to recommend products for you, it's always a better idea to get advice from someone who knows what their talking about.

what is the best skin care line?

Goddess of

i'm 21 years old, with dry to combination skin (although it's going to be more combination since summer is coming). i need to look up cleanser, scrub, toner, and lotion (with spf since i'm very light skinned). i've tried clinique and didn't like it all that much. i'm thinking about trying alba or ABH, something like that. i really love organic products too. something light, that gives really good, radiant skin. if you could just give me some names and why the company is so great. thank you!

Answer
i tried this new stuff at a mall kiosk, its called Onsen...it was seriously the best thing ive ever used.

its like this gel stuff that you rub into your face and then left it dry and then rub in again and keep doing that for a few minutes and then you start to pick up all the dry skin and dirt off your skin, you can actually see it and feel the dirt being picked up. it leaves your skin sooooo smooth and it looks so healthy and perfect. its like from japan or something, its kinda expensive but soooo worth it!

its the face peel part of the c's the day line.

I'm looking into buying organic skin care products and always see a kiosk with Gratiae products. I tried looking for reviews online but can only find reviews from their site. Let me know if this is a good quality.

Answer
Go to YELP or Craigslist and read reviews or post on their message boards there from your city, or search name under Better Business Bureau.

IF A PRODUCT IS LABELED "ALL NATURAL" OR "ORGANIC," IT'S PROBABLY HYPOALLERGENIC.False
Remember, poison ivy is all natural, too! But you probably don't want it on your skin. It is very possible to have an allergic reaction, or other irritation, from products labeled "all natural" or "organic." For example, lanolin, from sheep's wool, is a common natural ingredient in some moisturizers that sometimes causes allergic reactions.
You may also need to watch certain "all natural" products that contain substances taken from plants. These products may be more at risk for bacteria. Since these products contain no preservatives or have non-traditional ones, your risk of infection may be greater.

How come I never get pimples on my nose but I get them everywhere else?

Acute Awes

I ALWAYS touch my nose and it's SUPER oily. I never touch the rest of my face and take super good care of it. Why is my nose immune?

Answer
If you have skin problems only on your cheeks then it may be combination skin(chin, nose, and forehead are clear or oily but no break out would be the t zone. Cheeks would be only break out area which has been related to stress break out. Try a proven product that treats the oily area without irritating the normal skin areas. If you want an excellent skin care system to clear face up and remove oily areas try (proactive) will clear skin and can even get st mall kiosks now.

I want to buy proactiv on ebay (new not used) but just in case i dont have enough money, is there a specific set that is the most important. I know theres a whole set with different ones you use in a certain order but whats the most important. I am african american--my skin is oily with random black spots

Answer
Um... it would be better for you to buy it directly from Proactiv (either on their site or there might be a kiosk at your local mall). I know it's more expensive, but it's safer to do it that way. Although, I guess if you want to buy it off Ebay, all I can tell you is to be careful and don't use it if the package doesn't comes with the bottles completely wrapped up.

And, to answer your question. The typical system includes three steps: Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner and Repairing Lotion. But, I would have to say that getting a four step system that includes the Refining Mask is a good idea, the mask is absolutely amazing.

How do I start my own cosmetic line?

I'am a free lance makeup artist and am very intrested in starting my own cosmetic line, how would I go about starting my own cosmetic line?

Breaking Into and Succeeding as a Cosmetics Maker
Starting a Cosmetics Line without Manufacturing Them by Yourself
Starting a Cosmetics Business from Home
Creating and Selling Fragrances

Pursue your dream as a cosmetics maker. Make your dream come true by making the world a more beautiful, fragrant and wrinkle-free place.
Many entrepreneurs started small as home-based kitchen cosmetics makers, which turned into today's giant players in the beauty industry.

Today, starting a cosmetics business from home is probably one of the easiest moves to become a part of the lucrative billion-dollar growing beauty industry. New cosmetics makers are popping up everyday. Even though only a select few grow into large corporations, most cosmetics makers earn decent income to lead a fulfilling lifestyle.

There are all sorts of cosmetics, ranging from easy-to-make soaps, oils and lotions to advanced skin care lotions with anti-aging regiments. However, if you are like me, most likely you're more interested in making and selling high-profit, low-cost items with high turnaround.

Here are some highly sellable everyday items to consider:

Lotions
Body Splashes (light cologne)
Lip Balms
Lip Glosses
Body Power
Deodorant

If you think making cosmetics require a sophisticated lab, think again. You can make simple cosmetics in your kitchen by yourself or outsource them to a private label manufacturer. With only $0.10 to $3.00 per item, you can have your product professionally manufactured in a large manufacturing plant and earn many times over (on average, lipstick is sold $8 to $15 a pop).

Now, before upscale retail stores carry your products, you can easily sell them through:

Consignment arrangements with small retail stores
Mall kiosks
At-home parties
Home boutiques (turn one room into a boutique)
Rent tiny spaces at a neighborhood strip mall
Rent spaces within a large department store
