I want to give pinhole glasses a try considering normal glasses make my eyes really exhausted, mostly in light. I am just wondering if there is any difference between higher quality ones that cost like $20 vs china-made ones or diy ones.

Answer
It is a good alternative to wear pinhole glasses instead of you normal glasses for eye relax.Basically the quality of pinhole glasses sold in market are the same, the mainly difference between them is the manufacturing materials and designed style .Plastic and plain ones are cheaper.More fashionable more cost. But I think the one suits you is the best one. Nature vs. Nurture debate on the idea of physical attractiveness?

Are certain people regarded as physically beautiful because society, the media, along with culture has brainwashed us to believe they are or is there enough scientific evidence to state possibility there some physical features we as humans universally find desirable such has highly symmetrical features that according to scientists serve as indicators of good health?
before anyone states personality or things like personal opinion. I am taking about people who are widely considered physically attractive? Personality and physical attractiveness are two different things. I do agree personality is more important. When initially meet someone you obviously can't tell someone's personality.

Answer
I don't think that natural selection (specifically nonrandom reproduction) even remotely applies to humans anymore.
First of all, the population is much too big for evolution to occur.
Second, as you said, the media. The ideas of beauty change every few decades.
Third, most beauty ideals nowadays are not determined by genetics but by makeup, lifestyle, and even surgery sometimes. If they don't think they're attractive, most people change their appearence.
Fourth, there are so many ideas now that everyone is beautiful in their own way. Not that I am criticizing this, but it doesn't allow natural selection to occur.

However, I have heard that, in general, animals choose a mate based on personality (kindness, etc), physical attractiveness, and intelligence.
I'm not sure how much of this applies to humans though...

I do know that when humans were first evolving, the ones who could stand up straighter had a higher chance of reproducing. I don't think anything like this could happen in modern society, however.
