Hi, some time this year (I cant remember when) i cut my hair to shoulder length. It was REALLY long and I loved it but i cut it short so it would grow out thicker (I have always had really thin hair). Now I am growing it back out again its a really weird in between length and I got a lead part in a play that is on the 22nd of June 2013 and they want my hair as long as it can be so I have about 6 months to grow long hair. I didn't really care about making it thicker because it is growing out thicker. At the moment my hair is about 19 inches down from my scalp so not to long but not short. My hair is very healthy and has never been died/ is only straightened or curled rarely.

Please can you give me an idea of how long my hair will probably be by then and if there is any thing (cheap) that I can do to make it grow faster (I have heard that I should wear it up all the time, use special hair growth shampoo/conditioner etc.)

HAIR TRIVIA:
⢠The hair on your head grows at about 0.00000001 miles per hour. That's a half-inch per month. Mine grows 3/4" in 29 days. In 6 months? Do the math.

If you're healthy, & very active, your nails are growing, your hair should be growing RIGHT NOW. If you want perfection, you NEED patience.

Babies can do that, by drinking their milk. . . . so can you, so can any of us without any help. If you've straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.

Do cold showers help keep skin moist?

The Maveri

Every time I take a warm or hot shower, my skin comes out very dry and itchy and my hair is dry and fragile.
I've heard that cold showers help retain the oils on your skin that keep them soft and moisturized.

So do cold showers help with that? What are your experiences?

Answer
Too much soaking in the sun, tub or pool ARE SKIN'S worst enemies.

Use warm water if you have dry skin.

Eating good healthy foods helps the skin heal, also. My hubby has high cholesterol, so he always like the sun and take a hot shower, 4-5x a week. But because of his good genes, his skin is never dry!
My hubby have been eating the same types of foods for 40 years, but I just avoid to eat less lean meats or fatty foods and eat more fresh fruits & veggies.

All the vitamins & minerals you need for good skin care comes from all the healthy foods you eat from Mother Nature.

I also have Discoid Lupus - a skin disease my dermatologist told me caused from the sun, so I've been protecting myself by using blanket in the car, a wide brim hat, or umbrella when I'm outside.

As for your hair: heat & chemicals are hair's worst enemies.

Washing less often, builds the natural oil your hair needs, to get them smoother, shinier, silkier, softer. Man-made products are just temporary, until you wash them again, and at the same time washing off the natural oil your hair NEEDS. Hair products just absorb on your hair if they're dry, like a sponge.
