Another sake producer, Gekkeikan Sake Co., released a line of four products, including facial cleanser and toner, under the label Moist Moon over the Internet in October. Moist Moon skin-care goods have been a hit with consumers who prefer natural products and do not want to use anything strong on their skin, since they contain no added fragrances, coloring, or mineral oils. Meanwhile, Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co. also joined the fray, coming out with three Rice Beauty products, including a toner and a milky lotion. The company plans to expand its sales network from online shopping to supermarkets and other retailers. The products provide long-lasting hydration for just ¥1,000 ($10 at 100 yen to the dollar) to ¥2,500 ($25).
Staying Young with Soybean Isoflavones
Cosmetics containing soy milk are also popular, thanks to the benefits of isoflavones, compounds that function like the female hormone estrogen. Isoflavones are found in the liquid generated when soybeans are fermented with lactic bacteria. Tokiwa Pharmaceuticals Co. recently marketed a line of basic skin-care goods that uses an isoflavone-rich liquid made from organic beans. The products are said to remove active enzymes and slow down the aging of the skin, prevent the production of melanin and maintain the skin's whiteness, and keep in moisture. Finally, Japan Corporation, a subsidiary of ST Chemical Corporation, has marketed four skin care products featuring a combination of the amino acids that make natto sticky. The products do not have natto's stickiness or pungent aroma, but they leave the skin feeling moist thanks to the inclusion of these moisture-maintaining amino acids. The soybeans used to manufacture them are not genetically modified. The products are available at drugstores and other retail shops for about ¥1,000 ($10).

I have read some info on japanese skin care and how it's suppose to be really good for the skin because it contains some really beneficious ingredients like rice bran and stuff like that. It's suppose to make your skin lighter and prevent premature aging. Does anyone know if this is true?

I wouldn't say its better, its different.
The bleaching agent in it is typically kojic acid - which is derived from Mulberry leaves...it interferes with the bodies ability to convert the amino acid tyrosine into melanin...the effect is temporary, and quite mild.
Jason skincare has the same ingredients, and can be found at most health food stores....I cant remember the name of the products, but they have a yellow and orange package...
Asians all as crazy about pale skin the way westerners are crazy about tans...which is why so many asian skin care lines "whiten" skin...
Kanebo is one you might find on ebay, and it might surprise you, but Shoyeido, which is an upscale department store brand here, is something akin to Dove or Oil of Olay here in Japan, rather common inexpensive stuff - in either case, you can usually find it in Japanese grocers....keep in mind that Asian skin is typically much drier than caucasian skin because they have fewer oil glands per square inch - if you have oily skin, you might not like them at all.

Effective way to get rid of acne scars and skin?

Are there any products, or at home remedies, that you've found helped heal acnes scars and especially acne pits? Like the ones you get after blackheads?
I saw that Cure Natural Aqua Gel seemed to be a great exfoliator but I'm wary to by oversea products, and people have had concern about the radiation levels that could possible end up from Japanese made cosmetic/skin care products.
If anyone has anything to suggest that is more natural/botanical (like Cure Natural Aqua Gel) it'd be really appreciated.

Are Asian beauty products cheaper in Asia or America?

I plan to go to South Korea soon and I'm interested in picking up a few asian beauty/skin care products (namely japanese and korean brands). Obviously I assumed that they would be cheaper in asia, but a friend of mine said that they're actually more expensive over there.
So would brands like Skin Food, Skin79, Shiseido, Laneige, and Boscia be more affordable in South Korea?

If you buy like local brands (the ones that aren't so known internationally) it would be cheaper in Asia. I'm from Asia myself and when I lived there I bought loads of Japanese/Korean/Taiwanese products. If you do go to Singapore expect it to be much cheaper.
I'm just saying this because I'm Asian and if I compare it to the ones my dad buys me from Europe (like Elizabeth Arden etc) it's way cheaper! Just don't buy directly from the airport or you'll really be ripped off. You should try going to local pharmacies and you'll usually find every product you need.~

What are some skin care products that an average Japanese woman may use to keep her skin clear?
Any lotion, facial scrubs/masks, baths, or treatments anyone can suggest?
What I was trying to ask was for websites or stores that sell Japanese brand skin care products, I tried the l'oreal already a long time ago but it didn't give me the result I was going for. I'm trying to lighten my skin, more importantly, my face.

I use the l'oreal 360 clean with the scrublet. I use it twice a day everyday. Ever since I started using it I got compliments from friends, family and even strangers saying I have reallly beautiful skin. Just make sure to clean with warm water to open pores so the cleanser can get the dirt out of the pores and wash with cold water after to close pores. Right after you get a ice cube and rub it all over your face to close pores and tighten face, and moisturize. Make sure not to touch ur face alot and sleep with ur face facing to the ceiling so the germs from the pillow won't get on ur face. And when u got outside always wear sunblock
