I'm making a magazine called real teen. It's for teen girls who are sick of all those immature gossip mags and magazines filled with inappropriate articles. it will help girls live life.

it will be loaded with:

- fashion tips and specials
- beauty and makeup products and tips
- tips and articles to make you sexy as can be
- articles about how to have fun
- guys: cant live with them, cant live without them
- movie, cd, and tv reviews
- fun recipe
- dream job and interviews with people who have them
- quizzes
- advice
- school stuff and getting into college
- college profiles and interviews with students who go there
- how to LIVE LIFE as a teen girl

each issue would have a celebrity on the cover who is a real role model and an interview inside.

so what do you think? PLEASE give comments, criticism, and ideas. and please give lots of answers!

It does sound like every other teen mag out there. To make it different why don't you try leaving out the parts about fasion and makeup tips to make them "sexy as can be" as you put it that way we dont have even more teen girls running around with self esteem issues trying to fit in. Loose the part about boyfriends too that way single girls don't feel left out. Maybe write something about health and what a girls body is going through at that time. I like the part about dream jobs and college profiles though.Quizzes, recipes, and reviews about movies and stuff are ok but heres one what about BOOKS more teens need to read them so book reviews would be nice. Or how about politics and what is happening in the world and how it effects teens, that would be getting them ready to vote when they are older.

what is the best magazines i can subscribe to???

any cool magazines..maybe for teens like seventeen, cosmogirl, or others like vanity fair, people, us weekly..etc
and if u can add what makes it the best
a magazine that has good stuff in it

I like Glamour magazine. It has a little bit of everything in it: fashion, beauty, health, celebrity news, and relationship advice. It also has a lovely fashion do's and dont's section which I love to look at! It's really fun to see some people's fashion mishaps. Also, Glamour magazine comes with a generous amount of articles and is not filled with a million advertisements like other mags are.

But if you want a more teeny magazine, I'd go with Seventeen. In my experience, I always enjoyed Seventeen magazine more than CosmoGirl and Teen Vogue. Teen Vogue sucks, by the way. It is full of advertisements and very few articles. Plus I never really agreed with its fashion advice. It always seemed a little too eclectic for me.

does anyone know the name of any beauty magazine based in scotland..you know,a magazine dealing with womens health cosmetics,etc.....a magazine aimed at the scottish market?

Seems they are a rather cultured lot with no sign of publishing an entire magazine to the culture of beauty. Having said that, many american and british mags will have UK editions I imagine can be purchase there such as cosmo girl.

People's thoughts on Bodybuilding.?

My older brother has been getting into lifting weights this past year and has bought a ton of muscle mags (mostly muscle & fitness). I was curious and started looking through some of them. It kind of freaked me out with how many ads their were for "fast weight loss pills" and "muscle gorging protein shakes" I know people who read these magazines are usually pretty passionate about the hobby of bodybuilding and i was just wondering what were some people's thoughts on muscle mags and bodybuilding in general. thanks!

i prefer boxing any day - and those mags ,well they are ALL just 1 big advert for the various products that the steroid freaks endorse or happen to mention in their 'how do you get cut for a contest' write up's - and those he/she's ,OMG,whatever happened to health and beauty,fitness pageants ,yes there okay as the steroid usage is under control,they do take certain diet stacks but nothing serious,works extremely fast though..

I used to read Brio but is has been discontinued. I had a subscription to 17 but my parents think that it's trashy and I agree.

So what are some good and wholesome teen magazines with a beauty, fashion, and fitness focus?
Cosmo is way too trashy! I think Seventeen is trashy... not conservative
