okay. two birds w/one stone i guess.
1st question: how do i make a sexy smokey eye w/just about any shade of brown or purple or whatever? i have tons of colors.
2nd question: whats an easy, not too costly way to treat/get rid of acne? i want to try proactive but im a lil sketchy. im using clearasil. and it works for a bit. but i get lazy. and it all comes back. i know, i know. if i want it gone, i have to stick w/it. but its hard to work around a busy schedual. any thing that'll work?
Answer
here is my smokey eye...step by step and simple as can be... (feel free to substitute lighter shades for the ones i mention for a more natural, daytime look)
start with a thin layer of shadow base or eye primer
black or dark grey shadow in the shape of a sideways V on the corner of the eye, working into the crease with a flat shadow brush (i use palladio flat shadow brush)
lighter grey shimmer shadow over the lid with a contour shadow brush, blending into the first darker shade (i use a mark contour brush)
silvery/champagne shimmer shadow under the brow bone and dotted on inner corners of eyes with full shadow brush (i use an avon shader brush)
black liner all the way across top lid, slightly thicker on outer edges, and 3/4 way across bottom (avon glimmersticks liner in blackest black)
sweep thin line of medium shimmer grey under lower lash line, below and slightly over black liner
curl lashes and add 2 coats of volumizing black mascara (maybelline volum' express turbo boost 7Xs mascara in black)
-you can also do a smokey eye with shades of brown, purple, green... any color.
here are the shades i recommend from a few different brands for the basic black/grey....
-from mac: black tied, charred OR idol eyes, and shroom
-from lancome: the new black, style section OR volcano, and off the rack
-from merle norman: ebony, zinc OR stay steel, sun beam
-from avon: night sky, steel OR slate, iced silver
stila (at sephora) has a smokey eye kit that has 4 shadows in a palette...push a tiny button and a voice speaks instructions to you. there is also a holographic image of an eye that shows where the different shades go when you turn it. 30-something $$$
for drugstore palettes, try revlon, loreal, covergirl and maybelline. i know all of those lines carry them, but not sure of the names. avon also has a shadow quads.
always keep lips light... glossy nudes are great with sexy smokey eyes.
and as far as the skin care goes, you have to be religious about it. find a routine you can work with, and add a mask and/or exfoliant once a week. try avon anew retroactive+ 2in1 cleanser/toner $12 so you can do both things in one step, and then use a medicated lotion or a regular moisturizer and a spot treatment. washing your face only takes 5 minutes of your time at the most... i think you can fit it in. if i can, anyone can!
good luck and have fun!!!

what do you think about my face care routine?
FromPh
what do you think about my daily morning, evening routine care to my face.. ?
after i wake up in the morning i wash my face with "MASTER FACIAL SCRUB Oil Control 2in1 action.
Action 1. cleansing with gentle exfoliation with micro scrubs and an anti-bacterial agent that gently exfoliate skin and remove dirt to help prevent pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.
Action 2. excess oil removal with ZEROIL that removes excess oil.
--then after i finish scrubbing my face with master--
i apply "VASELINE total moisture nourishing with vitamin E soya and oat extracts 24 hours moisturizing ...
so what do you think, is that enough to use to my face or maybe those products are not compatible if they are use in same time. so then pimples maybe build?
and the same routine in the morning with in evening. i everyday do that. so whats your recommend?
Answer
It is not recommended to use a scrubbing cleanser everyday. Use a gentle foaming cleanser most days and use the scrub 1 or 2 days maximum. A cleanser won't help with pimples and oily skin because it is washed down before it can do much.
If you would to like deal with blemishes apply a product that contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Either, or, not both at the same time.
For benzoyl peroxide, try Oxy acne vanishing treatment with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide
For salicylic acid, try Neutrogena acne stress control 3-in-1 hydrating treatment. salicylic acid is actually an exfoliant, so it would get rid of dead skin cells in much a gentler and effective way than a scrub. It is best to use these products at night.
I'm not sure about the Vaseline moisturizer as I never tried it before, but if it is working for you use it at night on top of the other products I recommended if you would to try them out. It will be compatible with any cleanser, as cleanser or scrubs don't effect the moisturizer that you put on after.
In the daytime, you should use more lightweight products, as thick lotions and creams will produce more oil. after cleansing your face, use a lightweight moisturizer with sunscreen of at least SPF 15.
As a final note, make sure you never buy products that contain "alcohol denatured", or "alohol denat" the short version. Alcohol is a very harmful ingredient for skin.
