depressed about life?

This country is failing and the government refuses to do anything. Jobs are scarce, I'm worried, I have to go to college for 6 years, what's the point?I don't want to work for 40 years and make nothing, I feel like I have a bigger purpose. Too much greed and evil in the world, how do I stop feeling like this?

You sound like your in my head. The beauty of life although is were not guarenteed it. What i mean is, that we wouldnt learn to appreciate the sun if it werent for those rainy muggy days. You do have a bigger purpose in life, but it all depends on risk. People fail in life because they fail to take risks, they fail to live, and they fail to stop thinking about the future so much and actually enjoy the present.
We sacrafice our health for money then we sacrafice our money to recooperate our health, and were stuck thinking about the future so much, that we forget to enjoy the present and then we die, not having lived at all. We humans have a short life span, society molds us to believe that we must go to school, work hard and spend the rest of our old ages retired. Its the sad truth about life, and we can do nothing but choose what life we want to lead. If your really upset with life and the goverment which is something I can agree with you on then your thinking correctly. The answer to stop feeling like this can not be answered by not 1 person in the whole world except for you. You must take action of your life, and if your going to school for 6 years because YOU want to educate yourself that way thats completly fine. But educating yourself doesnt mean it only takes school to accomplish. Dont let society control you and your dreams, those who hate on our dreams are doing so because they are incapable of living their own. Goodluck cheer up, and remember feelings ALWAYS change, so dont ever let anything get yo down it will pass over the same way life passes. Take care
