Whether it's cleared your blackheads or other acne blemishes, moisturized your skin, or just made you feel great. What brand was your favorite?

Answer
The less products you use, the better for your skin. Treat your face like your skin. Use Bath wash like Suave Bath & Body Gel, use a washcloth. Treat your face like the rest of your body, take a shower everyday or wash your face everyday. I use very little Oil of Olay to moisturize. I use powder for ever thing on my face.

The secret is keeping your face clean and oil-free.

Acne medication could worsen what ever allergies you have, so instead of trying out one product after another, you're actually spreading it around. Example: ProActiv contains a known carcinogen, at a percentage known to promote skin cancer.

The FDA has called for more safety studies on benzoyl peroxide because of concern about what happens when skin treated with it is exposed to the sun. Until research can establish or disprove a possible skin cancer link to the use of benzoyl peroxide products, the agency plans to require an extra warning and directions on the labeling: "When using this product, avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use sunscreen." and "If going outside, use a sunscreen. Allow [product name] to dry, then follow directions in the sunscreen labeling. If irritation or sensitivity develops, discontinue use of both products and consult a doctor."

If you got burned before the age of 18, it's hard telling if they're freckles and being out in the sun could make them darker & bumpier as you continue to age.

Listen . . . .I've been protecting myself from the sun since I was 9.

1. Because I don't want to look like a farmer.
2. Because I get too hot.
3. I want to look like movie stars & models, they have blemish-free skins.
4. I don't want to look like an old prune or get moles on my neck & face like my aunts.

No matter, I still got Discoid Lupus (Google it), caused from the sun. It took 12 years for them to fade. Tried all kinds of lotions that were prescribed to me, and none of them worked. More & more now I protect myself and I take my wide brim hat everywhere I go, or use an umbrella. In Asia, they use umbrella all the time. Here in the States, people started to catch on, and I see people walking w/umbrella, they are used on the beach, and they sell patio umbrellas. It was invented for a reason and also to protect us from getting skin cancer.

The sun is more powerful than most people think!

I get one tiny zit a month or none. I have very clear, soft & silky complexion and I'm 60 years old, same as when I was in HS.

Are these good skin care products?

sp

I'm 13... and I finally convinced my mom I'm the right age to start wearing some skin care stuff... I have oily/combo skin... well really... It depends, always, my skin is normal at the beginning of the day... in the summer, sweat and oils build up and makes my skin all greasy... But in the winter, my skin is pretty dry... So, I don't want to get anything that's leaning to far towards either skin condition, you know, since it differs. My skin is also pretty sensitive, and it can easily break out or get all rashy if I use a certain product. Anyways, just wondering if you guys have used these and what you thought!

everyone always suggests clean and clear but they test on animals and I don't buy those brands...

You're 13 and you're using ALL THOSE PRODUCTS?

I'm 60 and I only use Bath & Body Wash for my body as well as my face.

The less products you use, the better for your skin. Use a bath wash like Suave Bath & Body Gel, use a washcloth. Treat your face like the rest of your body, take a shower everyday or wash your face everyday.

The secret is keeping your face clean and oil-free. I also don't use liquid on my face for anything, and very little moisturizer, not even a dime size. Since my face is not dry. Good skin also comes from your good genes. Increase your fresh fruits & vegetables 3-5 servings per day. And programmed your mind to do this day after day, for the rest of your life.

Acne medication could worsen what ever allergies you have, so instead of trying out one product after another, you're actually spreading it around. Example: ProActiv contains a known carcinogen, at a percentage known to promote skin cancer.

Smoking has been shown to make acne worse since it diminishes the delivery of oxygen to the skin and robs it of nutrients, thereby inhibiting cars from healing. Not enough reason to quit? Smoke depletes moisture, making skin lose its luster and look wrinkly.

The beauty industry is a billion dollar business, they know acne is everyone's problem, but instead of saying soap is drying for you, they have to invent an acne product that can worsen the skin as MANY TEENAGERS have experienced during hormonal change, but as you get older those are completely a waste of time & money! You've just been their #1 customer!
