Is there something dangerous about having to much sunscreen on?

I work for a day care center and every day before we go out I have to apply sun screen on all or most of the kids . I put on about 4 - 5 different brands of sunscreen , maybe more, on these kids. my question is does this affect your skin in a bad way? and would it also after the children's skin because of the different products being used ?
