Every time I eat certain foods, I tends to break out with pimples and I pop them and it eventually turns black. My skin is oily and I have to keep washing my face. What should I do?

Answer
Everyone will have a different opinion on what product you should use. The fact is everyones skin is different, and many of the products will not work for you.

For example, my friend said to use proactiv, it actually made my skin worse, same with a lot of other brands.

My suggestion is to see your family doctor.
He/She is the only one that will know exactly what to do. They will know what type of skin you have, how severe the acne is, and they know what ingredients will work best for your skin.

I have oily skin too and i used to have acne, and sensitive skin too! it was horrible, but after i went to my doctor i've never had a problem. Also, you can ask your doctor to take away some blackheads/whiteheads for you. They have special tools for it.
Don't pop your pimples, you'll end up with acne scars.

He told me to use a good bar of soap to wash my face, and to use this medicated cream he prescribed me.

And fyi, a lot of the products in the stores will irritate the acne and make it worse.

Here's a link to an article about healthy foods that help the skin.
It's actually a myth that eating certain foods will cause you to break out. But, there are food that are enriched with vitamins that your skin needs to stay healthy.

It's really when someone eats oily foods/junk food, they will touch their faces without realizing it, then it will cause a pimple. So just make sure you wash your hands often and touch your face as little as possible.
You could keep purell with you at all times and use it after you eat.

***One more tip. It really helps if you exfoliate your skin.
I do this for my entire body, it clears away dead skin cells and takes out the dirt from your pores.
You gently massage your skin in circles til it's a pinky rose colour.
Exfoliating masks are great too. I do it once a week or so.
I get the Life brand package, it's about 3 bucks per mask.

Here's a picture of what i'm talking about. You can buy them pretty much anywhere, and they're really cheap. Just remember to replace it once the scrub has lost it's toughness.

Skin problem: What type of food should I eat and not eat?

Q. I have oily skin and I am wondering what type of food should I eat and not eat.

I been being healthy but it seem that my skin still remain oily easily with ances. That is really annoying. I tried to stop eating prawns and spicy food. I eat at least one apple per day.

Can someone give me more advices?

Answer
Food doesn't always cause break outs, I've never had any sort of food cause a break out but I have a friend who gets one any time she has a milk product. While eating healthy will help your skin, eating badly won't necessarily make it worse. There are so many myths out there about certain foods causing break outs, most of them aren't remotely true or only for some people. If you've cut certain foods from your diet but haven't noticed an improvement then most likely they were never a problem to begin with.

If regular treatments and proper care haven't resolved your skin issues, then it's probably time to hit up your Dr.
