How do I get my skin like this?

Labels:

Your imagi

http://www.skinnyvscurvy.com/annalynne-mccord/girls-90210-without-make-up-people-magazine.html

There's no make up or photoshop in this photo, it's only moisturizer that they have on. And common it's four of them they can't all honestly have naturally perfect skin. I know they're actresses that probably can spend time and money on their skin that us regular folks cannot, but it's not impossible is it? My skin isn't bad now, just a few blemishes here and there, but I'd like it to be better like theirs. Tips?
Tnx in advance

Answer
I know you think that these girls are not wearing any makeup, but they are wearing concealer and are put under flattering lights for the photo shoot. Dont be fooled into thinking they look this good when first waking up.
You can make your skin the best it can be though, by eating well, sleeping well, exercising, controlling stress, avoiding drinking, smoking, and sun exposure without SPF. Also adoping a skin care regime that suits your skin- cleansing twice a day, exfoliating(gently), moisturizing with an oil free product, and a topical anti acne product where needed. Getting a facial with every season change is also recommended.
ps- trust me- they dont all have naturally perfect skin

tv series : original vs remake v old v new knight rider old knight rider new battlestar gallactia old or?

e

new. bionic woman old or new 90210 old or new . thats all i can think of

Answer
Consensus agrees: Original.

Here's what I said recently on another forum, about the V remake:

Well, the OLD "V" did get the soap opera slant, in "The Final Battle" -- the original (1983) did not soap itself up.

And the old "V" did some things right:

1. Plot pacing. It's not choppy and puts more equal time on all situations. The new one goes from scene to scene to scene, very rapidly, (except for the shuttlecraft bit)

2. Old "V" did not have CGI, but in the new one it's painfully obvious what's CGI. Right down to the robot that sends killer needles at everybody... for that matter, why do the new aliens not have laser guns to ensure the humans can't defeat them?! (See "logic" below for more...)

3. Logic. You know, if the FBI people can't figure out that the one remaining terrorist cell network running since the arrival of the ships, fire the lot of them. Never mind, if the visitors were here all this time, wouldn't they have anticipated everybody dropping their phones? Amongst other issues. But we'll see in the remaining episodes if they get rid of the scientists or doctors...

4. Uh, soap opera isn't gone. The new series has the young male (with the herpes scar!) going googly-eyed for the visitor girl. Now, the visitor girl appears to have the hots for him. The heavyhanded direction bashes this over our heads. Since when can an iguana have a "romantic instinct" toward a completely disparate species? He-to-her works because she's wearing a skin suit. Her-to-him is asinine. Also see "logic". (maybe it's a hokey medical experiment thing. Maybe not.)

5. Reverb voices. Not present.

6. In-jokes. At the start, the kid says "this is like independence day!" and his friend says "like every other invasion movie". For those of us with an IQ higher than 20, the allegory about the writers not liking what they're doing is obvious.

6b. Speaking of allegory, and maybe this is because the pilot skips through its checklist so amateurishly, the "hope" references are just about passable, but the pun of "universal health care" screams "cheap vapid hot-button topical commentary". Especially as the story still needs to show more than a token 5 seconds of a housing crisis, that is not enough to firmly set up the problems the world wants hope and change FROM! This is still supposed to be fiction and they did it perfectly well in the original, so why couldn't they do it here?

For these and other reasons, I cannot put the new show over the old one. It's "remake-by-numbers" and it's a waste of all the talent involved. Except for the CGI shots, of which every one that isn't centered on the mothership looks incredibly fake.

http://www.pajiba.com/tv_reviews/v-review.php

No arguments against that review.

And a few comments of my own:

At least the original had proper structure and pacing. This sloppy reboot shoves down all the nuance without any grace. Especially turning the journalist guy -- it feels wrong. Forced. Contrived.

But consider: If the CGI death robot looks so phony, imagine how bad laser beams would look!

Even the original, cornball or cliched or not-A-level acting it had, was still made by people who knew plot structure a heck of a lot better. (save for one scene, but I'd rather something have padding than to shove things down peoples' throats.

It's revealed the visitors have been here for decades. Who put them there, undetected, to begin with? It tries to be big but it's all really small; it stumbles over its own logic because it hasn't got any logic. Then again, we have the CGI spear-spewing robot that has a limited arsenal and in comes visitors with knives (uh, ray guns would ensure you lot wouldn't lose... UGH! AWFUL!)

Indeed, a properly-paced setup might make the gibber about "hope" more believable and less like a cheap allegory. Oh, some token "housing prices" and other topical issues are briefly mentioned at the start. But that tokenism is too brief to even BE tokenism.

Okay, the priest guy doing his spiel about taking the time to read things -- the writer (and it's not Kenneth Johnson, the other name) can't be a republican because most of us saw through McCain fairly quickly...

Not to mention the 5th columnist who shows up - like the not-mysterious-terrorist-cell -- the ONLY cell -- to continue once the motherships appear, the guy who says his past is behind him. How much more obvious can they make these things, never mind it's a reboot so everybody already knows the gimmick... indeed, the visitors - if they are so shrewd - would know all this already. I'm not buying any of this. Even better pacing would render some of these obvious whoopies nowhere near as bad.

And the author is right, the only surprise left is when it's revealed they're storing people as food. Whoop-dee-doo.

I have some questions about skin and makeup.?

Moomoo Kac

I'm creating a new identity. I'm losing weight, colouring my hair, and looking after myself.

FACE: For my face, what should I do to care for it? I already cleanse my face every morning and I moisturize sometimes, but should I use a toner? What would a toner do for my skin?
How can I get my foundation to stay all day? I have really oily skin and that makes my foundation melt away after a few hours, and that really irritates me, I don;t like putting foundation on at school, it makes me feel dirty.

LIPS: What are some nude, peachy lip coloured lipsticks that aren't pale like a foundationey colour, but have a pinkey hue to them? Oh, and are relatively cheap and available NSW (New South Wales, Autralia)

EYES: Do you know of any videos on youtube or anything that can help a girl do winged gel eyeliner?

HAIR CARE: I recently bleached my hair, and it's not all that damaged, but the ends break easier than they did prior to the bleach. So, good shampoos and conditioners/ treatments..

Can you also try and keep things as cheap as possibly, I don;t have a lot of money.

Thanks in advance.

Answer
Firstly, can i just say CONGRATULATIONS!:)
well done for looking after yourself. You'll feel a lot better about yourself, a new year a new you eh!

FACE:
Well what I would recommend:
- use a cleanser to get rid of your make up
- wash your face with water and a gentle face wash - it will make you feel a lot fresher.
- moisturize twice a day, morning and night. In the words of Naomi from 90210 'moisturize twice a day keeps the bags away!' As you've described your skin as quite oily, I suggest you use a gentle moisturizer and not one designed for dry skin.

That can be your daily routine, however if you want to do a little extra you can do this:
- steam your face once a weak. - Steaming your face opens up your pores in your face, so it cleans your face and unblocks your pores - i suggest you do this once a week.
To steam your face is simple.

1) Make sure all your make up is off and your face has been washed.
2) Boil the kettle and when its boiled pour the hot water into a large bowl.
3) put your face just above the boiling water (MAKE SURE YOU DONT PUT YOUR FACE IN THE WATER!) You just want to steam to rise to your face - when your face is above the water, put a towel over your head so its covering the bowl as well - this way you wont let any steam escape.

You might also want to exfoliate once a week - exfoliators aren't expensive, i have one from the brand Simple and it cost around 3-4 pounds.

LIPS:
Max factor have released some lip pens, there in lots of different colours and you can get some peachy colours, here's a link to them:

http://www.boots.com/en/Max-Factor-Lasting-Lip-Tint_1129234/

If you use them though, your lips have to be well moisturized otherwise the lip pens will dry out your lips though so be careful.

EYES:
I use a liquid eyeliner (L'oreal superliner to be precise) and i find its really easy to use.

Heres a link to a youtube video on how to apply liquid eyeliner, skip to 5.00 because at the start she just talks for ages!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI8nTPlz0k4

HAIR CARE:
I recommend going to the hair dressers to get a trim, or even if you dont have a lot of money, get a family member to do it for you instead. It's really not that hard! just wash you're hair, comb it through, and then get someone to trim your ends in a straight line.

If you are planning on dying your hair, i wouldnt dye your hair lighter as it ruins your hair more then if you dye it darker :)

For shampoo's and conditioners, go for some that are for damaged hair. And also you could even get a hair mask. There really good! I had one for damaged hair and you just apply it like conditioner when you want and it just really conditions your hair. Maybe try 'Aussie 3 Minute Miracle' conditioner, here's a link:

http://www.boots.com/en/Aussie-3-Minute-Miracle-Reconstructor_1074/

Hope ive helped and good luck!:)

Answer
I say there is a possibility with the Tummy Tuck. But for the Breast Reduction, she seriously might have needed one. Insurances do see this as medically necessary depending on the amount of grams that are estimated to be removed, if there is significant back and shoulder pain, shoulder grooving, if conservative treatments have been tried and failed. But also of note, a Tummy Tuck does not make you "skinny", you only lose as much weight that is taken off. So if that skin/fat weigh only 5lbs, you lose 5lbs. This is not some magical procedure that makes you lose weight. She might have also wanted and felt the need for this procedure because she had recurrent yeast infections between the folds of her skin.

I don't think anyone can or will know for sure. She might have died young anyways, this might have been circumstantial. She might have had an underlying medical condition, that manifested itself after the body was put under this kind of stress. Or, there really was something that went wrong in the surgery. Again, I think the West family is going to keep this private pending all the investigations, only time will tell.

I guess to really answer the question, yes we have those TV shows like Dr. 90210, The Swan and Extreme Make-over that can lead people to believe one thing but in reality it is another. It is the doctors and the patients responisiblity to make a responsible decision on there care. And the doctors to makes sure the patient is educated for the procedure they are looking for, not only with plastic surgery but all other too. The doctor should also be responsible to make sure the patient is medically okay for the procedure too.

In the long run for this it could have been the pressure but she might have also sought out help for her back pain and such. We don't know and I don't think we can make an educated judgement at this time.

My dog is losing a lot of her hair, she seems okay but I'm worried and need a free animal hospital or clinic? I live in Reseda California. If anyone knows of a free or a low income clinic or hospital I can take her to?

Answer
Well, Dogs can lose hair for a number of different reasons.
1) Mange
2) Skin infections
3) Fleas
4) Allergies
5) Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in Dogs.
6) Pregnancy. (Sounds weird, but it's true - some female dogs lose hair around their coat when they're pregnant.)
7) Ringworm in dogs.
If none of these sound like it, there is a very comprehensive list of every condition that can cause baldness or hair issues in dogs that I put in the "Source" area below my answer...

there is one in South Valley.

VCA McClave Animal Hospital
6950 Reseda Boulevard
Reseda, CA 91335
(818) 457-9301 And they're open M-F 9:00am - 8:00pm, Sa-Su 8:30am - 4:30pm
It is also an emergency clinic for after hours.

Sorry but I'm not familiar with that area but I believe that's close.
They "Say" that your dogs health is their #1 priority, take your dog in and express your concerns, and most of the time a good veternarian will work out some type of payment plan with you.
Good Luck! I hope your doggie is okay!!

PS. Don't call them, go in so you can talk to them face to face!! :)

PSS. if that doesn't work out, here is a list of ones in your area 9 times out of 10 you'll find a vet that will work out a payment plan with you. I'm becoming a vet and I KNOW that the animals health would be my #1 concern, NOT the money.
