Q. Im looking for a new shampoo and conditioner, I have dry and curly hair. I like using shampoos with no sulfates or harsh chemicals so it is more moisturizing. I have already tried Organix shampoos and Redmond any suggestions? Or tips to make my ends look more moisturized? Thanks!

Answer
Organix or Redmond or over the counter works. It is a billion dollar business, less product poisoning, no matter who made them or how much you spend or how often you use them.

In the beauty or hair industry, there is no industry-agreed meaning for terms like 'organic' or 'natural'. Unlike the food industry, these terms are not regulated for cosmetics which means companies can use these terms pretty freely.
Also, products like shampoo, conditioner and body wash are mostly made of water so therefore are mostly natural (because water is natural, right?). So if a shampoo is 90% water, then a company can simply claim "90% organic or natural" and be telling the truth. Certainly, this isn't in the spirit of what people believe organic to mean, but it is within the law.

Don't believe the hype: "For skin care products, 'organic is not enough,. Some organic products are fabulous, and some are not." ~ Dr. Lisa Chipps , M.D. specializes in removing skin cancer & repairing the resultant wound (laser therapy whiz) in Rodeo Drive.
"Organic skin care products are trendy, but that does not mean nonorganic ones are dangerous," Wendy E. Roberts, M.D. past president of the Women's Dermatologic Society.

FRIZZY HAIR: "As a teenager my hair was pretty frizzy and more damaged," says Natalie Coughlin, a California Olympian, who's one-quarter Filipino. She credits a healthful diet, good hair-care products and working with instead of against her hair type for her healthy mane. "It's important that hairstylists shape my layers so that when I do wear it wavy and play up my natural curls it looks good," Coughlin says, adding that leave-in conditioner makes her frizz more manageable.
"But as I've gotten older I've learned to really embrace my hair's natural waves and natural texture rather than constantly straightening it," she says.
Many women before the 60's, cover their hair with a scarf to prevent frizzies, after they've set their hair with plastic curlers. There weren't any hair products for curly/wavy hair, but they knew how to prevent their hair from frizzy hair. They also set their short hair with bobby pins, after they're washed, air dry, then take their pins out, gently brushing or brushing their hair. I know! Mom started giving me perms in 2nd grade. I styled my hair before going to school, in bobby pins, they remained styled until I go to bed.

If your ends need moisturized, HEAT & CHEMICALS can do that to the hair. Heat protectant doesn't protect hair 100%. Like using sunscreen, you still get sunburned. Same with hair. Even from the sun, I'd use an umbrella or a wide brim hat (no holes). In your case, you need to trim the ends, allowing new growth to take over. Then, good hair care and eating all the healthy foods from Mother Nature - takes care of everything.
Itâs the dirty little secret shampoo companies donât want you to knowâwhen you wash your hair with one of those nutrient-rich shampoos, most of the nutrients and active ingredients in the product donât actually end up in your hair, they wind up down the drain⦠along with all the money you spent on the shampoo.
Why does this happen? Because the shampoo molecules they contain are too large to penetrate the cells of hair and more importantly the tiny hair follicles where our hair actually grows. They sit atop the follicle until we wash them away.
Why is that a problem?
Our hair works basically the same wayâif you want to treat your hair right, you need to treat the roots.

It is HOW you use to style your hair or what styling tools that damage the hair, and what chemicals you're adding to the hair, not the shampoo.

What are some songs to choreograph to?

Q. I'll take anything, really, from any genre.
I don't care if it's old or new.

I don't know why, but I'm in a choreographing mood this week.
